Chapter 27 - DOUBLE AGENT

Alexander's POV

My plan was going to be a tricky one. One I knew Olivia would never see coming and she would hate me even more when she realized what I did. But I was willing to do anything to make her marry me. I had just twenty four hours to execute my plan properly, and it did get me sweaty. Olivia was the only person that got me nervous. Ever.

It was her fault that I felt the strong urge to marry her. She was wealthy, independent, sexy, and I had a weird feeling while I was around her. There was just something unique about her that I did not feel with other women. I was determined to understand what she did to me, and why she made me feel different anytime I was around her. The only way that it seemed that I was going to understand her better was to marry her; or at least that was how I wanted to get to understand the feelings that I had with her.

Another reason I could not let go of her is that I hated Ryan. I had tried to ignore the fact that Olivia was in love with that douchebag, but I could not ignore the feeling of disgust any longer. I and Ryan had unfinished business from years ago, and I wanted it to stay unfinished, even though I had a strong feeling that it was only a matter of time before I would have to face him. Ryan was a maniac, and I wondered how he was able to convince Olivia that he loved her. I could not tell her the kind of man Ryan was because she would not believe me. She believed that I was the worst person anyone could ever meet, and since it gave me a sense of power, I never tried to prove her wrong. But I could bet that deep down, she felt good around me. There was a good way I made her feel that even Ryan did not make her feel. Even though I was not in love with her, having her was better than having Ryan. At least I was genuine with her; I did not love her, but I wanted her. I was sure that Ryan lied about wanting her. That man was full of hatred, more than anyone could ever understand.

I took her from the airport to my house. When we arrived, I could see that she was blown away by the design of my mansion even though she tried to keep a straight face.

When we got into the mansion, her struggle to not be amazed got me amused.

"So is your game plan to win me over with your big mansion?", she said.

My mansion was not even part of the game plan. I had more in store for her, but if a mansion was already doing the job, then I am happy about that. A win is a win.

"Well I would not say this is the main part of my plan, but if this is enough to woo you, I would like that. The mansion has different rooms for different purposes. There's a study where the owner, which is me, can work, a living room for relaxation, and a dining room for eating. The private rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The mansion also has advanced security systems and secret passages, making it a safe and private place for me to live and work", I said, describing the mansion.

Another effect Olivia had on me was that she made me smile, even though I tried my best not to. I had no idea what she had on me, but she definitely had something on me. This wasn't the first time I had seen her; from the times I was invited to family dinners where I watched her from across the table, I had long noticed that there was something about her that made me feel different. But I had stayed away from her because I knew she was not like other women until I was forced to marry her.

It was totally settled. I was going to make her mine, even though she was probably going to hate me for doing what I intended to do.

"That didn't woo me", she said bluntly.

"Oh really?", I said, my gaze locking into hers.

But she looked away and requested for her dressing room. Damn, this girl was also great at rejecting me even though we could both tell that we wanted each other, and it made me want to have her even more.

"We should eat first. Aren't you hungry?", I asked.

My question summoned an answer from her belly before she could answer with her lips.

"Uhm yes, it seems I have no choice since my stomach has answered", I said.

We walked over to the dining table, and I pulled a seat for her to sit down.

"Did my parents set you up for this? Did they see the live video of you messing up, and perhaps told your father about it? Because you're not a gentleman, and this act doesn't suit you", she said.

Olivia with her very many questions, and her bitchy attitude. I wanted to hold her by the neck this moment, and shut her up with a long kiss.

"I think if you asked fewer questions, we would get along better", I said instead.

"I haven't asked many questions today. You just hate speaking to me, so it's better that you quit pretending to be kind now", she shot back at me.

I could see the look on her face. She thought this all was a very funny joke. She was trying to annoy me on purpose. I could not wait for my plan to be fully executed, then I would see if she would still have that smirk on her face. I was sure that she would not. In less than twenty four hours, I predicted that she would be crying, but that will not matter because I will have her.

