After Jayvaughn finished explaining his determination to stay in the bidding process and see it through to the end, Lucian looked at him silently for a moment before nodding. "Alright," he said seriously, "If you're that determined, I'll help however I can. We'll do this together."
With their plans laid out and their strategy smoothed over, the atmosphere between them began to relax. But Lucian, unable to let his curiosity go, leaned forward and asked with genuine intrigue, "By the way, how on earth did Axel find all that information? Our military hackers couldn't even scratch the surface of the Eve company, but he managed to uncover everything. Is he really that good?"
Jayvaughn's face instantly shifted, his chest subtly puffing out as pride lit up his expression. "Of course he is," he replied with a tone bordering on smug. "You can't just compare Axel with anyone. There are maybe seven hackers in the world who can barely match him. Barely, Lucian."
