"You spent all day yesterday...with a girl," Xenovia says again, taking a break from eating her cereal
"A nun...but yes," I say, taking a bite out of my pancake
"A nun, here?" Irina asks me
"Yeah, I thought it was weird too."
"What is her name?" Xenovia asks me
"She said her name is Asia,"
"Asia...why does that name sound familiar..." Xenovia whispers
"Wait...Asia Argento...the excommunicated nun, HER?"
"What...why was she excommunicated?" I ask her
"She was found colluding with a devil," Xenovia says as I turn to face her
"What..." I whisper as something in my gut tells me that's not the whole story
She felt...different
"We need to see her and put an end to her wickedness."
"Calm down, Xenovia...I met her and I know for a fact that she is not wicked."
"She tricked you," Xenovia spits out angrily
"No...she didn't," I say, much to Xenovia's clear anger
"She's a witch," She retorts
"I am a Magician, Xenovia," I tell her coldly, causing her to flinch
"That's different and you know it..."
"Is it...because if she uses magic, and guess what, so do I," I cut her off
She stares at me, angry and frustrated
"How about we meet her?" Irina interjects
"What?" I ask as Xenovia stares at Irina with anger
"You said that you felt that wasn't like that...so...how about we meet her for ourselves?" She says, and I stare at her for a moment before turning over to look at Xenovia and see her fighting back whatever she wants to say before biting her lips and nodding
"Alright...let's go," I say after a bit as we finish our breakfast and head down to talk to Asia
I knock on her door as we arrive, and she opens up and smiles as she sees me, before frowning as she notices Xenovia and Irina
"Hi Asia...my friends wanted to meet you...don't worry, they are not here to hurt, but...we would really like an explanation as to why you were excommunicated from the church," I tell her as I stop Xenovia from going inside her room
I glare at her as she stares at me
"Sure...come on inside," She says, and I catch the scared look in her eyes
"Asia...I promise...they are not going to hurt you...I won't let them," I tell her, trying to comfort her as she turns to look me in the eyes, and she slowly nods, and I smile at that
"Why are you here?"Xenovia asks bluntly
"I...was excommunicated and...some Fallen Angels approached me,"
I move quickly to stop Xenovia from pulling out Durandal, and Irina stands quiet
"Listen..." I hiss at Xenovia, who glares at me and I glare right back
Asia is covering her fac,e almost like she is expecting to get hit
I force Xenovia back into her seat as I glare at her
"Continue, Asia..."
"I was approached by some Fallen Angels and...they said that they were willing to take care of me, if I agreed to be a healer for them," She explains but one thing remains
"Why were you excommunicated?" I ask her
"I healed a devil..."
"SEE," Xenovia shouts angrily
"Enough," I tell her coldly
"That can't be all..."
"Asia, did you know he was a devil when you healed him?" I ask her as something inside me tells me to ask her that
She shakes her head, confirming that she didn't know as a feeling of calm spreads over me in that moment
I frown as I can tell that my Sacred Gear is acting up and affecting me
"If you did not know...why were you excommunicated?" Irina asks confused
"I don't know...the people at the church just came into my room and told me to leave,"
I sigh heavily at that
"I can't say I am too surprised by that. The church is known for this kind of stuff," I say, rubbing the back of my neck
"What is that supposed to mean? She was excommunicated for good reason," Xenovia says, slightly offended
"She did a good act," I retort
"One good act does absolve her of the crime of healing a devil," She says back
"It seems enough to condemn her," I say after a bit, causing her to flinch back at that as she finally seems to realize what she has been saying
"I am sorry for interrupting your day. Asia...I will let my contact within the church know of your situation and inform her of your whereabouts so this matter can be resolved as soon as possible," I tell her as she gasps in shock
I glare at Xenovia and Irina and tell them to be quiet before I remember something...
"Asia...you mentioned that Fallen Angels contacted you. Would I be correct that they are somewhere in the city?" I ask her
"Y-yes...I was supposed to meet them at the abandoned church. They said that is where they were going to be taking care of me," She explains, and a twisted feeling comes from my gut as I frown at that...
"They have other motives for taking you in," Irina states, as if the Fallen have a very slightly better reputation than the Devils... It's not by much... but still...
"We'll talk about it later. Again, I am sorry, and I will call my contact once I reach my apartment...I promise..." I tell Asia as we start to leave
As we leave, I stay quiet until we reach our room
"We are going to attack, right?" Xenovia asks, and I stop moving as I turn to look at her
"Later...we need to check the abandoned church and try to figure out how many Fallen are inside. As well as to see if they are working alongside anyone. But before that...I need to call Griselda...something else is going on here, and I am going to trust my gut," I tell Irina and Xenovia, who look at each other, but concede at that
Thankfully...
"If there aren't that many...are we going to storm it?" Irina asks seriously, and I think about it deeply
I take a deep breath
"Maybe...I will have to see if I can set up some wards and possibly make those scrolls I wanted to make first. Otherwise...I want to hear what Griselda has to say about it. As I said before...something doesn't seem right about this..." I say
"You said that before...what do you mean by that?" Xenovia asks
"Well...think about it...a nun getting excommunicated by the church for colluding with devils is one thing. But Asia said that she didn't know he was a devil...then after that some Fallen Angels approached her after getting excommunicated and then sent her to this town...a town run by the sister of Lucifer and the Sister of Sitri...and now we came here following a lead about one of the Excaliburs...don't you think that is a bit suspicious," I explain my thoughts on the situation
They blink several times as they start to realize the same thing I did
