Chapter 16 - Good man

A fist the size of a wagon slammed into the ground, tearing it apart. Scattering chunks of it in all directions.

Dodging at the last moment, Morvian felt a gust of wind on his cheek that managed to cut his skin a little. However, he didn't stop trying to dodge.

'Just one blow like that and I'm a dead man!'

Despite the power of the blows, the giant was quite slow and the golden-haired girl kept dodging.

Their fight was more like the dance of a man and an insect trying to avoid his feet.

A terrifying roar deafened the guy and the shadow of a fist loomed over him, but he still managed to recoil at the last moment.

Heavy breathing began to accompany Morvian's movements and a fiery heat appeared in his lungs.

Each new evasion made Morvian's limbs feel like lead as another blow loomed over his life.

A resounding whoosh cut the air along with the blade of the hook flying over the golden-haired girl's head.

Morvian swallowed nervously as he saw the giant retrieve his weapon and twirl it in the air.

A stream of wind moved away from the deathmill, causing the grass to part to the sides.

The giant, however, watched the weak girl with a hideous smile as she stared back.

There was an equally frightening smile on her face, while her eyes remained as calm as ice.

The mana device was a dozen meters behind the huge creature.

However, Morvian could no longer dodge so abruptly. After all, his breathing had long since hit a snag, and his already pale face had become like snow.

'We have to take the risk... or die right here.'

Morvian had no more time to think, for the giant had already begun his attack.

A new whistle along with the blade carried straight at the slave girl, but she threw herself forward at the last moment, avoiding the blow.

Shards of earth rose into the air and several managed to slice through the back of the fleeing man.

Morvian blackened at his heart, writhing in pain but continuing to run.

The blade of the knife in his hand gleamed in the light of the moon mixed with fire, cutting through the rope of the hook.

In one easy motion, Morvian stripped his opponent of his weapon, continuing to run across the wet ground. Gasping from overexertion and the pain in his back, but continuing to try to survive.

For a moment, the stunned monster hesitated to react, and Morvian was able to slip under its feet.

The image of the metal box powering this healthy creature froze in its golden eyes.

However, visual contact with the target was blocked by the giant's greenish hand, which grabbed the girl.

In the same second, a tremendous pressure descended upon Morvian's body with the desire to crush it.

The crunching of bones with incredible pain set Morvian's mind on fire and he did the only thing he needed to do.

Two deafening shots drowned out the rumble of the rain and the monster's cackling as the creature's fingers shattered into pieces.

Two jets of shot fire and shards of flesh shot out of the creature's arm, opening a passageway for Morvian.

He instantly jumped out of the hideous cage, blackened with muddy blood and bits of bone from the giant's fingers.

As he landed, Morvian slid across the wet grass, half-turning and plunging his knife into the creature's single eye.

The giant's roar drowned out the howls of lightning, and Morvian raced toward his target.

Blind in both eyes, the giant began to rage, destroying everything around him.

He could only muffledly feel the ground beneath his fists exploding and shuddering with every step he took.

He could muffledly hear burning wood cracking and houses collapsing, creating even more noise. All the while lightning bolts ogled him.

However, in all this cacophony of horror, another sound appeared.

A buzzing sound.

The next moment a burning sensation appeared on the monster's skin, and after another it was joined by the unbearable pain of tearing flesh.

Two deafening explosions destroyed the monster's body, scattering its remains all over the village.

A quiet hum came from the remains of the giant's face, creating an unpleasant sensation.

The monster was dying, and though he was originally a dead man, he felt emptiness and pain.

Loneliness had descended upon his sinful soul, but the hand of a kind man could help him out of this pit.

Goodness Morvian was already about to help him.

"Shut up already."

The boot came down with force on the remains of his face, crushing it so that the creature could no longer make a sound.
