Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Kushina Uzumaki, the Love-Sick Pup

Shindai met the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki—Naruto's mother and Minato Namikaze's wife.

But from their very first meeting, Shindai was left with a terrible impression of Kushina Uzumaki.

After all, who greets someone by punching them square in the head?

Actually, getting punched wasn't that big of a deal—so why didn't Rin Nohara get punched too?

Kushina narrowed her eyes at Shindai's defiant expression and asked, "What, not convinced?"

Obito secretly kicked Shindai's leg and whispered cautiously, "Don't provoke Lady Kushina. She really will hit you."

Shindai stubbornly replied, "I'm just not convinced!"

He pointed at Rin and said, "If you give Rin a punch on the head too, then I'll be convinced!"

Kushina Uzumaki, Rin Nohara, and Obito all stared at Shindai in shock.

Kakashi covered his forehead, clearly already resigned to the situation.

Kushina hesitated briefly before bursting into laughter, clutching her stomach. Meanwhile, Rin's face turned pitch black.

As for Obito...

A classic love-sick pup—not worth mentioning.

In the end, Rin didn't get a lump on the head, but Obito got another one.

Since Obito offered himself up, Kushina was never one to say no to a free swing.

And since Obito volunteered willingly, why not add another?

Even better, Obito actually looked thrilled about it.

Seeing Obito still grinning like an idiot, Shindai and Kakashi simultaneously remarked, "Such an idiot. Beyond help."

Sitting beside Kushina, Rin asked, "Lady Kushina, are you planning to go find Teacher Minato?"

Kushina nodded, wearing a slightly guilty expression, "Yeah, I want to apologize to Minato."

Smelling gossip in the air, Shindai completely forgot about his headache as he curiously asked, "What happened? Did a little couple have a fight?"

Kushina's cheeks immediately flushed red as she protested, "What little couple? We're not even a couple yet! Don't make stuff up, brat!"

She lowered her head again and softly continued, "Earlier when Minato came looking for me, I snapped at him... Not that I meant to. It's just that I was so excited because he promised we'd train together every day while he was in Konoha... Maybe Minato has gotten tired of it."

Shindai snorted slightly, "With Lord Minato being such a hopeless romantic, he probably wishes he could stick with you every single day. How could he possibly get tired of you?"

Kushina suddenly lifted her head, staring intently at Shindai, "Hmm? Go on, tell me more!"

Shindai explained, "Back when I lived together with Lord Minato, and even now living next door to him, every time he leaves the house he wears this dreamy smile. From my room, I can practically smell the sweet stench of young romance. He looks forward to seeing you every single day—why would he ever get tired of you?"

"If you're upset about this and end up punching me in the head, I despise you! I'm not some prop for you two lovebirds to flaunt your affection!"

Shindai stared at Uzumaki Kushina with increasingly resentful eyes.

If he really ended up with a bump on his head because of this, he'd be completely wronged!

Kushina completely ignored Shindai's resentful gaze. Her disappointed expression instantly vanished, and her mouth involuntarily curved upward: "Is that true?"

"False! I was joking!"

Shindai thought Kushina was being too much, actually asking him again whether it was true?

Was she really going to rub salt into the wound like that? She's being utterly unreasonable!

Naturally, Kushina didn't believe Shindai's denial. She had already 'whooshed' to her feet, shouting, "I'm going to find Minato!" before dashing off happily toward the Third Training Ground.

Although Shindai and Kakashi didn't mind what happened, Obito, who was even more of a hopeless romantic than Minato Namikaze himself, couldn't take it.

Judging from Obito's envious and somewhat dazed expression, it was clear he had already cast Rin in Kushina's role while envisioning himself as Minato.

Seeing Obito spacing out, Shindai felt it necessary to bring him back to reality.

Shindai leaned close to Obito's ear and whispered, "You're not Lord Minato, and Rin isn't this fiery Lady Kushina. Wake up."

Obito snapped back to consciousness, clicking his tongue in frustration as he grumbled at Shindai, "What did you go and do that for?"

The fantasy Obito had been having was simply too wonderful—he didn't want to wake up from it at all.

Shindai scoffed disdainfully, "I was afraid you'd keep daydreaming and never snap out of it. Stop daydreaming and come with us to learn something useful instead."

Obito looked puzzled, "Huh? Learn what?"

Shindai explained, "Even though Lord Minato is a hopeless romantic, he's also a master at flirting. He has someone as fiery as Lady Kushina completely under control. If you could pick up even a little of what Lord Minato knows, without needing my help, your chances of winning over Rin would skyrocket!"

"Really? But is our sensei genuinely that good at flirting? I've never seen him talking to any girls before."

Obito tilted his head doubtfully, questioning whether Minato Namikaze was truly such a flirt.

Shindai smirked, "Who are you to question me? Lord Minato used all his flirting skills exclusively on Lady Kushina. Of course you wouldn't know about them!"

Obito eyed Shindai suspiciously up and down, "Wait, wasn't today your first time meeting Lady Kushina? How do you know so much about Sensei's flirting methods?"

Shindai puffed out his chest proudly, "That's because Lord Minato and I are cut from the same cloth—I'm also a secret master of flirting! So... if anyone knows Lord Minato best, it'd definitely be me!"

Kakashi, who had overheard Shindai and Obito's conversation by accident, teased mockingly, "Oh? What about your girlfriend then?"

Shindai snapped angrily, shooting back at Kakashi, "Mind your own business! I'm still young, and I don't feel like chasing girls yet, okay?!"

Shindai impatiently asked Obito, "Are you going or not? Just say one word. If not, I'm heading home!"

Obito immediately replied without hesitation, "I'm going!"

If what Shindai said was true—that Minato Namikaze really was such a master at flirting—and if he could pick up even a little from him so that Rin Nohara would start focusing on him the same way Kushina Uzumaki did, that'd be amazing!

Shindai urged, "Then let's hurry up and go. Earlier, Kushina said at the Third Training Ground that if we're late, we'll miss everything. Who knows, maybe we'll only get to see Minato and Kushina kissing."

Without delay, Obito immediately headed toward the Third Training Ground with Shindai.

Sighing, Rin Nohara followed as well.

Kakashi questioned in confusion, "Rin, are you going too?"

Rin helplessly shrugged her hands, "I have no choice. My flowers and groceries are all still with Obito!"

"Uh… That idiot, Obito."

Kakashi didn't even know what to say anymore. He truly had no patience left for those two guys—Obito and Shindai.

Afterward, Rin rushed after Obito and Shindai, and Kakashi hesitated briefly before following them as well.

Though Kakashi looked indifferent on the outside, deep down he was actually quite curious whether Minato Namikaze really was the flirting expert Shindai made him out to be.
