Marvin Mitchell had somehow appeared in the office, and his words hit like a bolt of lightning. Everyone, except Crystal Foster, wore expressions of shock.
"What did you say?" Zoe Walker was stunned, seemingly in disbelief.
"How could she possibly be your sister? I get it, you're just saying that to cover up your real relationship!" Zoe insisted, convinced that Marvin and Sylvia Byrne, who was known to be Martin Riley's wife, were deceiving her.
"We may not be related by blood, but that doesn't mean she can't be my sister," Marvin replied coldly, fixing his gaze on Zoe. "As for you, you're fired."
Zoe turned pale, her steps faltering as she looked from Crystal to Marvin, her demeanor shifting to one of humility.
"Marvin, I was wrong. I promise it won't happen again. Please, don't fire me."
