Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: System Reward

Tyler was seated in the dining area, enjoying breakfast. He had received the withdrawal, as David had sent him a text to inform him.

At first, David was concerned and asked Tyler if he had withdrawn part of the initial deposit, but Tyler said no—leaving him shocked.

He found it extremely hard to believe that Tyler, a sixteen years old kid with no experience in trading, made more than $4k+ on his first day of trading.

Like how did he do it? What trading strategy did he use and where did he get it from? He had so many questions but Tyler wasn't willing to answer.

Tyler smiled, remembering how shocked David had been when he told him the money was profit. David had even called later to confirm if it was true. Tyler didn't let himself get barraged with questions—he simply said he'd been lucky.

As for how David got to know about the money in the first place. It was because it was his phone number that was used for the bank account creation.

This means that David will always be the one to be receiving alerts every time Tyler makes a transaction with the account.

As for Tyler, this was one of the inconveniences he has to deal with. It can't be helped.

"It won't matter anyway. It's not like I'll be making withdrawals daily—just every three to four days," he said to himself.

Due to the risk of triggering red flags, Tyler won't be making withdrawals from his trading account every day.

Just like generating huge gains on a new account, withdrawing $3,000 to $10,000+ daily can easily be flagged as potential money laundering, front-running, or fraud.

Even Tyler's current $4,100 withdrawal could raise eyebrows if repeated too frequently without a clear explanation.

To stay under the radar, he decided to space out his withdrawals—every three to four days. And he won't withdraw the same amount every time.

Remembering the annoying restrictions and limitations, Tyler felt his mood sink and sighed heavily.

He decided to turn his attention to other things, calling up his status screen.

But instead of his status screen popping up, something else did.

"Eh??" Tyler froze. Even he wasn't ready for how shocked he felt.

Was that even possible? Just when he thought he'd gotten used to everything related to his regression and the system… turns out he was wrong. Terribly wrong.

With a deep breath and a slow exhale, Tyler regained his composure. He slowly started reading through the notification again, and making sure to understand every bit of it.

What caught his attention and made him slightly lose his composure was the part that says Earth Comparison Scale and the System Standard Comparison. And also the part that says that VaultX was approaching early Type-II infrastructure.

Even though Tyler was mostly focused on the finances in his past life, he did a science in high school and understand what everything means.

The Earth Comparison Scale was self explanatory. VaultX exceeds its counterparts—which are the HTF bots used by huge firms—by 500%.

This was to be expected. Tyler would had actually felt disappointed in himself if the evaluation was less than that.

As for the evaluation from the System Standard Comparison, it made Tyler feel very proud of himself.

Even though he had created VaultX using highly advanced knowledges, it still didn't take away the joy of one's creation being given such a high evaluation.

Especially for Tyler, since it was his first time dabbling in anything tech-related, it felt like a huge achievement.

But what left him stumped was the part about VaultX and it approaching early Type-II infrastructure.

"Does it mean civilisation classification? Like the Kardashev Scale?" He muttered to himself.

Tyler thought about it and felt that it was the only the system could be talking about.

One might argue that Tyler was wrong, expecting the system to use a different classification method. But Tyler had already learned that while the system used familiar naming conventions, nothing about it was truly normal.

This means that it was definitely referring to civilisation classification.

Realising this, Tyler immediately picked up his phone, went to his browser, and typed in "Earth civilization Kardashev Scale" into the search bar.

The top results were from Wikipedia, a few obscure science blogs. One article by physicist Michio Kaku estimated humanity was around Type 0.72.

"So far off from Type I... Let alone Type II," Tyler muttered, leaning back.

Of course, Tyler knew that what he could create with the Specialised Knowledges was beyond Earth's current level of technological advancement, but he hadn't expected it to surpass Earth by two full levels.

"Wow... This is huge," Tyler exhaled slowly.

Though that was shocking enough. The biggest takeaway for Tyler was the System Points reward.

It could be said that the system was being very generous with its rewarding mechanism, because no matter how one looks at it, 2,500 System Points was huge.

It was an equivalent of $25M. And not just that, it was enough for him to unlock twelve Primary knowledge branch, and he will still have 100 System Points left.

Tyler could also unlock a Specialised Knowledge with it. Or even two if he's lucky—though he doubts it's possible. And he had no plan to unlock just one Specialised Knowledge.

"I now have 2,500 System Points. Still need 37,700 more to unlock a Primary knowledge branch and to purchase all the Specialised Knowledges under it," he smiled to himself.

He will still a lot of money to exchange for that huge amount of System Points—$377M to be exact—but he wasn't disheartened.

Also, he was now aware that he can receive reward for creating things using the knowledges from the system store.

And from the way he saw it, he can receive even better rewards in the future.

As for the information on Tyler's status screen, nothing had changed since day one. Beside the daily increase of his free Stat Points and the reward of 2,500 System Points he just received from the system there was nothing new.

Tyler turned his attention back to his food and continued eating, relishing it. The system's reward did a good job uplifting his spirit.

Though he still had to worry about the annoying restrictions and the fact that each second he hadn't started researching a cure for the illness was a second wasted, he was doing his best to stay focused and move forward one step at a time.

"I guess I will go shopping after I'm done eating. And maybe it's time to start sketching out the real AI project," he said to himself.
