I thought about it and felt that I really needed to carefully consider where to use this Skill Point.
First, I needed to carefully analyze my current situation and choose based on my needs. After all, this was related to my Leveling Speed for the next Level. Hmm, the Experience for the next Level... damn it, it was actually 8000. What the hell, no wonder Lars trained for almost 3 years to reach Level 12.
My current situation, the first thing to consider, was self-preservation. In that case, Werewolf Form should be the most suitable. Putting aside the knowledge from the Game, when I thought about the advantages of Werewolf Form, what were they? Speed, Dexterity, and possibly some Life and Attack bonuses. An 8th Level Werewolf Form offered a great advantage whether attacking or escaping. If I learned this Skill, my Safety should greatly increase.
The second thing to consider was Speed, the Speed of Killing Monsters. Speed meant more Experience, more Experience meant faster Leveling, and faster Leveling meant being able to learn more Skills. More Skills, in turn, meant faster Speed. This was common sense logic and easy to deduce.
Speaking of the Speed of Killing Monsters, Firestorm and Summon Raven were both good choices. Ravens could attract enemies and increase my own Safety. In the Game, an 8th Level Summon Raven could summon 5 Ravens at once. Their Attack frequency was high, and their Damage was also decent, equivalent to the Normal Attack of an Adventurer with an 8th Level White Item. However, the drawback was the Attack Count Limit. This was a setting in the Game, and I didn't know if it existed in the Diablo World, but it was better to be cautious.
Firestorm was powerful. High Attack, Damage over Time, and an 8th Level Firestorm could instantly kill any Mob.
The above Skills were all very, very suitable for me. For a moment, I hesitated, wondering which one to choose.
After thinking for a while, I finally chose the last one, the seemingly ordinary Poison Creeper. Its Attack was not as good as Firestorm, its Quantity was less than Ravens, and its Safety was greatly reduced, but it was the best choice.
Because it consumed the least Mana.
Don't think that in the Diablo World you could cast infinitely just by relying on Mana Potions like in the Game. Not to mention the preciousness of Mana Potions, the Speed at which they replenished Mana was also limited.
With my current Level 2, I had 22 Mana points and no bonuses. If I rested, I could recover about 1 point in 10 minutes. If I drank a Minor Mana Potion, I could recover 10 points in 10 minutes. Such a slow recovery Speed meant that Spells were severely restricted.
Although the Diablo World was very different from the Game, I didn't have a Master to guide me, so for now, I could only use the knowledge from the Game to evaluate the pros and cons of each Skill to determine my final choice.
Werewolf Form was good, but its duration was too short, only a few dozen seconds, and its Mana consumption was high. Excluded.
Firestorm's consumption was too high. With my Mana, it was questionable whether I could even support two 8th Level Firestorms. Excluded.
Summon Raven was good, but it had limits and its consumption was too high. Excluded.
Shape Shifting... if anyone told me to learn this first, I'd beat them within an inch of their life.
Therefore, I finally chose Poison Creeper. Its relatively high Life meant it wouldn't die easily, greatly reducing my Mana consumption. Moreover, its Attack seemed to be very powerful. With its invincible Poison Damage, early stage Mobs could hardly resist it.
So, I finally chose Poison Creeper.
Poison Creeper: Skill Level: Level 8; Life: 137
The Skill description only listed Level and Life. It seemed I had to figure out the Damage myself. An 8th Level Creeper's Attack had to be higher than a Barbarian at Level 10-something.
However, just looking at the Life, I knew I made a profit. I was currently Level 2 with only 60 Life, and it was almost double mine.
Looking at the 5 Attribute Points, I didn't hesitate to add them all to Vitality.
In the Dark Continent, different Classes had different Attribute Allocation Methods. Barbarians and Paladins had bonuses in Strength and Constitution. Mages had bonuses in Mana. Amazons had bonuses in Dexterity and Strength. Assassins had a large bonus in Dexterity. Druids were relatively balanced in all aspects, with no obvious advantages or disadvantages.
For example, a Druid adding one point to Vitality equaled 3 points of Life, while Barbarians, Paladins, and Amazons got about 2-3 points. Mages and Assassins only got a mere 1 point.
Similarly, in terms of Mana, Classes like Paladins, Druids, and Assassins got 2-3 points for adding one point. Mages got 4 points, while Barbarians only got a pathetic 1 point.
This was the Attribute Bonus Talent in the Diablo World. So you should never expect to play an alternative build, like a Mana-type Barbarian or a Tanky Type Mage, just to show you were different.
Although some of the Druid's Skills were relatively weak, in terms of Attribute bonuses, they were much better than other Classes. The bonuses were quite balanced, not excelling but not lacking either. Overall, they were the strongest.
