"Cough… Cough… That might have been a bit much." Waving the dust away. A glowing orb was revealed.
"The Honkai energy is stable…
…
IT'S STABLE!! FUCKING FINALLY" He jumped straight up, pulling a move right out of Mario.
"It took 2 months to do but it finally worked."
Since he had joined Moth formally, Thor had been testing the Auralite he and Eden gathered, trying to integrate runes into it.
He thought it wouldn't take too long originally, the issue? It was very volatile, and he ran out of Auralite. Eden couldn't find anyone selling it, even when he asked Mobius to get someone on the black market channels.
"Thor? What happened?" With a bed sheet wrapped around herself. Groggy and still half out of it, Elysia came to investigate what Thor had been doing in his lab.
She had been woken by the explosion as he set up the lab in her dorm – She hadn't used it since their first night together anyway, just adding a door to it from his room.
While a common occurrence, he never caused a sound this loud when tinkering as he called it with the auralite stuff.
His vision snapped to her and realised her state. "Hmm, oh, did I wake you? Sorry, no need to worry, I just made a breakthrough."
He vanished, appearing in front of her, pulling her into a kiss, she melted into it, before picking her up and putting her back to bed.
"I'll tell you later, just get your beauty sleep as you call it." He walked back to his lab chuckling to himself leaving Elysia alone to her sleep.

Mobius's lab
"Is this what you wanted me to look for?" Thor had brought the stable auralite to Mobius's lab so they could run some tests on it, maybe even replicate it without the runes.
"You know this isn't my area of expertise don't you?" Mobius wondered why he brought it to her, and not to say… Mei, someone who's been working on a type of personal enhancement suit.
"Why bother her? You know how she gets. I even have to bring her breakfast and dinner to her room when Kevin's on missions." He also had to do it sometimes in general as neither of them could cook, and he wouldn't call Kevin making instant noodles cooking.
It soon circulated how good of a cook he was so he became the de facto chief chef in the cafeteria kitchen. With his teachings so many more people eat in the cafeteria than anywhere else nowadays. Thor even pitches in sometimes when he has time.
"Klein!" With him mentioning food. She was reminded of the heavenly taste so she called out to Klein, who nodded understanding what she wanted and put on some of Thor's homemade instant noodles.
Wryly smiling he mentions, "I know I said they are healthy, but too much of a good thing is bad." He eyed her.
Her face didn't change, making him facepalm, "You know this, how many people did you kill before understanding that hmm?"
Before she could answer Klein interrupted them. "Dr Arawn. This is for you." Handing Thor the earpiece and Mobius the now ready noodles before going back to her own.
"Yello…" Putting in the earpiece they started to brief him on the situation. An emperor-class Honkai beast had appeared and was wreaking havoc through the city. "... I'll be there soon." He put the orb and earpiece on the table before speeding off.
What do I do with this then? Mobius realised he left the orb with her and when she tried to pick it up it zapped her.
Klein was having her own troubles, some much more intense troubles. Boba tea or noodles, having one ruins the others. Her brain was working the fastest it had worked in years before short circuiting from overuse. 'Curse you Dr Thor.' She gave up and blamed Thor.
She ended up having the boba as the noodles had gone cold. (F's for Klein)

Stopping by the training hall, Thor was looking for Aurora and Hua, who were training with one another, Aurora learning martial arts and Hua trying to improve her reactions.
'Found them' Lightning crackles before becoming a trail as Aurora and Hua vanish from the field leaving a blue streak behind.

"We're here." He stopped just outside the city letting Aurora and Hua down, the latter almost hurling in the moment.
"Dr!? What was that for??" Of course Hua would be mad about being suddenly abducted with no warning.
"Now, now, my little birb." He placated her while Aurora scanned the surroundings noticing the entity emitting a dangerous amount of Honkai in its surroundings. 'So that's why we're here.'
(Don't mess this up. Impress him, show him how much you want him.) Alter cheered for her success. Kicking her legs from her living room chair constructed from all things she has seen the past couple months.
Aurora erased the last part of her words from her memory. 'I WILL show him how much I've improved, but not… that.'
(...) She was met with silence. She could feel the silent judgement coming from her.
'Okay fine, m–maybe a l–little s–showing.' She conceded a little.
Alter's grin grew. She was finally getting through to this woman. (Yes Yes, just a little showing off, fufu~)
When Aurora was to retort, Thor patted her on the back. "You felt them already? You learned to use your senses at least somewhat properly. I guess my training has paid off." A proud smile, something that made her feel things, things she shouldn't feel from that smile alone.
She shook it off as quickly as it came. Straightening herself up and giving a meek slow nod to his praise.
"Now while Aurora knows, I'll explain it for you, Hua." He pointed at the smoking city. "An emperor-class beast appeared."
It shocked Hua and Aurora now understood why it was a powerful entity. 'If it's emperor-class it makes sense.'
"You, Hua. Are here to watch and learn. If Mei's new project involving her nanobots is successful, you'll be up against these beasts in future by yourself." Hua didn't question whether what he said was true or not. She learned not to doubt him over the past few weeks. The stories she heard from Himeko, when she was with Thor taking down some of the more powerful beasts.
"Aurora is here to take it down. She hasn't fought anyone other than me and Elysia, and she's only been learning martial arts, not practicing it."
'I should be able to beat this thing then. Alter?' She checked with Alter.
(Are you dumb? My birth as a Herrscher caused two. TWO emperor-class beasts to spawn. Even the current you could kill those two beasts in your sleep. This guy is even weaker. They don't have a herrscher to support it either.) Arrogant. Arrogant for sure, but is it really arrogance if she's right? Nah, that's confidence.
That was Alter's take on it anyway
"Aura?" Thor knew she was talking to Alter, but she really needs to fix this habit of freezing when she does that, it's a very big weakness.
"Let's go" Another crackle of lightning followed by a blue streak in place of the three.
Thor dropped Aurora off in the path of the beast and came to the top of a nearby building with Hua casting a barrier around her and the building while he investigates something interesting a few blocks away.
