"What are we going to do now, Zac?" I asked on the way home. He would probably hate me if I brought up Tabby's suspicions about her mother. I wanted to discuss it again, but keeping him in a good mood was key to my own safety.
Or should I go back to the penthouse and spend the night there? I hadn't told Dexton about my departure. He would probably be very worried about me.
Hearing my question, he finally activate autopilot and focus his attention on me.
"What do you want to do?" he asked without answering my question. I just shrugged. "How about we have dinner? I'll cook for you."
It sounded tempting, but for the sake of our sanity, I decided to choose Dexton for tonight. I mean, not for sex, but just to stay because Dexton might not even touch me.
"Um, I'm sorry, Zac. I don't mean to reject your offer. It's so tempting, but I think it would be better if I went back to the penthouse."
"You prefer him?" Zac accused, catching me off guard.