I ignored her, and began eating my food. I was not willing to be rage baited by her. I would surely get back at her soon enough.

I was happy that she said nothing else as we ate quietly.

Then, after I called for Jade. This was the beginning of my plan. Jade was once my mom's personal designer until she started working as a spy for one of my enemies, but she got caught. If there was one thing that was not tolerated in the Mafia world, it was betrayal. I could not understand why she'd chosen to betray me, as I ensured she received a generous pay for her work, and my mom had grown fond of her. But she was stupid and decided to play a double agent, which could have easily endangered my mother's life or even mine if she hadn't gotten caught.

When I caught her, I did not end her life immediately even though I wanted to. Instead, I severely tortured, and I blackmailed her with her family, especially her six year old child. I threatened that I was going to kill her if she did not do exactly as I told her to do. Jade knew me, and knew that no matter how horrendous my threats were, I could do them if I wanted to. So, she spent a few weeks doing dirty work that I wanted her to do, hoping to live, and also make sure that her daughter was not harmed. But the truth was that I had no intention of keeping her alive, I only wanted her to do some things that I would have to bribe other normal people to do like have an orgy with men just to get some free gold from the men, and many more dirty work. I intended to keep her until I found no use for her, then I would kill her.

When I planned out everything that I needed to get Olivia, I realized that I did need Jade to play a certain role. And I also realized that I did not need her after that. She did not know of this, of course. She thought that this was one of the regular dirty works that I sent her to do.

I had told her to be Olivia's fashionista but try to act suspicious as possible, but she should not tell Olivia anything meaningful if she wanted to live.

I was going to end her life later on, and I would lie to Olivia that Jade was working for my worst enemy, and I found out, so I had to end her life. Jade did not know that I was going to end her life that day. If she had not taken me for granted, I would not be planning her death. I pitied her six-year-old child, but Mommy had to die because actions have consequences. At least I did not feel enough anger to end the little girl's life as well.

When Olivia spotted Jade, she turned to look at me in confusion.

"Where is Mia?", she asked.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!

I stared at the table blankly refusing to answer her question.

"Oh it's a question", she said to herself.

Yes, it's a damn stupid question!

"I want to see Mia now", she demanded.

I turned to her deeply annoyed. As much as I hated anyone questioning me, any command that did not come from my father got me even more angry than questions.

"No!", I replied.

"Why? Is it because of what she told me? I was going to talk to you about it anyway to confirm if you really did it, and why you did it, but it seems that I have my answers without even trying to ask", she said.

"I don't care what you think. Mia lied to you and you would not be seeing her for a while", I said.

Mia did lie about some of the things that happened to her. I did kill her parents, but they were for the right reasons. And she made me seem like a bad person, omitting the part where she wanted me to sleep with her so badly, but I refused. Mia was one person whose body I respected because I was not sexually attracted to her, and that was why I made her my personal assistant. But she kept throwing herself at me like a slut, and did many other things which I overlooked. When she explained the story to Olivia, she made me seem like a horrible person. I was horrible, but not to her. It was only a matter of time before Mia would end up like Jade. I could feel it.

"How did she lie?", Olivia asked curiously.

"I won't be telling you all that today. What matters today is the masquerade ball. Mia is unimportant", I said.

"I hope you didn't harm Mia. Do not harm Mia", she said with so much concern.

The thing was that Olivia was too soft hearted. Easily fooled and tricked. That was why she felt so hard in love for a psycho like Ryan. I was going to toughen her up because she definitely thought she was living in some Disney world where everyone that looked nice was actually nice.

"Don't command me. Mia has disrespected me a lot and will face whatever consequence I choose. Now shut up and follow Jade. She will take you to the dressing room to make you look your best," I stated darkly.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see that Jade looked scared. She should be. Because she was going to die. I was going to make sure of it.
