Chapter 4 - Slips, Stares & Secrets

---

The hallway was silent except for the echo of dripping taps from the distant bathrooms. Kiara, a little embarrassed by the tea stain on her dress, dragged Blick by the wrist.

> "You owe me for this, tea boy," she smirked.

Before he could ask where they were headed, the door creaked open — and in they went.

Only when Blick glanced around at the pink walls and mirror-laden sinks did he stutter,

> "Uhh... Kiara... this is the girls' washroom—"

> "Oops," she giggled, but didn't stop walking. "Nobody's here. Help me wipe this, will you?"

She turned her back and pulled her hair to the side, exposing the smooth curve of her back through her deep-cut dress.

Blick hesitated.

> "Come on, touch it. I don't bite."

He reached out with a napkin, brushing off dust, but accidentally pressed a little harder than he meant to.

> "Aouuchh!" Kiara squealed with a mock-painful gasp, biting her lip and grinning.

"Too rough, huh?"

They both laughed, their reflections smirking back at them in the mirror. But someone else was watching.

Behind a half-open stall door, a shadow stood quietly — a girl holding up her phone, recording... something.

Then a bottle dropped.

CLANG.

Blick spun. "What the hell?"

The girl behind the door bolted out, sandals slapping the tiles. Kiara yelped, "Who was that?"

They rushed to the door — nothing. Empty hallway. Whoever it was, she vanished like steam.

> "Creepy..." Kiara shivered.

As they turned to leave, Blick stepped onto a puddle — and BAM! He slipped, pulling Kiara with him.

She fell right on top of him — hands pressed on his bare chest, her face just inches away.

> "God, you're such a klutz," she whispered, eyes locked.

> "Yeah, well... you're heavy," he whispered back.

She gave him a light punch and chuckled — until footsteps echoed outside.

They scrambled up, fixed their clothes, and casually strolled out like nothing happened... except Blick's wet shirt now clung to him like a second skin, revealing sharp abs.

A group of students stared. Whispers spread like wildfire.

> "Damn, is that the guy from Block C?"

"Look at her! Hot couple vibes."

Kiara blushed, but played it cool. Just then, Danny — tall, ripped, with sunglasses indoors — strode in with confidence and a whiff of expensive cologne.

> "Kiara. Need a drop?"

"No thanks, I'm good," she said, trying not to look awkward.

> "Who's this guy?" Danny asked, eyeing Blick like a bouncer at a club door.

> "A friend," Kiara said quickly.

Danny didn't smile. Blick didn't blink. The air thickened.

Just then, Zayen popped up behind Blick.

> "Come on Romeo, don't melt her dress with your stare."

Kiara giggled.

As they walked away, Kiara turned around twice to sneak glances at Blick. Danny noticed.

In class, the teacher announced:

> "This week — Fresher's Ramp Walk! Girls to pair up with boys. 70% more girls, so boys... you're popular now!"

After class, Blick leaned on a pillar near the stairs when a girl approached — tall, dusky skin, wild curly hair, and... a lot of confidence.

She wore a mini-top that barely obeyed gravity, and baggy jeans that hugged all the right curves.

> "Hey," she said with a wink. "You're Blick, right?"

"Maybe," he smirked.

"I'm Ayesha. I heard you've got the best abs in Block C... I want to win. Be my ramp partner?"

She leaned closer and added,

> "If we win, I might even let you celebrate."

Blick nearly choked on his cold drink. Somewhere, a camera shutter clicked.

Behind a pillar, someone watched — the same girl from the washroom.

She zoomed in on Blick... and smiled.

> "Let the games begin," she whispered.
