Her voice changed instantly—sweet, bright, excited.
"Hmm? This afternoon?" She tapped on her calendar with perfectly manicured nails. "Let me check. Wait, ya?"
She turned toward her father, seated across the executive lounge.
"Papa?"
Satoshi looked up from his tablet. "Hmm?"
"My friend from high school wants to have lunch with me. Can I?"
He lowered his glasses slightly, eyeing her with suspicion. "Is it a man?"
Satomi giggled and leaned in, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "No~ Papa~ It's Sayako. You remember her?"
