Before this, when Loki suddenly vanished and Heisenberg chased after him…
Tony, in the passenger seat of the Aston Martin, turned to Black Widow with a sympathetic look.
"Your boss ran off!"
"Shut up!" Natasha grumbled.
"I said your boss ran off, you've been abandoned, our plan's useless!"
Tony continued, holding back laughter.
"If I were you, I'd head back to S.H.I.E.L.D. now. Whether they catch you or you surrender, you'll be fine."
"I told you to shut up!!!"
Natasha slammed the butt of her gun into Tony's face, smashing his self-proclaimed handsome nose and drawing blood.
Tony winced, tears welling up.
Before he could recover, a shoe slammed into his stomach.
"Ugh… fuck!"
Tony groaned, then was kicked out of the car.
Fortunately, the car was parked on the roadside, so Tony rolled a few times and got up.
"Ugh…!"
He vomited. Natasha's kick had truly turned his stomach.
As he retched, Tony struggled to look at Natasha in the car. Her dark eyes met his, and she raised a middle finger.
"Fuck you, Tony Stark. I've wanted to say that for a long time!"
Natasha scoffed, then floored the gas pedal. The Aston Martin roared and vanished into the distance.
Watching the car's exhaust, Tony smirked. The damn agent, though seemingly ruthless, hadn't truly killed anyone.
Otherwise, why would she let him go so easily?
And himself…
After vomiting, Tony stood in place, frowning in thought.
He suddenly realized something.
Saving people wasn't Iron Man's exclusive domain. Even as just Tony Stark tonight, he'd saved lives!
So, did he still need to be Iron Man?
He gazed deeply at Central Plaza. The ground nearby was shattered, and many wounded lay around, hurt by the battle's aftermath.
Tony understood.
If he truly wanted to save people, how could Iron Man's efficiency compare to New York City's, or even global, rescue organizations?
If he wanted to save lives, he should establish a larger, more professional, and advanced international rescue organization!
And if he was just enjoying the hero's acclaim…
Was Iron Man himself, or the suit?
Did Tony Stark still lack attention?
No matter the field, he was destined to shine brightest!
Tony made up his mind, determined to change his life.
"I'll create an international rescue organization.
One that can effectively save all victims in disasters!
And I'll help most of New York's victims rebuild their lives!
A rescue company, a construction company—I'll start immediately!"
As he spoke to himself, he glanced at the ruined Central Plaza.
"With Heisenberg around, New York will surely face more disasters…!!!"
Before he finished, the situation changed.
A rainbow-colored light pillar suddenly appeared in Central Plaza, nearly making Tony spit blood.
Was he really that cursed?
Whatever he said came true?
What the hell was this again?!
…
Near the Ehrenburg Restaurant, medics hadn't arrived yet. It had been less than five minutes, and Manhattan's night traffic was too congested for them to move quickly.
But surprisingly, before the medics could mobilize, the Nuke Gang members began emergency aid at Ehrenburg.
On the streets near Ehrenburg, one after another, gang members in sleeveless leather jackets, sporting nose and lip rings, and cursing loudly, were rescuing victims.
"Damn, they dared cause trouble on the boss's turf. The boss will crush them!"
"Definitely. Hey, let's swap stretchers. Your girl's pretty hot!!!"
"Cut it out. Yours isn't bad either, just a shame her leg's broken. Take her to the boss's private hospital."
"Hmph, yours is trash. She's not even wearing underwear—clearly no good."
"Hey, we're saving lives here. Why the chatter? Rich girls are all messed up!"
… These were two gang members carrying stretchers.
Nearby, an old woman, supported by a gang member, walked toward a car. Her husband and child had died in the attack.
Her legs trembled, barely able to move, but she still cried and thanked her helper.
"Thank you. You're Lord Heisenberg's men, right? Thank you so much…"
"Hey, don't thank me, damn it!
I'll take you to the boss's private hospital for a checkup. Hold on tight!"
… This was a gang enforcer who'd never attended school, rescuing mobile victims.
Elsewhere, similar scenes played out. Watching the harmonious rescue efforts, Bullseye, in a black trench coat, smiled happily.
"This is it—exactly what the boss wants. First, we take responsibility, then we seize power and tax revenue!"
He suddenly spotted a familiar face.
He rushed over like a lapdog, grinning awkwardly at a not-very-pretty woman.
"Ms. Potts, my God, what are you doing in this dangerous place?!"
As he spoke, Bullseye waved wildly at his men.
"Damn it, what are you waiting for? Get Ms. Potts out of this disaster zone!
