Tsunade, still blindfolded, strode toward Shindai and Jiraiya with a fierce aura, clearly intent on delivering a thrashing.
Even a blind person could tell—Tsunade was in a murderous mood today.
Shindai nearly burst into tears. He was just a Puppet craftsman—whatever clients requested, he obeyed. What did any of this have to do with him?
Tsunade leapt off the ground, causing the surface beneath her feet to crack, then charged straight at Jiraiya with her fist raised.
Jiraiya immediately felt his hair stand on end and dodged in an instant.
Tsunade's punch landed squarely on the puppet, instantly reducing it to pieces as though it were tofu.
Her punch finally slammed into the ground.
[BOOM!]
A massive crater formed on the ground.
Shindai and Jiraiya stared wide-eyed at the hole left behind.
Shindai sucked in a breath through his teeth. If someone got hit like that, wouldn't they be sore for ages?
Jiraiya shouted at Tsunade, scalp tingling, "Hey, you didn't really need to use your super-strength, right?"
Realizing Tsunade had already straightened herself up and turned toward him again, Jiraiya quickly begged, "I-I'm sorry, Tsunade! Calm down! Don't be impulsive!"
Tsunade casually flicked the dust from her right hand and smiled at Jiraiya as she said, "You're not wrong, how could you be? It was my mistake. Back then when you peeked into the women's hot spring, I should've killed you right there instead of just breaking six of your ribs. Today, I intend to correct that mistake!"
Charging at Jiraiya once more, Tsunade came rushing forward. Jiraiya shivered all over, realizing this time she was truly serious. He tore through the tent and tried to escape.
Seeing Tsunade chasing after Jiraiya, Shindai immediately bolted in the opposite direction.
If he didn't run, what awaited him might make being beaten seem lucky.
Jiraiya's legs moved like lightning.
But Tsunade had already leapt into midair. With her left leg bent and the right extended straight, she kicked toward Jiraiya in a flying kick.
"Die!"
Tsunade's foot slammed heavily into Jiraiya's back.
"Pu~"
Jiraiya spat out a mouthful of blood and rolled across the ground like a ball.
He knocked over several tents and trees before finally coming to a stop.
Lying on the ground, bleeding from his mouth, vivid images flashed across Jiraiya's mind.
"Is... is this what they call your life flashing before your eyes?"
Jiraiya whispered weakly, barely breathing.
If only he had another chance... Just one more shot, and he'd definitely make Shindai build a full-scale Puppet replica of Tsunade!
Since he was going to end up getting pounded either way, he might as well go all in!
Standing beside Jiraiya, Tsunade couldn't see his blood because her eyes were still covered with a cloth.
Tsunade's smile never left her face as she spoke to Jiraiya, "Relax, Medical Ninja will arrive soon to treat you. You're not dying today."
Jiraiya struggled to speak, "I... I have something urgent to say... Tsunade..."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow, "Then say it now. After that, I still want to punch you a couple times. Don't worry, I won't use my monstrous strength this time."
Jiraiya laboriously lifted his hand, "That way... that kid Shindai... I saw him run off just now... Hurry, go after him!"
Remembering what happened, Jiraiya became furious again when he thought about how Shindai had said he was forced to make the puppet under pressure from Jiraiya's perverted ways.
Although earlier he'd just teased Shindai a little, did Shindai really have to exaggerate it like that?
And Shindai told him to kiss the puppet—it wasn't like he originally intended to kiss it!
If Shindai hadn't exaggerated like that, maybe his injuries wouldn't be so severe.
Now, after being hit by Tsunade so hard he saw his life flashing before his eyes, was she still going to punch his face again? Jiraiya quickly decided to rat out Shindai again—better to redirect Tsunade's fury toward chasing Shindai.
Following Jiraiya's outstretched finger, Tsunade noticed Shindai running ahead on his short legs, seemingly even faster than Jiraiya himself had moments ago.
Shindai was absolutely terrified now. If that kick Tsunade delivered on Jiraiya landed on him, it wouldn't just hurt—it would determine whether or not he survived.
He needed to find someone to protect him...
But inside Konoha's base camp, Shindai didn't know anyone well-enough. The only possible protector—Minato Namikaze—wasn't even at Konoha's base camp right now.
Crap! That pervert Jiraiya was going to get him killed!
Distracted by Jiraiya's antics, Tsunade's focus successfully shifted toward escaping Shindai.
The commotion here drew the attention of several people, including Kakashi and Obito.
Kakashi and Obito assumed Konoha's base camp had been attacked and rushed outside immediately.
Obito, forgetting all about acting cool, shouted anxiously, "What's going on?! Did Cloud Ninja launch a sneak-attack on our station?!"
As the distant figure approached closer, Obito could clearly see despite wearing sunglasses since it was daytime.
"Is that... Shindai?"
Looking puzzled, Obito watched Shindai sprinting forward, tears streaming down his cheeks along with snot, obviously panicking beyond measure.
Obito called out worriedly, "Shindai! What's wrong with you?!"
Seeing Obito, Shindai didn't care anymore—he ran straight towards him yelling desperately for help, "Obito! Save me! Help me!"
Obito's expression instantly turned serious, suspecting their station must've truly been attacked.
Because he could genuinely sense how terrified Shindai currently felt.
Obito pulled out a kunai and seriously asked, "Shindai, where is the enemy!"
As Obito and Shindai were getting closer, a figure suddenly appeared between them.
Seeing this figure, Shindai's eyes filled with despair while Obito was stunned.
Obito asked in confusion, "Lady Tsunade?"
Tsunade slightly lifted the cloth covering her eyes, turned to look at Obito, and calmly asked, "What? You want to save this brat?"
Obito felt a chill run down his spine. Although Tsunade's tone was calm, Obito felt that if he said 'yes', he'd be in big trouble.
At the same time, Obito suddenly pieced things together and guessed that the Stationed Camp hadn't actually been attacked — Shindai must've crossed Lady Tsunade.
Obito nervously cast his eyes upward, "Ah, Lady Tsunade, I don't know anything. I was just passing by."
Shindai never expected that bumbling idiot Obito to save him anyway.
Trembling with fear, Shindai frantically glanced around, racking his brain for a way out of this nightmare.
Shindai spotted Kakashi not far away and immediately shouted, "Ka..."
Yet before he could even finish calling Kakashi's name, Kakashi had already vanished.
Tsunade turned her head back and sneered, "Scream. Shout. Even if you scream yourself hoarse, no one will come to save you."
At that moment, Tsunade's beautiful face seemed absolutely terrifying to Shindai.
