A message is left unseen, Arjun noticed after the Disha's message.

Oh gosh! How I forgot to reply to Elli's message (Priyanka's nickname). and also, today she is absent in class… in all the celebrations Elli is vanished out from my mind… oh god….! Arjun scratching his hairs. Taped on Elli's message and his eyes opened…

What!? Is this only a dream, NO! it's really a dream. It's not possible that everybody wishes me happy birthday also sang a song only for me or a bloody cake cutting…. NEVER!!!

No one is interested in me… Arjun in a sad mood faces down bowed out hot air..

Suddenly he rushed to his phone and a message is really pending and the message is from game.

Yes! I know everyone can leave me, put me a side, ignore me but, HE! never do tthat ugly thinglike this… Arjun's eyes glows in confidence, stood straight high with a morning attitude, take a long breath…..

Huh! What's that smell? From where?

Arjun moved slowly to the bed and again he is sad… and also his face is red!

"He pee on his bed."

Oh no !..............

After listening a long lecture by his mom and making a fun of him by himself, he gets ready for the school.

AT THE SCHOOL

At school's main gate, arjun is hoping for a partner to the class. But no one is their to join him.

What are you hopping for? It's a normal day not your rebirth in which suddenly you got many popularity as many girls surrounds you and take selfe with you move to class it's getting late. Arjun give a soft slap him and moved..

At class, he entered heads down and trying to hide his presence as everyone distributes some candies on their birthday. Arjun's friend distributed chocolates and Arjun is at class empty handed. He didn't demanded candy to his parents even for a single time.

Arjun sits down and opened his personal diary in which he notes down his daily experiences:--

DATE: my birthday

I'M IN CLASS AND NO ONE NOTICED IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

BECAUSE OF TALKINGS, I DON'T HAVE MEANINGLESS TALKS

LIKE OTHERS.

Arjun is in a deep thinking stage, and all of sudden Max came and sit beside to him , punches him strongly but in a friendly and joking way….

"what's up! Mr. silent." With a laugh Max said.

Firstly Arjun got shocked and also a bit frightened that he seen his diary so first he hides his diary and then replied camly..

"I'm fine but, after that punches not good!"

Oh! So sorry for that, I want to ask that tomorrow you topped in tuition test..

"So what! You can study and also top" arjun said with a attituded full voice.

You were silent better than talking because your even your jokes are….. Max stands up without completing his sentence.

"hey! Wait you remember what's special today is?" said with a extreme hope.

THE FORGOTTEN BIRTHDAY

By: You & ChatGPT

The day moved on. Sunlight streamed through the classroom windows, its warmth touching every desk—except one. Arjun sat still, head slightly lowered, eyes fixed on his open diary like it was his only companion. The ink had dried hours ago. Nothing new had been written since morning.

The classroom buzzed with life. Teachers came and went, chalk scratched across the blackboard, jokes bounced off the walls, but Arjun remained still—like time had paused only for him.

The bell rang for the second period.

"Arjun!" the teacher called out.

He jerked slightly. "Yes, ma'am?"

"Are you alright? You've been quiet since morning."

He forced a weak smile. "I'm fine, ma'am. Just… thinking."

She nodded and turned to the board.

But Arjun wasn't just thinking. He was drowning in it.

"How could they forget… all of them… even Elli."

He glanced at the empty seat in the second row—Elli's seat.

She wasn't here today. No explanation. No message.

Not even a 'Happy Birthday'.

Flashback: One Year Ago

"Arjun! Happy Birthdayyy!" Elli had screamed at 7 AM, calling him while jumping on a video call.

She'd made a paper crown that said "Birthday Hero," and forced him to wear it at school the whole day.

He remembered how she had shouted across the corridor, "Everyone! Today's our silent boy's birthday!"

She'd even brought homemade brownies and made him distribute them with her.

He had smiled more that day than any other.

Present Day

But this year?

Silence.

Only the scratching of pens, murmurs of students, and the deep weight in his chest.

He glanced sideways. Max was cracking jokes with the boys on the last bench. Disha was busy scribbling something while chatting with Riya.

And Arjun?

He hadn't spoken to anyone since morning.

His frnd Max, nudged him. "Oye, Arjun. You didn't bring tiffin today?"

"I did," he replied softly.

"Then eat it, bro! it's Lunch break ."

"I'm not hungry."

Max pulled out a hot dog and offered it. "Take half.."

Arjun looked at it… then at Max. He smiled politely. "Thanks. Maybe later."

But inside, he was starving—not for food, but for something else.

A message. A hug. Even a whisper—'Happy Birthday.'

As he stared out the window, the old tree swayed gently. Its leaves danced in the wind, just like his memories.

Suddenly—thwack!—a paper ball landed on his desk.

He looked up, startled.

Boys on the side bench laughed.

He slowly picked it up. A sudden hope bloomed—what if…

He unfolded the paper.

"Silent boy got hit! LOL 😂"

Laughter echoed in the corner.

He smiled. Bitterly.

He flipped to a new page in his diary and wrote:

"Sometimes, it feels like the world is moving without me.

I'm just… invisible today.

I wonder if I disappeared, would anyone even notice?"

He sighed and closed the diary, letting his fingers rest on its cover like it was the only thing listening to him.

Final Bell – Time to Leave

As the last bell rang, the room burst into movement. Students laughed, bags zipped up, and the race to the exit began.

Arjun, however, stayed seated, watching everyone leave.

Max waved at a girl. Disha laughed at something Riya said. Everyone was moving.

And once again, he felt like he wasn't part of it.

He slowly stood, packed his bag, and was about to leave when he noticed something on his bench.

A small crumpled chit.

He paused.

Picked it up.

Unfolded.

"Sorry I forgot. Happy Birthday, Arjun. – Disha"

He froze.

Just one sentence. No smiley face. No glitter pen. Just a simple, honest note.

But for him, it meant everything.

The Walk Home

The streets were the same as always—crowded, dusty, noisy.

But for Arjun, they felt quieter today. The colors were dull. The usual chaos around him couldn't match the silence inside him.

Maybe next year, he thought. Maybe next year someone will remember.

He walked slowly, dragging his steps. Even the wind that usually felt playful today felt heavy.

Back Home

"Welcome back boy" his mom's voice called from the kitchen.

"Haan maa," he replied, quietly.

She peeked out. " wash your body, want some sweets?"

He nodded and went to his room.

On the table, a covered plate waited.

He lifted it.

A donut.

His favorite.

Still… not a single "Happy Birthday."

She probably forgot too.

He sat down to eat, quietly.

Just as he was about to take a bite, his mom came over and gently placed her hand on his head.

"You must be tired... Eat it, son."

He looked up.

No 'happy birthday.'

But that one touch—soft, warm, full of love—it was enough.

Maybe she remembered.

Or maybe… mothers just know.

Later That Night

Arjun sat on his bed, diary open.

The pages were filled with little moments from the day. Not happy ones. But real ones.

He clicked his pen and wrote:

Today, almost everyone forgot. But that's okay.

Because one day, I'll become someone they'll never forget.

And till then, I'll keep going.

Happy Birthday, Arjun. From me, to me.

He smiled.

A small, soft smile.

And turned off the lights.

As he lay down, he whispered, "Goodnight, Elli. Wherever you are."

This time, he didn't wet the bed.

Meanwhile… Somewhere Else

Elli stared at her phone screen.

A half-written message still blinking:

"Arjun… Happy Birthday. I'm sorry I couldn't come today. Something happened…"

She sighed, deleted the message.

Looked at his last seen.

Then whispered, "I hope someone made you smile today."

She closed her eyes. And sleep
