# Chapter 251: Psychic Ryujin
Hayato felt like the name "Psychic Ryujin" sounded familiar, but before he could say anything, the two boys who had fallen to the ground excitedly said:
"H-he's the strongest Esper, 'Psychic' Ryujin?!"
"We heard you're a Super Duelist who has mastered all the Superpowers in the world!"
"We're so sorry for bumping into you!"
"Please be magnanimous and spare us!"
Hearing the flattery, "Psychic" Ryujin nodded proudly. With a casual wave of his hand, the two young boys on the ground suddenly found they could move their limbs.
"We can move again?"
"Hmph hmph, seeing as you have the good quality of correcting your mistakes, I'll lift the 'Petrification Technique' this time and let you off." Ryujin struck a pose like a reclusive master, his face full of arrogance.
Hearing Ryujin's words, the two young boys immediately scrambled up from the ground. After bowing, they immediately ran into the crowd without looking back, bypassing Hayato who was in the center of the clearing, looking quite afraid of "Psychic" Ryujin.
Hayato noticed that after the two young boys claimed Ryujin was an "Esper", the surrounding people surprisingly and tacitly took a few steps back in unison, making the clearing space larger. They seemed reluctant to get close to Ryujin, even though Hayato, the King of Games, stood nearby, a single victory over him promising immense fame.
His mouth twitched, and Hayato wore a helpless expression. Were these people idiots?
He now completely remembered who this Esper in front of him was. Wasn't this the fake Esper who defeated Ryuzaki and took his newly acquired Evil Knight Dragon, and then lost his own Jinzo to Joey Wheeler?!
He claimed to use Cosmic Energy to see through his opponent's cards, but in reality, he was just exchanging signals with his younger brothers hiding behind the opponent Duelist, getting hand information from them after they saw the cards clearly. Even villains in gambling films were stronger than him; at least they used high technology like cameras and X-ray glasses.
As for the two kids who just claimed they "couldn't move," they were, of course, his two younger brothers. Now that they had run away, they were probably hiding in the crowd, waiting to provide card information for their older brother, right?
While it was rare to see cheating using such methods, even if Hayato hadn't remembered who this guy Ryujin was, the flaws in that performance just now were quite obvious. "Hayato-kun, should I take over?" Ishizu Ishtar also had a serious expression. "If the opponent has the ability to mind read or future sight, perhaps it would be better if I dueled."
Did you two have to do that? Could you two please give me some face? I was just about to say, "Who would believe you're an Esper?", thankfully I didn't.
Hayato, feeling a bit helpless, pushed the Deck that was almost inserted into the Card Slot, letting it fully enter the Duel Disk's Card Slot, triggering the sensor point and activating the Duel Disk's transformation function. Two small Virtual Projection Devices flew out from the Duel Disk.
"Whether you're an Esper or not, if you want to challenge me, hurry up and start. I'm in a hurry."
"Hmph hmph, the King of Games, huh?" Psychic Ryujin didn't immediately activate his Duel Disk. Instead, he put his index and middle fingers together, touching his temples with both hands simultaneously, making a "beep beep beep" sound. Only then did he calmly activate his Duel Disk. "I have seen the future. I have seen the future where you are defeated by me."
"Duel!"

"I'll take the First Turn!" Ryujin was the first to draw a card from his Duel Disk. "I Set two cards, and Attack Position Summon Mental Protector!"
Under the seven-colored light of the Virtual Projection System, a slightly small-looking machine monster appeared on Ryujin's Field. However, just like many monsters that look incredibly similar to Dragon-Type but aren't Dragon-Type, this "machine" monster Ryujin Summoned is actually Psychic-Type.

The surrounding people discussed amongst themselves, while Ryujin had a calm expression. "Because of my powerful superpower, my Psychic-Type monster will resonate with it. Even you, the King of Games, cannot Defeat it!"
"I End my Turn."

"So you just Summoned a monster with an Attack Restriction Ability. Is there a need to be so proud?" Hayato remembered the Effect of Mental Protector; it could only restrict the attack of monsters with 2000 or less ATK that are not Psychic-Type.
This Effect only seemed somewhat useful; there were plenty of ways to break through it. Not to mention the simple and brutal method of directly destroying the opponent's monster by effect once and for all, using DNA Surgery to declare Psychic-Type could also bypass the effect.
And Hayato was using a third method.
"My Turn!" Drawing a card and adding it to his Hand, Hayato played a card from his Hand. "Normal Summon Noble Knight Artorigus!"
The noble knight wielding a sharp sword appeared on Hayato's Field. However, just a few seconds after appearing, he was suddenly suppressed by a light green film.

"As long as Mental Protector exists on the Field, monsters with 2000 or less ATK, except for Psychic-Type, cannot attack." Along with Ryujin's proud voice, the Mental Protector on his Field raised its arms, revealing the two purple gems in its palms. The film just now was what it released.
"Wow, that's really amazing. But aren't you getting a bit too proud too early?" Hayato helplessly played another card. "Targeting Artorigus, I Activate the Equip Spell Card Sword of Dragon's Soul! This card increases the ATK of the equipped Warrior-Type monster by 700 points!"

"The knight destined to become King of Britain has obtained the Divine Sword that Slew the White Dragon Vortigern!" Hayato waved his hand and commanded, "Let the battle begin! Artorigus, attack Mental Protector!"
"Curry Stick without EX!"
