Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Of Love And Duty.

The Cronoverse: Dainen's Kingdom

 The Bedchamber

The grand halls of Dainen's palace were silent, save for the faint echo of footsteps approaching the royal bedchamber. The heavy door slid open with a whisper, revealing the first figure to step inside—Amiss, her long hair cascading over her shoulders as she entered with quiet grace. Her eyes, soft yet knowing, immediately sought out Dainen, who stood by the window, his back turned to her.

"Are we going to do it, love?" Amiss asked, her voice gentle but curious. "Or did you call us here for something else?"

Before Dainen could answer, Deriss strode into the room, her sharp gaze scanning his face. She crossed her arms, her stance confident. "From the look on your face, love," she said, a smirk playing on her lips, "it seems you didn't call us here for sex."

Dainen turned, his expression unreadable, and shut the door behind them with a quiet click. He nodded slowly in response to Deriss's words, confirming her suspicion. Without a word, he walked toward the massive bed that dominated the room, its silken sheets rumpled from restless nights.

"It's good that you both can see through me," Dainen finally said, his voice low and steady. "And yes, I didn't call you here for that. There's something I need to say… about the upcoming war."

At the mention of war, the atmosphere in the room shifted. Both Amiss and Deriss straightened, their attention locking onto Dainen with sudden intensity. "Alright," they responded in unison, their voices firm. "What is it?"

Dainen took a deep breath, his fists clenching at his sides. The weight of his next words pressed heavily on him. "I'm sorry," he began, his voice rough with emotion, "but neither of you—nor Lenon—will be joining the war. When the fighting begins, you will all remain here, in the palace."

Amiss stepped forward, her bare feet silent against the marble floor. She reached out, her fingers gently wrapping around Dainen's right arm. "Are you afraid of losing us, Dainen?" she asked, her voice tinged with both concern and defiance. "Or do you see us as weak rulers? Incapable of standing against those so-called gods and their allies?"

Deriss remained where she stood, her arms still crossed, but her eyes burned with a quiet fire. "Is that how you see us, love?" she demanded. "Weak? In need of your protection?"

Dainen lifted his gaze to meet hers, his expression unwavering. "No," he said firmly. "That's not it. You both belong to me now, and I refuse to watch you fall in battle. I know what we are—rulers, warriors, beings of incredible power, strength, and speed. But right now, neither of you can fight at your full strength. And unless you haven't noticed… I have." He paused, letting his words sink in. "You've both taken in. And according to the Law of the First Father, pregnant rulers do not fight in wars. You know why."

Amiss exhaled sharply, her lips curling into a wry smile. "So you knew we were with child," she said, shaking her head. "Seriously, for someone who claims he's never done this before and doesn't know what to do… you sure see a lot."

Dainen couldn't help but smile at that.

Deriss, however, remained serious. "Fine," she conceded, though her tone made it clear she wasn't entirely happy. "We won't join the war. But promise us you'll come back alive."

Amiss nodded in agreement. "She's right," she added, her voice softer now. "And lately… something feels off about this war."

Dainen's smile lingered as he reached for both of them, pulling them onto the bed with him. "Yeah," he murmured, his voice a quiet vow. "I will be back."

Then, the light in the room dimmed. Clothes burned away in an instant, leaving only skin and desire. Lips met in a heated clash, breaths mingling as Dainen tasted them both, his hands roaming possessively. Moans filled the chamber, spilling into the hallway beyond as the bed began to rock beneath them.

Dainen took Amiss from behind, his movements fierce and unrelenting, each thrust drawing louder cries from her lips. Deriss pressed against him, her mouth claiming his in a deep, passionate kiss as their bodies moved in perfect sync. The sounds of their pleasure echoed through the palace—Amiss's screams, Dainen's growls, the rhythmic creaking of the bed—a symphony of raw need and unspoken promises.

The Domainverse – A Tale of Chaos

The Domainverse stood as the Three Kings' Domain, a place where power and danger intertwined. At its highest point, atop the tallest building, Kazo and the fierce warriors of Zerich's group gathered. The wind howled around them as they prepared for their mission.

Kazo, a man of few words but great strength, turned to his comrades. His voice was firm, filled with urgency.

"Listen, men," he began. "Our commander has given us a task. We must escape this place and reach Chief Lesu to request backup. Meanwhile, our leader and Martha have gone to Dano's Prison Yard to rescue our captured brothers. They believe our men are being held there."

The warriors exchanged glances, their faces hardened by battles past. They knew the risks. They knew the cost of failure.

Kazo continued, his voice rising with determination. "For this plan to work, we must create a distraction—a big one. We will charge through the main gate. If anyone dares to stand in our way…" He paused, his fists tightening. "Kill them all. Let them feel your rage, your pain, your suffering. Let them know the fury of those who have been denied their freedom!"

A roar erupted from the group. "YEAHHH!" they shouted in unison, their voices shaking the very air around them.

Kazo clenched his fists, his muscles tensing. "Now, we move! We bring havoc upon Dano's troops! We tear this kingdom apart!"

Without hesitation, they leaped from the towering building, their bodies cutting through the air like blades. The moment their feet touched the ground, they surged forward, a storm of fury and vengeance. Their target—the main gate, guarded by Dano's heavily armed soldiers.

At the Main Gate – The Second Captain's Warning

Among Dano's forces stood Akam, the Second Captain, a seasoned warrior with sharp eyes. He spotted the incoming threat immediately. His voice boomed across the battlefield as he raised the alarm.

"ALL TROOPS, TO YOUR POSITIONS!" he commanded. "The enemy is here! Let none of them pass!"

The soldiers snapped into action, weapons drawn, shields raised. "YES, SIR!" they responded, their voices strong but laced with tension.

The air crackled with anticipation. The clash was inevitable.

Kazo and his warriors charged forward, their battle cries echoing through the Domainverse. Blades flashed, armor clashed, and the ground trembled beneath the force of their assault.

This was war.

This was chaos.

And it had only just begun.

To be continued...