I suppressed the excitement in my heart and slowly began to Summon the Poison Creeper.
As early as when I was chatting with Lars, I knew that Casting Skills was not like in the Game, where it was instant cast. It required a certain Cast Time, and different Skills also had different Cooldown Times after casting was complete.
So when I found that while Casting Poison Creeper, Energy was slowly gathering and brewing, I wasn't surprised at all. This was just the time required for Skill casting.
About 10 seconds later, I felt the gathered power suddenly solidify, and then, like a chick breaking out of its shell, the energy gathered inside suddenly broke open and instantly drilled into the ground, disappearing.
Hmm, I widened my eyes, staring closely at the ground.
Slightly, the ground suddenly bulged up a small section, and then a slippery, mucus-covered body, like an earthworm, was revealed.
Ugh...
I almost vomited. What kind of Creeper was this? It was clearly a magnified earthworm or perhaps a stretched-out leech. It was already disgusting in the Game, but I didn't expect it to look so horrifying in reality.
I somewhat regretted choosing this Skill. Sigh, whatever. If it could save my life, being disgusting was fine. Anyway, the moment I summoned it, I also comprehended the Skill-like ability Cancel Summon. When I didn't need it, I could just get rid of it, especially when trying to pick up girls. If it suddenly popped out of the ground at a crucial moment...
It was simply a love killer!
Forcing back the nausea, I began to look for a suitable test subject. This Creeper also followed me unhurriedly, making gurgling burrowing sounds when it emerged from the ground, which made me feel incredibly nauseous.
Although the Poison Creeper was burrowing underground, it was clear that its burrowing technique had reached at least the Master level. Even if I ran, I couldn't shake it off. It still followed unhurriedly, looking half-dead, as if mocking my overestimation of myself with its leisurely pace. It was truly annoying, but amidst the frustration, there was more happiness. Fast Speed was good! Even an idiot knew what that represented.
After wandering around for about half an hour, I finally found a Fallen Camp. Inside were 5 Fallen and one Fallen Shaman, dancing their "exotic" dance. Especially the Fallen Shaman, jumping up and down, not inferior at all to the Elite Fallen Shaman I encountered last time with Lars and the others.
"Attack!"
I was hiding not far from the Camp, about to test the power of the Poison Creeper.
"Attack!"
I shouted at the Poison Creeper again.
Could it be a language barrier? By the way, who knew what kind of gibberish the Poison Creeper used?
Only now did I realize that I couldn't control this Creeper at all. My eyes instantly went blank...
Oh God, drop a Master for me! How about I trade that Mythical Item for one?
Having reached this conclusion, I retreated dejectedly, not daring to entertain the idea of attacking this Fallen Camp anymore.
I didn't give up and continued searching for a Corpse Den. I rushed in first myself.
As expected, the Poison Creeper also rushed in with me. When I was about 10 meters away from the nearest Rotting Corpse, the Poison Creeper launched its Attack.
I saw it suddenly emerge from the ground. Its bowl-sized head suddenly opened up like a blooming flower, revealing rows of sharp teeth that reminded me of the scene in "King Kong 2" that I once watched, where the Mercenaries fell into the canyon. In the canyon, when the mouths of the man-eating leeches hiding in the shallow muddy water opened wide, they looked just like this.
The slow-witted Rotting Corpse hadn't reacted yet when it was bitten by the Poison Creeper. Its entire body instantly turned an oily green color, and its Life plummeted sharply. By the time it reacted, the Poison Creeper had already drilled back into the ground.
Beautiful! I snapped my fingers. Although I had expected an 8th Level Poison Creeper to be amazing, seeing it display its power still made me excited.
When the Rotting Corpse had only a sliver of health left, the Poison Creeper emerged again, bit it, and instantly, the Rotting Corpse fell down. The Corpse could no longer withstand the violent Viral Infestation and instantly began to rot, even its bones starting to melt.
Ugh, seeing this way of dying, I couldn't help but vomit out the Dried Meat I ate this morning. This scene was less horrifying and more disgusting.
However, seeing the Poison Creeper deal with a Rotting Corpse in less than 4 seconds, I was overjoyed—it seemed Skills were indeed the Adventurer's sharpest weapon!
Soon after, the Poison Creeper successively killed the other 3 Rotting Corpses. It itself was only accidentally hit by another Rotting Corpse the moment it burrowed up to attack, losing 8 points of Life, which almost made me want to shout "Long live the Creeper!" Unfortunately, these four Rotting Corpses didn't drop anything. Humph, how stingy and miserly! They were already dead, yet they were still clinging to that Equipment and Gold Coin...
