Shindai sneaked out of the tent and entered a small grove, summoned a Ninja Hawk.
Shindai tied the letter onto the hawk's body anxiously. "Hurry up and deliver this letter back to Sunagakure! If it's late, I'm heading there to die! Go faster!"
If the Ninja Hawk could express emotions, it would definitely be sneering right now.
Heading to die? It was actually hoping Shindai would hurry and get himself killed!
If Shindai dies, I'll be sure to find his corpse and eat a few more chunks of meat...
Hey, since Shindai's about to die anyway, why not just eat him already!
"What are you staring at? Hurry up and go!"
Shindai was nearly losing his mind with anxiety—the stupid Ninja Hawk was still standing there watching him.
From the hawk's gaze, Shindai could tell it was clearly showing disrespect.
The Ninja Hawk glared at Shindai with irritation. Although its tiny eyes glaring or not didn't really make any difference, the attitude had to be made clear.
The Ninja Hawk flapped its wings and took off.
While flying, it suddenly felt like something hadn't been done yet.
Suddenly,
Everything went dark in its vision. Before completely losing consciousness, the Ninja Hawk finally remembered what task it hadn't completed.
Well then, it has arrived.
Minato Namikaze, cradling the unconscious Ninja Hawk, reunited with Jiraiya and Kakashi.
Minato held it extremely carefully—this Ninja Hawk was currently an invaluable treasure; absolutely no mishandling was allowed.
After reuniting, Minato removed the letter from Shindai's possession and handed it directly to Jiraiya without even glancing at it.
Then Minato began skillfully drafting a new letter.
Jiraiya curiously opened Shindai's letter, wanting to see what exactly Shindai had written.
He hadn't read it until now—and hadn't expected to be so shocked.
Jiraiya's blood pressure shot up. His entire face turned bright red, bulging veins appearing on his forehead.
"That damn brat! How dare he say such things about me?! Just wait until I give him a thrashing bad enough to wreck his behind!"
Kakashi and the other three moved closer to Jiraiya out of curiosity, wanting to see what Shindai had written that made Jiraiya so furious.
[Uncle Kaito, that perverted Sannin Jiraiya is truly despicable. Everyone says he's a lecher—I originally thought he only targeted pretty ladies, but turns out he lusts after everyone regardless of age or gender! He asked me to use Sunagakure's proud Puppet techniques to satisfy his perverted fantasies, and even tried to take advantage of me!
Luckily, my wits saved me from becoming his next target, otherwise I'd have completely lost my dignity. But honestly, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep my morals intact.]
"Ha!"
Obito couldn't hold back and let out a loud laugh.
Jiraiya shot a furious glare toward Obito.
Obito coughed once, biting his lip hard to suppress laughter, then let out a forced, stifled chuckle. "Shindai was way out of line! How could he say such things about Master Jiraiya!"
Jiraiya flung the letter at Obito. "Don't laugh too soon. The three of you—and Minato—are mentioned in it too."
Obito picked up the letter and began reading. Instantly, just like Jiraiya, his face flushed bright red with rage.
"What the hell?! Since when do I drool when talking? He's the one with brain rot! His eyes are crooked and mismatched in size! I, Obito Uchiha, am the smartest person in the entire world!"
Kakashi and Rin Nohara also read Shindai's letter, their expressions darkening by the second.
In the letter, Shindai claimed that Kakashi had a crush on Jiraiya, and that Jiraiya wanted to sleep with everyone except Kakashi, causing Kakashi to become jealous. Thus, Kakashi always singled him out, badmouthing him nonstop to Jiraiya, trying to get him eliminated.
The letter also stated that Rin Nohara had her eye on him, stalking him constantly until he found it unbearable—unable to shake her off even after pushing her away.
Both Kakashi and Rin clenched their fists tightly, their breathing gradually growing heavier as their fury skyrocketed.
Minato Namikaze, who had been imitating Shindai's handwriting to write letters, suddenly became very curious about what Shindai had written about him upon seeing Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Obito nearly bursting with rage.
After reading it, Minato immediately regretted doing so.
According to the letter, Minato was accused of being effeminate, dressing himself up as a woman every day, hanging around with female ninja, even sharing toilets and baths with them.
Minato tightened his grip on the brush.
Even such a good-tempered guy like him now wanted nothing more than to rush into the tent and beat Shindai senseless.
In short, every Konoha ninja mentioned in this letter was portrayed as abnormal—except for Shindai himself, who claimed to be perfectly normal.
In the letter, Shindai complained about how agonizing and painful his time here had been, how he was on the verge of losing his mind.
Finally, he wrote that this group of abnormal people would assign four genin—including himself—to wear explosive tags and carry out a suicide attack on Iwagakure, a mission from which he knew he wouldn't return, all in an attempt to convince the Third Kazekage to end his undercover operation.
"If I don't beat him up today, I'll have no right to call myself an Uchiha!"
Furious beyond reason, Obito slammed his fist into the ground before storming toward the tent with vengeance in mind.
Kakashi grabbed Obito's arm, stopping him. "If you confront him now, aren't you just telling him we've read his letter?"
Obito gritted his teeth. "I can't swallow this humiliation!"
Jiraiya's complexion had returned to normal, though the veins on his face still hadn't calmed down.
Jiraiya had regained his composure, though the veins on his face still hadn't settled. "Of course you can't swallow this—but focus on the important matters first. We can deal with that brat after everything settles down!"
Obito, Kakashi, and Rin nodded in unison. "Okay!"
"Achoo! Achoo! Achoo-choo..."
Shindai sneezed several times within the tent.
Rubbing his nose, Shindai muttered with a frown, "It has to be because of that mission—otherwise why would I feel so uneasy? Please let the gods protect me… Wait, no—the god around here is basically the villain. So who do I even pray to now? Whatever works, I guess. Anyone who can help—I'm begging you, just keep me safe!"
Minato Namikaze imitated Shindai's handwriting to write a letter. He handed it to Jiraiya and said, "Teacher Jiraiya, this is the letter I wrote on the Third's orders. Please have a look."
Jiraiya took the letter and began reading.
[Uncle Kaito, the Konoha Sannin—including Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash—have suddenly gathered together, appearing to prepare for an important discussion. Noticing something suspicious, I secretly listened in and uncovered extremely critical intelligence.
Iwagakure plans to provoke Konoha under my false name—but that's just a cover. In truth, Iwagakure has secretly allied with Konoha, intending to lure Sunagakure into cooperating with Iwagakure for an attack on Konoha. Their real goal is to draw you out, then join forces with the Konoha ninja to crush our Sunagakure forces.
The purpose of this plan is to remove any future threats from Iwagakure and Konoha, allowing them to launch a joint assault on Kumogakure.
Uncle Kaito, we must stay extremely cautious. Sunagakure must not fall for this trap. Otherwise, our village will suffer devastating damage!]