Take her to the boss's…
Cough, to the theater for rest!!!"
Since Billy's two-day "rest," Pepper had become a legend in the Nuke Gang.
No matter how curious the men were about the boss's taste, none dared disrespect Pepper directly.
Thus, Pepper, utterly confused, was escorted to a car.
As she walked, she was baffled.
"I have my own car. Just take me back to Stark Tower. Why the theater?!?"
Hearing this, Bullseye refused. He wouldn't miss any chance to impress the boss!
"Ms. Potts, think about it. Where in New York is safer than the boss's territory? I'm doing this for your safety!"
"But… but… I…?!"
At that moment, the sky darkened. Thick clouds twisted rapidly into a vortex.
At its center, a brilliant rainbow light pillar struck Central Plaza!
Seeing the sky, Bullseye knew something was wrong.
He quickly told Pepper,
"Something's happened, and the boss isn't here. Ms. Potts, please follow the plan. I must handle this emergency!"
Without hesitation, he rushed off, jumping into a car and shouting into the radio,
"All Nuke Alliance members, do you see the situation at Central Plaza?"
…
Hearing the question, Daredevil felt offended…
He tapped his alloy cane irritably and replied,
"We're the Justice Alliance. And though I can't see, I heard you!"
"Hmph, blind man, were you just at Central Plaza?
Watch yourself. Dad's taking Jessica to save you!" Bullseye taunted, flooring the gas pedal.
Hearing Bullseye, Jessica glanced worriedly at the fading rainbow light and replied,
"Shut up, idiot. You're the 'big sister.' Why don't you call yourself 'Mom'?
I'm at the plaza's south side. Daredevil, meet me. Where's Elektra?"
"I'm clearing Manhattan traffic. The medics' ambulances are completely stuck!" Elektra replied hastily.
Just then, Rumlow's voice came through the earpiece.
"Drop everything. The Nuke Alliance assembles. The boss is chasing that alien bastard. This new guy is ours!"
"Got it, Commander!" Bullseye replied.
"Yeah!" Elektra added.
"I'll only follow you for this!" Jessica, whom Rumlow dared not provoke, said.
"We're the damn Justice Alliance!!!"
Daredevil raised his cane, its sharp tip aimed at the rainbow light, and charged!
…
As the Bifröst's light faded, Thor's face was still excited.
But when he saw the scene around him, he froze!
"By Odin, is Midgard at war? Where's Loki?"
He looked around but saw no Loki, only a black-clad, blind man rushing toward him.
"Not bad. Even in battle, someone greets me, the mighty Thor?"
He waved foolishly at Daredevil, who had intended to attack but paused, stunned.
Seeing Thor's non-threatening demeanor, Daredevil hesitated, slowing down and stopping ten meters away.
Before Daredevil could speak, Thor greeted him.
"Hello, Midgardian?
You greet like this, right? Jane taught me."
"Emmmm…"
Daredevil stood silently for a moment, then asked Thor, amused,
"Midgard? You mean Earth?"
"Oh, Earth! My mom just told me. Earthling, have you seen my brother?"
"Huh?!"
Daredevil was even more confused. How could he have seen Thor's mother and brother?
Fortunately, they spoke English, so Daredevil didn't look at Thor's crotch.
He thought, then asked hesitantly,
"Your brother—black hair, mischievous smile, green robe, helmet with silly horns?"
"Pfft, you're spot on! Those are silly horns, definitely my brother!
I like you, hahaha! I'll tell Loki—I'll laugh at him for a thousand years, hahaha!!!"
But as Thor spoke, Daredevil's face turned serious. He tapped his ear, then said into the earpiece,
"The newcomer is the previous attacker's brother. We're in trouble!"
"Fuck!"
"Damn it, I'm on my way!"
"Blind man, don't die!"
"Leave him to me. Don't let him escape!"
Four voices echoed. Daredevil raised his cane, its sharp tip aimed at Thor.
"Unfortunately, your brother caused immense harm to our city. Don't move. We'll handle your brother, then give you a fair trial!"
"What the hell?!"
Daredevil's words left Thor bewildered. After a moment, he understood.
His right hand shook, summoning his armor, cape, and hammer, which began spinning with lightning.
"I see!"
Thor frowned.
"No wonder these human-shaped pits looked familiar. Loki must've been well taken care of. Where is he? Hand him over, and I'll forgive your offense against Asgard's prince!"
"Hmph, offense?"
Hearing Thor, Daredevil smirked.
"He took countless Earth lives, yet this is just an offense to you. Well, we'll offend you properly, sir!!!"
