Chapter 239 - Chapter 239: Red and Black Bar

In the second half, AC Milan continued with the same lineup.

Ancelotti didn't make any substitutions—But he was about to.

PSV Eindhoven had gone full red-hot rage mode, repeatedly targeting Suker with reckless fouls.

BANG!!

Suker was brutally tackled by PSV's striker Van Seling, who went for both man and ball.

"You little punk! You like to dribble, huh? Come on! Let's see how I break your damn legs!"

Suker hit the ground hard, while Van Seling stood over him hurling insults.

Suke got up silently. The referee awarded AC Milan a free kick from the foul location.

Pirlo walked over to take the kick.

"Let me take it,"Suker said directly to Pirlo.

Pirlo blinked, then nodded.

It was a free kick deep in their own half—not much threat to goal.

The referee had completed the call, with no further warnings or cards.

Van Seling stood near the ball, blocking a quick free kick.

Suker suddenly ran at the ball—BANG!!!He blasted the ball straight into Van Seling's stomach.

Van Seling instantly doubled over, clutching his gut.

Suker didn't hold grudges—he retaliated right then and there.

"You bastard! You little punk!"

Van Seling snapped, charging forward and shoving Suker to the ground.

Suker got up and went forehead-to-forehead with him.

"What, you suck at dribbling so you want to stop everyone else from doing it? You're a complete loser!"

He kept taunting him.

Before, Suker used to avoid confrontations whenever possible. But after joining AC Milan—he didn't back down.

When it came to fights—SMACK!!

Van Seling got slapped hard.

Suker looked over, stunned.

Nesta had rushed over and smacked Van Seling down with a fierce backhand.

"Damn!!"Suker gasped instinctively.

Hope this doesn't turn into a full-on brawl!

He sprang into action—helping Maldini drag Nesta away.

At the same time, he covered Gattuso's mouth and pulled back Kaka, who was charging in to stir things up.

A major scuffle broke out between both sides.

In the end, the referee handed out yellow cards to both Suker and Van Seling.

Suker was then subbed off in the 55th minute.

"I should've pulled you earlier!"Ancelotti said.

Nesta, who came to defend Suker, also got a yellow—a risk for a center-back.

Still, with Milan in control, they weren't too worried.

At the 77th minute, PSV scored a consolation goal.

But in the 86th minute, Kaka assisted Shevchenko for his fourth goal of the night.

Final score: AC Milan 6–1 PSV Eindhoven.

After the match, AC Milan left Eindhoven immediately.

Ancelotti wasn't about to hang around after slaughtering the home team.

When the plane landed in Milan, only then did Ancelotti breathe a sigh of relief.

For the AC Milan squad, this crushing victory supercharged team morale.

"The Philips Massacre!""PSV Slaughtered at Home!""Massacre Mastermind: Suker!""Rampaging AC Milan!""Rossoneri Unleash Unstoppable Attack!""Shevchenko's Quadruple Returns with a Bang!"

All of Europe was abuzz with the game.

It was the first blowout of this Champions League season—and on the road no less.

Last season, Manchester United had beaten Fenerbahçe 6–2 at home, but this season, Milan did it in Eindhoven. It was simply brutal.

Italian media and football circles were ecstatic about Milan's red-hot form.

AC Milan was already a powerhouse—but now, with Suke's explosive rise, their attack had hit another level.

In this match, Shevchenko and Suke were the undisputed stars.

In a post-match interview, Shevchenko said:

"I'm happy to have scored so many goals tonight, but if you watched the match closely, you'd see the best player was our youngest."

Shevchenko smiled and added:

"Suker's emergence has given Milan's attack a new vitality—he's created so many more chances for me."

With Shevchenko's glowing praise, Suker once again became the center of European attention.

At the same time, the results of the Golden Boy Award were announced.

Suker beat out Messi, Podolski, Rooney, and other prodigies to win the award.

