𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : Gosh, the heck Way!..you reek of alcohol, did you bathe in it or something?!
Without waiting for a reply, Alan pushed past Way into the apartment and froze. Empty bottles littered the floor, half-smashed cans balanced dangerously on the edge of the coffee table, and a sour stench clung to the air like a stubborn ghost.
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : You're chugging down those bottles like you have a death wish. Seriously. Should I start looking up mental rehab centers now?
Way groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
𝙒𝙖𝙮 : Don't start with those annoying lectures again, you're acting like my mom!
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : Oh, I will start,
He snapped, stepping over a crushed can.
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : All this, just because your crush got a boyfriend? Are you kidding me?! I mean- Are you seriously gonna become an alcoholic just because your Crush got himself a lover? Come on man, this is why I had told you long ago to ask him out when he didn't have one.
Way didn't look at him. He stood still, shoulders slumped, head pounding.
𝙒𝙖𝙮 : It's not just a crush, Alan… I've been in love with him for ten years. And Confessing to him? It's not as easy as you think it is.
Alan paused. The fire in his voice dimmed, just a little.
"I know," he muttered, quieter now.
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : I know. But this- [He gestured around the room] This isn't the way. You're not just hurting yourself. You're throwing away your entire life.
Way finally looked up. His eyes were bloodshot, but underneath the haze was the raw edge of helplessnelife
𝙒𝙖𝙮 : Tell me, then. How am I supposed to move on from someone I've loved for a decade?
Alan sighed and dropped onto the couch, pushing a couple of bottles aside with his foot.
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : I'm not saying it's easy. But giving up? Quitting your job? That's just screaming 'I Lost ' to the whole damn world.
He paused and looked at Way dead in the eye.
𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣 : You know what try to get another lover or something but I want you back in the company by tomorrow.
Way had no choice but to agree. He groaned, nodding reluctantly. If he had to, why not go well dressed?
