Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The captive.

King Arnold dragged his captive towards his chamber. Her legs were now free from the ropes to make her walk but her hands and mouth were still binded. He was excited to make her cry even more in his bed. He was bored of his mistresses even though he had many. Whenever a woman catched his eye he made sure to take her until he satisfied his body and mind. But this woman who was whinning with a cloth in her mouth to get rid of him seemed different. He didn't think he was going to get tired of her anytime soon. With a smirk on his face, he moved forward.

He had ordered his servants not to follow him or disturb him for he wanted to have his time with her alone. His smirk grew wider when he came near to his downstairs chamber. To avoid making scene in front of his mother and children or wake them up, he had decided to use his downstairs chamber.

He ordered the guards to ward off anyone who wanted to meet him. The guards steadied themselves to obey the orders of their king. If they saw how their king forcefully dragged an unwilling woman to his chamber, they made no move to show it. This kind of situation was a natural occurance in the palace.

The king entered his chamber, threw the woman on the floor and closed the door. He turned amd smirked at the woman who was crawling backward with as much speed as she could with her tied hands. Amused by ber unwillingness, the king haunched on one knee and grabbed her jaw with his hand.

"Your efforts are futile, beauty. You are mine now whether you like it or not. So now, be a good girl and make your king happy".

He removed the cloth from her mouth.

The woman coughed and shook her head. "You are not my king", she whimpered. Her eyes held a mixture of anger, helplessness and fear.

The king, unaffected by any of it merely laughed. "I am going to be your god after this night". He picked her up in his arms. The woman wriggled and he threw her on the bed. She screamed but couldn't do anything else. The king began to remove his overcoat.

The woman looked at the window.

Seeing her he said, "The moon will now take place of the sun. Though it cannot match the beauty such as yours".

The king now clad only his shirt and trousers climbed up on the bed ready to have her.

He dragged his hands up her legs, making her gown move up to have a look at her smooth legs.

"Wait", the girl said.

The king did not listen and rubbed his palms up and down over her legs.

"Untie me", the woman requested.

King Arnold took his eyes away from her thighs and looked at her face. She looked less afraid now. Her tears too seemed to stop flowing.

"Don't you want to touch my hands too", the girl said.

The king smirked and began to untie her hands. "See, I told you my touch will make you forget everythimg else. All you will want now will be me".

He threw the ropes away and began to lean on top of her. Suddenly, the woman hit his chest with her hands. The king merely budged a little.

"You bitch!" He snarled. Taking both her wrists and capturing them in his hands, he began to bite her neck.

"No!" The woman screamed and wriggled her body beneath him to make him move away. But his hold did not lessen on her even a bit.

Suddenly, she kicked her knees down to his groin. He cursed and his hold lessened.

Taking advantage, she freed her one hand and pushed herself out from beneath his body. She climbed down from the bed but the king tightened his grasp on her other hand preventing her to move further.

"You filthy woman! You must be grateful that I even considered bedding you. But now I will make you see hell on this bed". He began to yank her towards the bed. With her free hand, the woman grabbed a vase from the bedside table and hit it on the king's head. He threw filthy curses and the woman came free from his grasp.

She began running towards the door but before she could reach it she was pulled back again and found herself thrown back on the floor. Her head hit the corner of the bed and she found her vision blacking out.

"You will pay for all this", she heard the king say. With partial vission she tried to look at him. Blood flowed from his head where she hit him. He moved back towards the bed and she found him looking for the ropes.

"Get out of my way if you value your life". The king heard queen Amanda's voice. The next moment the door of his chamber burst open and his wife and Charles stepped in.

"Get out!" The king barked.

Ignoring his words, queen Amanda scanned the scene in front of her. Blood flowing from her husband's hair. A nearly unconcious woman on the floor. Pieces of broken vase. She immediately realised the situation.

When she had reached the king's chamber, the guards had informed her that he did not come to the chamber yet. She was about to go back to the kids and wait for the king to summon her when she saw Charles running towards her. He frantically explained everything that happened in the forest and then they bagan to search every place the king could take his captive. Finally, they found him in this downstairs chamber. And in this situation.

She was about to run towards her husband to examine his wound when she heard the woman speak. "I won't let you tie me again. I won't let you harm me. The moon hasn't come out yet". She looked towards the window. The next moment, she reached for a large piece of broken vase and pointed it towards her heart.

"Wait", queen Amanda shouted and the woman's hand stopped. "We can help you".

"Like hell you will!" The king barked at the queen and began to stride towards the woman. The woman saw him and plunged the broken piece through her chest.

"No!" Queen Amanda screamed.

Charles ran towards the woman and tried to drag the piece out. The woman wouldn't lessen her hold. She looked at queen Amanda for a moment and then the queen found her eyes still. Unmoving.

"She's dead". Charles announced.

The queen dragged her tearful gaze towards her husband. This was the first time she had seen someone end their life with their own hands. And that too, because of her husband.

"You will never change". Queen Amanda's voice shook. She cried, her hands shaking.

The king, unaffected by everything happened said, "Come on, my love. We have a romantic dinner ahead. Let me mend this and then we can have our time alone". He pointed towards his bleeding head.

"You are unbelieveable", the queen sobbed. "Someone died because of you and you value nothing but a romantic night".

"You can never make me happy". The king said disgustingly. "I am going to spend the night with Jane".

Before the king could go out towards his mistress's chamber, he heard Charles's fearful voice.

"Your Majesties, please look here".

They both went towards him. What they saw made their eyes widened. The king cursed and the queen couldn't get a word out from her mouth. She was captured so strongly by her fear.

There, on the dead woman's wrist, was a symbol carved that indicated she was a creature, the queen was terrified of since she had heard about them. It was the reason she had said the moon hasn't come out yet. For if it had, she would've used her powers to save herself.

She was a witch.
