Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

  After some time passed—

Bai Yu arrived at the coast where the ship dismantling yard was located.

Franky, whose real name was Cutty Flam, had changed his name precisely to evade the scrutiny of the World Government.

This secluded, somewhat rundown area was the perfect place for someone like him to disappear into the shadows.

And it suited Bai Yu's intentions just fine.

Franky's ship dismantling yard spanned a large area.

Next to it stood a scrapyard and parts processing facility, collecting derelict ships for materials and parts.

Franky and his self-styled Franky Family lived in a fortress-like building built out of metal and ship remains—effectively a small castle.

Even though it was already late at night, the entire place was lit up brightly.

Loud music echoed from inside, and the sounds of cheering, drunken singing, and heavy stomping reached Bai Yu's ears.

  A celebration was clearly underway.

Bai Yu shook his head with a faint smirk.

Without hesitation, he pulled a black mask over his face and strode toward the main gate of the yard.

  Bang!

With a deep breath, Bai Yu approached the door—

—and kicked it open with a loud crash.

  Immediately, the noise inside halted.

The music stopped cold. Dozens of people turned their heads, staring at the sudden intruder.

Bai Yu's sharp gaze swept across the crowd.

  He recognized several faces instantly.

The Square Sisters, Mozu and Kiwi, stood out with their eccentric hair and outfits.

  Zambai, the self-proclaimed leader.

  Tamagon, the bizarre mechanic.

Even the bulls, Sodom and Gomorrah, stood nearby in their pens.

All key members of the Franky Family—just like in the original history.

Bai Yu's eyes finally settled on the center stage.

There stood Franky, shirtless except for a red Hawaiian shirt, wearing only a tight blue speedo and his signature sunglasses.

"Oi, you!" Franky called out, studying Bai Yu carefully.

"You one of those punks who were with that crew we 'relieved' earlier today?"

From his tone and smirk, it wasn't hard to tell—they had just scored some loot during the day and were now celebrating.

While the Franky Family's main business was dismantling ships, they were also known to mug careless pirates and tourists alike.

That notoriety made them both feared and despised in Water 7.

Franky clearly mistook Bai Yu for someone connected to the group they ambushed.

"All of you. Out of the way."

  "I'm only here for you—Franky."

Bai Yu's cold voice echoed across the hall.

  Teng!

A moment later, murderous intent exploded from the Franky Family.

Weapons were drawn in unison—pipes, hammers, wrenches, and cannons all aimed at Bai Yu.

Their eyes burned with hostility, ready to tear him apart.

  "Boss Franky!"

"No need to talk to this guy!"

"He barges in like this? Let's show him what happens when you mess with the Franky Family!"

  "Yeah! Boss, give the word!"

The room roared in agreement as they awaited Franky's command.

  "Hahahaha!"

  Franky bellowed with laughter, unfazed.

"If that's what you want—then I leave him to you! Let's see what kind of junk this fool's carrying!"

At his order, the crowd surged forward like a mob.

  Yet—

"I don't have time to play with you."

  Bai Yu remained still.

Suddenly, a sharp glint appeared in his eyes.

  Haoshoku Haki—Conqueror's Haki!

With a single thought, a massive wave of pressure exploded from his body, crashing through the air.

  Hum!

The overwhelming spiritual force slammed into the minds of everyone in the room.

  Plop! Plop! Plop!

In an instant, one by one, the Franky Family collapsed.

Foaming at the mouth, eyes rolled up—knocked out cold without Bai Yu lifting a finger.

Only Franky remained conscious, trembling at the scene before him.

"Wh-What the hell did you just do?!"

  His eyes widened in disbelief.

  "Damn it!"

Knowing he was outmatched, Franky turned and bolted.

  "Soru!" (Shave)

With a loud whoosh, Bai Yu's figure vanished from sight.

The next moment, he reappeared directly in Franky's escape path.

  "Wait! Hold up!"

"I'll give you everything back—every single berry!"

Franky stammered, panic all over his face.

Bai Yu didn't answer. He stepped forward slowly.

"If it's money you want, fine!

Heck, take the whole stash! Take the entire workshop!"

Franky grew more frantic as Bai Yu approached like a reaper.

"You're not listening, huh?! Then I'll fight you!"

  His eyes sharpened.

  "Franky Iron Boxing—Strong Right!"

With a roar, Franky's right fist detached like a rocket, propelled by compressed air.

  Boom!

The mechanized fist exploded toward Bai Yu.

But Bai Yu dodged effortlessly with a small sidestep.

Franky's punch smashed the ground, kicking up dust and debris.

  "Soru!"

Bai Yu moved again—this time to Franky's side.

  "Tekkai—Iron Body."

With a hardened palm shaped into a knife hand, he struck Franky's neck with surgical precision.

  Thud!

Franky's eyes rolled back. His legs buckled.

  He collapsed in a heap.

  Defeated—within three minutes.

  Everyone was down.

Bai Yu calmly removed his black mask and exhaled.

"I remember Franky hid the blueprint of Pluto inside his body..."

He pried open the hidden compartment beneath Franky's mechanical chest—a cavity known only to a select few.

Sure enough, Bai Yu found a tightly rolled scroll nestled inside.

Unfurling it carefully, he examined its contents.

Drawn on aged parchment was the full schematic of a massive warship—an ancient weapon of catastrophic power.

Hundreds of detailed annotations covered its structure.

In the upper-left corner, four imposing words were scrawled boldly—

  Pluto Design Blueprint.
