Axel sat in the waiting room, eyes glued to the large mounted screen on the wall as Lyke's performance began. The sound of fans cheering filtered through the monitor, and soon, the members of Lyke walked onto the stage with confidence. Axel leaned forward, his gaze sharpening.
Though he'd inherited the original Axel's memories, this was his first time actually watching Lyke perform. It didn't take long to understand how they had stolen Syren's crown during the group's hiatus. They weren't just good; they were polished, powerful, and magnetic.
Josh in particular shocked Axel. That spoiled brat from earlier had undergone a complete transformation on stage. Gone was the annoying arrogance, replaced by a sultry, captivating energy. Josh performed like he was trying to seduce the entire audience, body moving with a seductive rhythm, eyes sharp and calculating.
Axel blinked, genuinely impressed. "He's good," he muttered.
