The supervillain list.
This list consisted of the most notorious and dangerous villains on the planet.
There were a total of a thousand names on it, and not all villains had the privilege of having their names on the list.
So if you had your name on the list then you must have killed at least a single superhero.
So as you can imagine they were quite the notorious bunch…
Today underneath a bunker at the outskirts of the city, some members of the top rankers were gathered, seating around a round conference table.
They had been having meetings like this for the past month.
They had been carefully planning and orchestrating a plan, one they dubbed code X.
Code X was a protocol they were planning to put in place for villains worldwide...
You see, villains strictly speaking outnumbered superheroes in both sheer quantity and quality.
The only reason the heroes always won against them was because of how disorganized and scattered they were as a whole.
They had no structure or organization in place, as all villains fought for their interests, they never trusted each other.
But very soon that was going to change, all because of code X.
This protocol would unite villains worldwide into a single body, organizing them toward a single cause.
The fall of all superheroes!
They were practically planning to wage war, but only they were sure they were going to win!
Suddenly the hall doors burst open as a shadowy figure rushed in…
"I just got news! Warp is planning on leaking code X!" the figure hurriedly informed.
The figures seated gasped, as a chilling Killing intent seeped into the atmosphere.
The shadowy figure shivered, the villains seated in this room were cream of the crop.
These guys were notorious even among villains, they were as follows.
No.1- Rebel (kill count-189)
No.2- Brain buster (kill count-186)
No.4- Void (kill count-179)
No.5- Reaper (kill count-145)
No.6- Oblivion (kill count-121)
No.7- Mind Bender (kill count- 89)
No.8- Blink (kill count-84)
No.9- Volt (kill count- 77)
No.10- Crumble (kill count- 72)
No.12- X (kill count- 69)
"Has that bastard gone mad?" Rebel fists banged the table, exclaiming in anger.
His marred face contorted in fury.
He knew very well that the moment code X was exposed to the world while still premature, that was the moment their plan would fall into shambles.
They were still in the recruiting phase!
Not even all the top rankers had heeded their calls yet, and they still needed to win the favor of No.0.
In short, they still had a lot to do, and if the heroes got a wiff of their plans before it was mature…
They would all be as good as dead!
His entire body brimmed with killing intent, No they couldn't let this happen.
They had to silence the bastard before anything went wrong!
No matter the means!
Glancing at his colleagues, they all seemed to have come to the same conclusion as they all nodded resolutely.
"But sir it seems he has also put in a request to meet with The Aegis Nine." The shadowy figure voiced once more.

Rebel's steel chair crumbled into dust, as a deadly aura gushed out from his figure devouring the very essence of air around him.
"We move at once, all top members with me." Rebel barked out orders not wasting any more time.
"Today we kill all who stand in our way, we are not leaving without his head!"
The other nine seated figures stood radiating vicious auras…
As many as they met!
That many they would kill!

A few minutes later…
"Sir the request has been delivered to the headquarters, anytime now The Aegis Nine would be here… but as for the villains I'm not so sure they'll be appearing"
Spark nodded in understanding after all which villain in their right mind would happily arrive at the location where both himself and The Aegis Nine were present?
And very soon he got his answer…
With a scowl on his face, he gazed at the ten looming figures, and muttered beneath his breath "Brother".
Indeed his brother along with other notorious figures approached the complex.
His eyes glinted now he was curious what was this code X?
And why would it lure the vilest of scum out of their hiding?
Rebel who was leading the group landed and he met Sparks gaze…
For a moment hesitation flickered in the depths of his eyes, as he frowned.
It seemed killing warp wasn't going to be as easy as they thought.
Some of his colleagues behind him trembled their conviction faltering on noticing Spark.
Which villain didn't know of Spark?
The one known as the hero of depraved justice!
One could even say the reason why half of them were here was because of him!
Back then when he had just begun taking the world by storm, he only targeted high-ranking villains…
The entire list was reshuffled every week!
All because of him!
Last month among the top ten, No.6 and below had all been taken out, these new rankers could be said to be wet behind the ears.
Facing the one who eradicated their predecessors, they shivered.
Glancing among themselves they began rethinking the whole 'kill all who stand in our way' statement…
Even Reaper a proud bonafide top 5 ranker, normal heroes would tremble at his presence.
He was a man who had slayed 145 heroes.
145!
But just last week he was put in a miserable spot by this bastard.
He was chased for three days and nights relentlessly by this depraved bastard and even when he finally lost him it came at a cost.
His eye twitched as his torso itched, if one were to look beneath his garment one would see a gaping hole squirming slowly.
He didn't know how Spark did it but his super regeneration ability was rendered useless, as his healing factor had slowed to a crawl.
A week had passed but, his injury had barely healed…
"Long time no see lil bro" Void's carefree voice rang out, as he stepped forward.
He was a carbon copy of Spark, except for the black hair and onyx black eyes. He wore a casual wear a type one would put on when going for a stroll, showcasing his carefree personality.
And if one saw his delighted expression, one would really believe he was happy to see his little brother.
A ripple spread faintly in the atmosphere, as Void deployed his domain as it spread consuming Sparks figure.
But Spark just nonchalantly scoffed, and with just a little flex of his aura, the domain shattered.
Spark just shook his head disdainfully "Why even bother?"
Shrugging Void replied, "You can't blame me for trying…"
Seeing so much prey before him, Spark couldn't help but get excited, his eyes began glowing faintly and he licked his lips…
The cravings was back!
"Spark! I swear to God don't push me!" A furious voice barked from the complex.
Raising his hand as if he had been caught "Okay! Okay! Peace bro! You need to chill."
He restrained himself, he'll just have to be patient today.
And at that moment…
Whoosh!
The Aegis Nine had arrived!
