CHAPTER I
One mistake and everything was taken away from me. I, Rose, am writing about my death at this time because I have no reason to live anymore, but it's not that my life has always been like this, my life used to be very happy too, a year ago when I joined the job.
- Rose, you are going to a big country like Japan, I don't know why I am very worried about you.
- Don't worry, Mum, I will call you every 2-2 hours.
- Rose, remember that if Japan is famous for technology, then its scary stories are also very famous.
- Mum, what era are you talking about?
- I am worried, so what do I do, tell me?
- Okay, I promise that I will take care. Don't cry.
After this conversation with Mum, I packed my luggage and left for the airport with my brother and dad.
Arriving at the airport, we settled in to wait for the flight – it was still fifteen minutes out, so my dad and brother stuck around with me. My brother, ever the instigator, started a conversation.
- "Hey Rose, don't go falling for some foreigner over there," he teased. "Oh, wait, my bad, people there are all about work, not love or marriage." (He said this with a playful smirk)
- "Don't even worry about it, you goofball," I shot back. "Just focus on your Sweetie."
- "Sweetie? What's that got to do with anything?"
- "Exactly! What does a foreigner have to do with anything?"
- "Oh, shoot, Rose, I totally forgot you're not into guys! You're all about the girls, aren't you?"
- "Saffron, if you bring this up in front of Dad again, I swear I won't talk to you!" (I said, a little annoyed)
And then, amidst all this, my gaze landed on a man, and suddenly, a vision flashed before my eyes.
As I gazed at the man, a vivid vision flashed before my eyes. I saw him standing up from the bench, taking a step forward to catch his flight. But as he moved, his foot slipped, and he fell to the ground. In that instant, he suffered a heart attack, and his life slipped away. The brutality of the vision shook me to my core. What kind of twisted fate was this? Where was the logic in such a senseless tragedy?
But then, reality seemed to diverge from my vision. The man stood up, began walking towards his flight, and slipped again. However, this time, it wasn't a heart attack that claimed his life. His head hit the ground with a sickening crack, and he lay there, lifeless. The horror of it all left me frozen in fear.
The airport staff rushed to the scene, gathering around the man's lifeless body. As they took him away, a haunting question echoed in my mind: Was this just a bizarre coincidence, or was there something more sinister at play? The uncertainty sent shivers down my spine, leaving me questioning the fabric of reality.
The vision had left me reeling, and the real-life incident only added to my distress. I couldn't shake off the feeling that something inexplicable had just occurred. The man's sudden demise was a harsh reminder of life's fragility. As I stood there, frozen in shock, I couldn't help but wonder: What other secrets lay hidden beneath the surface of our reality?
My dad looked at me, his eyes filled with concern, and said:
- "Rose, be careful."
- "Dad, don't worry, nothing will happen to me; I'm your brave girl." (I said, forcing a smile to hide my nervousness)
- "Rose, I worry about you a lot; please take care of yourself, new country, new people, be careful." His voice was thick with emotion.
- "Dad, I won't be alone there; Jonshi is with me, and she will take care of me."
- "Jonshi is there; that's why we are letting you go. And..." He trailed off, his voice cracking.
My dad suddenly fell silent, his gaze distant, lost in thought. Before I could dwell on it, my flight was announced. I hugged my brother and father tightly, whispered a quick goodbye, and hurried towards the gate, a mix of excitement and trepidation bubbling inside me.
As I stepped onto the flight, a wave of excitement washed over me. I'd harbored a dream of visiting Japan since childhood, and now, it was finally within reach. The thought of exploring this fascinating country filled me with anticipation and joy. I couldn't wait to immerse myself in its vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and rich history.
The prospect of experiencing Japan's unique blend of tradition and modernity thrilled me. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, bursting with excitement and eagerness. Every minute counted, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of impatience, willing the flight to touch down in Japan as soon as possible.
The hours ticked by, and I found myself lost in thoughts of the adventures that awaited me in Japan. I envisioned strolling through Tokyo's bustling streets, sipping matcha in a serene garden, and marveling at the majestic Mount Fuji. The anticipation was almost palpable, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of restlessness, longing to arrive in Japan and start my journey.
To be continue....
