[Energy Threads
Grade: Legendary
Description: Born out of the purest form of energy, these threads are stronger than the hardest metal, lighter than the best silk and thinner than most of the legendary weapon's edge point. Be careful how you use them, for they can be both the last thread of survival or the deadliest weapon you have.
Effects:
-Allows the user to create threads of his chosen energy form without any limitations of size and structure.
-The user can create as many threads as he wants within a range of one mile radius.
Energy Cost: Depends upon the user. Only the initial mana cost is required to create the threads, and once formed they can be sustained for as long as the user has control over them without any further added cost.
Duration of threads: As long as the user has control of them. Once the user lets go of its control, he can command the threads to stay in place for a maximum of 2 hours!]
It was the same threads that I generally use but with the addition of infinite creation, no maintenance cost and self-sustainability for 2 hours.
I won't say it's the best skill that I could have gotten, but it was still better than most.
[Blacksmith
Grade: Legendary
Description: The path of the blacksmith is hard and perilous. The more you move forward, the heavier the steps get. But the farther your brave heart can take you, the more rewards you can get from it. Invest time into this skill, and it shall reward you with the best that is possible.
Effects:
-Allows the user to craft legendary items, weapons and artifacts.
-Everything created by the user will have an enhanced effect, that is dependent on the understanding of the user in the skill as well as the item/weapon/artifact he is creating.
-The user's understanding of an artifact increases, the status window will now show additional information hidden within a weapon.
-Higher Chance of awakening a weapon while in creation.
Creation Success rate:
-Legendary Item/Weapon/Artifact: 25%
-Unique Item/Weapon/Artifact: 35%
-Epic Item/Weapon/Artifact: 50%
-Rare Item/Weapon/Artifact: 80%
-Uncommon and Common Item/Weapon/Artifact: 100%
Repair Success rate:(+20% if the weapon was created by the user)
-Legendary Item/Weapon/Artifact: 70%
-Unique Item/Weapon/Artifact: 95%
-Epic/Rare/Uncommon/Common Item/Weapon/Artifact: 100%]
Oooh! Noice!
While it may not be a combat based skill, it was really a good one. I mean, I could have gotten [Blacksmith] once again if I tried and even reached [Rare] rank of the skill, but having the [Legendary] rank meant that I had more options with the weapons, artifacts etc.
I can now lure players in even more by letting them sneak peak in a few legendary weapons, which will boost my sales plus also let them be dependent upon me.
Plus it won't be bad to have some legendary items on me at times given how stupidly irrational this world is with its setting.
The next was probably the least useful skill that I could have gotten. After [Haggling] that is.
[Mana Breathing
Grade: Legendary
Description: Since Ancient times, there were barely a few methods to increase the amount of mana in one's body. But a few geniuses gave their all and ended up creating one of the best skills that was known to mankind!
Effects:
-Allows the user to take in mana passively at the rate of 1% per minute
-The user can save an additional 100% of the mana within his body, allowing him to use it in case of emergency!
-For every mana channels that the user's body has, the user can increase the powers of his spell by 100%]
It may seem useful at a glance that you can get 1% of the total mana returned within the body, meaning 1000 out of 100,000 per minute, plus that more mana channels meaning more powerful spells. And the addition of 100% mana means twice as much mana reserve.
But!
It was useless.
Why?
Three reasons.
One was that I use Energy, or to be honest, all forms of Energies. So Mana, which was used for Mana based skills, is already limiting me. Maybe it's good when I am within the mortal realm but outside of it? It's pretty useless. And with a skill like [Mana Surge], it's use diminishes to none.
Second was the fact that I don't have any mana channels. If you recall properly then I exhausted and damaged all my mana channels within my body after creating the [Heaven's Wheel] so what I have in my body are artificial channels, arrays and runes that I work to increase the overall mana within my body. Which practically makes this enhancement useless for me.
And yeah, I didn't restore the mana channels even after the race upgrade through the Ascension. Too bad but, it is what it is.
Lastly, the third point and the most important once was that I could recreate the skill easily using an item if I wanted. Like it won't even take a lot of money to pour into the [Chalice of Equilibrium] to create an item that has the same, if not better, effects of this skill.
Perhaps [Haggling] still has uses, much more than this skill at least.
'And the last one. Well, it's somewhere in the middle, I guess?' I pondered over its value as I checked its content.
[Acceleration
Grade: Mythic
Description: There is a limit to how fast you can go. All mortals have this limit and even among the Gods, only a few rare blessed by speed can break it. It is almost a myth that anyone can go beyond what is possible…. Almost…
Effects:
-Increases the Agility of the user by compounding each 1% increment per second the user runs!
-The natural limit of the user's agility has increased by 10%]
That was all that the skill had.
In fact, the skill had much more description, effects, and additional buffs when it was a [Rare] skill. For example, +25 Agility and you get a 100% speed boost every time you run, etc. but all that was changed into these two.
So was it a dud again?
That was debatable.
Short term? It was useless. Especially the second effect of the skill.
Long term? It was probably the most overpowered agility based skill to have. Especially the second effect of the skill.
For the first effect, it is simple. If I run with my agility at 100, then within 1 second it would 101, next second, 102.01 after 1 minute, 183.
After 5 minutes, 2,062.
After 10 minutes, 42543.
I do have to run at my full speed though, but the cumulative effect is awesome.
As for the second effect, it would be better to explain about the natural limit first.
Humans have a stat limit. Players too. Even Demi Gods, Gods and beyond
For Players it's 999 for all stats.
I think for NPCs it's double, that's 1999. Which was also my limit before ascension.
For DemiGods, it should be 4999, while for Gods, it would be 9999.
I don't know about Higher Gods, but from the textbooks and such, I guess it should be 14999, 19999, or 24999. Though I don't think it could be beyond that.
As for my own personal limit… I think I can check it if I try and run, but most probably I would die before I could even reach 1000 simply because my other physical stats can't keep up with me.
Anyways, as we were talking, the second effect of the [Acceleration] skill is kind of broken in a sense because it increases that upper limit by 10%, something that even Gods can't do. So while it is pretty useless in the short term, in the long term it could be one of the best skills that I have right now.
'Two useless skills, one crafting skill, one support skill and a long-term combat skill, huh? I guess things could have gone worse than this,' I pondered before I decided I should be grateful for it.
The only skill that I had regret for was Laplace's unique skill that allowed me to be anywhere anytime using the portals. But since I could only carry 5 skills, I had to debate a long time before giving up on it.
"It's sad but I guess, I just have to find a better replacement for that skill," I pondered as I figured there was no point in crying over spilled milk. What's done is already done, there was nothing more I could do.
It was the only skill that could have been recreated after all. The others, I couldn't compromise with.
Well. That's it for the skills, I suppose? Now… shall we look at the Class Quest?

[LeenaFan01: We are also creating a party here to hunt them down. Though… it's a never ending hunt.]
[IamZero01: Just keep up with it. Or join a few NPCs if you are struggling.]

[LeenaFan01: Okay]
