Damien felt a fire blaze within him.
The strangest part to Damien, though, was that it didn't feel painful;
It felt good.
Damien felt all of the muscles in his body strengthen, becoming more rigid but flexible too. He felt as if his physical capabilities had just been improved in every single way possible.
The change wasn't just physical, it was also mental.
He felt his mind clearing up, and his senses felt sharper. He felt like a seal had just been broken, allowing him to tap into more power from within.
Well, it did just say "The First Seal is broken" after all...
He felt his emotions become more concise, as if his insight into his own mind had also cleared up.
He could understand himself better.
Damien closed his eyes to enjoy the experience.
He hadn't felt this warm and happy for a very long time, probably since his mother went missing all those years ago.
After a while, the blazing sensation slowed and eventually died down.
Damien opened his eyes.
And immediately regretted it.
The first thing he saw was a star, so bright it drowned the space around it. Its light poured outward, consuming everything, until only its blinding presence remained.
Damien raised his elbows over his eyes to block the blinding light.
W-What?! Is that supposed to be the visual representation of my soul core?
So my Soul Sea is the literal universe, and my soul core is the entirety of an actual star?
Damien sighed.
Alright, whatever, I have more pressing matters to deal with...
Suddenly he heard the voice of the Spell again.
[Awakening Aspect Ability...]
[Aspect Ability acquired.]
[Aspect Ability Name: Time Stop.]
Damien suddenly had a big grin on his face.
Time Stop? TIME STOP?
That really just said, time stop..
Damien opened his runes quickly, skipping over everything else.
Out of the corner of his eye, though, he saw a group of runes that spelled out something strange.
Time Fragments?
Oh well, I'll figure that out later.
He eventually found the group of runes that contained his Aspect information and went through them.
Aspect: [Temporal Conduit].
Aspect Rank: Divine.
Aspect Abilities: [Time Stop].
Aspect Ability Description: [You can stop time based on the amount of soul essence you have.]
So my initial prediction was right, I really can stop time!
Apparently, it drains some of my soul essence, but it can't be too bad, right?
Damien audibly laughed at his newfound power.
Damien suddenly heard the voice of the spell once more and immediately knew what it was about.
Well, I guess stopping time is a bit too much, eh?
They gotta balance it somehow, I guess...
