Sylus's eyes had a red glow, directly linked to Eric's.
By the time the ability had fully activated, Eric's pupils had taken the red glow, allowing him to fall under any command state Sylus had given him.
Just from the constant discomfort in his head, he could tell something was wrong.
Instinctively looking away, he shook his head, trying to ward off the feeling.
And then, Sylus spoke.
"Burn."
In an instant, Eric felt a burning sensation stir within him and begin to intensify with each passing moment.
While he did not scream, one could still tell he was in deep pain; his eyes rolled over, and his fingers twitched.
Then suddenly, the pain stopped, and Eric's eyes returned to normal, tears dripping from the sides of his eyes.
If he had endured that pain for a second longer, he was sure he would have died.
Staring at the ceiling for a good amount of time, he wondered, how was he still alive when he was burning from the inside out?
