Opening the water bag, Zhan Qi crept closer to one of the war horses. When he was just a few steps away, he poured some water into his palm.
Stretching out his hand to the war horse, he whispered, "Good horse, do you want some water?"
Most of the war horses were intelligent because they were trained since they were young age. When the war horse heard Zhan Qi's words, its cloudy eyes focused on the water in his palm.
After a brief moment of stillness, the war horse weakly lowered its head and licked the water directly from Zhan Qi's palm. Upon tasting the cold, sweet water, the war horse began licking faster.
Seeing the war horse drink obediently from his palm, Zhan Qi poured more water into his palm and whispered, "Good horse, do you want to follow me?"
The war horse didn't respond but continued drinking greedily.