However, he didn't attend the ceremony. The trophy would be delivered to Milan's training base.

But soon enough, discussion of Suker was overtaken by something bigger.

From Brazil, Ronaldinho swept both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year, making him the undisputed king of world football.

In the past, these two awards were usually split between different players. This time, Ronaldinho won both—his stardom unmatched.

Even with Suker's recent brilliance, he couldn't make waves under the shadow of Ronaldinho.

Shevchenko missed out, which was unfortunate. But he did receive the Golden Foot as a form of recognition.

Still, Shevchenko didn't care too much.

He felt he had entered another peak of his career—maybe even a grander one.

This season, he was aiming to reach the top of Europe with AC Milan.

Thoughts of transferring? Not even on his mind.

"Milan is this good right now—why leave?"

"Good morning, Suker!""Good morning, Andriy!"

Shevchenko greeted Suker.

"Wanna go shopping during the break?"

Before Suker could respond, Kaka chimed in:

"Andriy has great taste—he's really good at styling people."

Shevchenko was a fashion-forward kind of guy.Under his guidance, Kaka also started showing his fashion sense.

Of course, Kaka had the looks to pull it off.

Shevchenko, a true fan of good looks, got along well with Kaka purely because of his appearance.

As for Suker—he wasn't ugly, but "handsome" wasn't the word either.

His baby face made him look way too young.

Though almost 20 and nearly 180 cm tall, Suker still looked like a kid.

Previously, Shevchenko hadn't paid much attention to him.

But after Suker kept playing well—especially setting Shevchenko up so often—he suddenly found Suker more and more pleasant to look at.

"The captain said he's taking me to a bar tonight."

"Paolo?" Shevchenko blinked. "To Bob's bar?"

"I don't know," Suker shrugged.

Kaka, clearly envious, said:

"Already? That fast?"

"What's so special about it?" Suker asked.

Shevchenko explained:

"It's a private club-style bar. Only real Rossoneri get invited. It's strictly for insiders."

"It's called Rossoneri Bar and is in Milan's District 1—the old city center. It's got over 80 years of history and a special place in the hearts of Milan fans," Kaka added."Every Milan captain receives their armband there—it's the only way to be fully accepted by the fans."

Suke gawked.

What is this, some kind of secret society?!

"I went two years ago," Shevchenko said, pointing at Kaka."He still hasn't gone!"

Kaka looked at Suker, jealousy in his eyes.

"You're really lucky."

But it wasn't just luck—it meant the fans accepted him.

Suker didn't know why Milan fans liked him so much. He'd hardly interacted with them.

Maybe it was his performance—but beyond that, he had no clue.

Still, with Maldini personally inviting him to such a special place, he wasn't about to say no.

After training, Maldini came to find him.

"Ready?"

Suker, now in a clean training kit, nodded.

"Yeah!"

The two left the locker room.Maldini drove. Suker sat shotgun.

As a true Milan native, Maldini didn't need GPS.

(Not that GPS was useful yet anyway, but still—road knowledge mattered.)

"The Rossoneri Bar isn't exactly a profitable venture," Maldini explained."When it was about to go under, the club bought it. It's always been a gathering place for Milan fans.""Now it's run by Bob's family."

"That's why Bob has such a unique standing among Milan supporters," Maldini smiled."His nickname is 'The Bartender.' If you call him that, he'll love you."

"Every true Milan insider has had a drink there."

Suker said:

"There's a rumor that Milan captains get officially 'knighted' there."

Maldini grinned.

"That's just folklore. Captains are chosen by a tactical meeting vote."

"Then why did they invite me?"

Suker was puzzled.

Kaka had been with the team longer!

Maldini smiled:

"Because of your conversation at the training ground entrance. They saw you trying to connect—those guys go by gut feeling. And their gut says you're a good one."

Suker realized:

"So... Kaka's too standoffish?"

Maldini just chuckled and said nothing.
