It's been 4 hour's since Noah left the house..
The night was cold. Milan's streets glowed under flickering streetlamps, and the echo of Noah's bare footsteps against cobblestone was the only music in his ears.
His breath came out ragged, puffing through his lips as his legs carried him further and further from Alessio's penthouse. From that man. That kiss. That slap of humiliation. That door slammed in his face.
He didn't even know where he was going. The loose white shirt barely covered him; the silk clung to his chest like a whisper of shame. His thighs were cold beneath the too-short shorts. Dirt clung to his feet. He was nothing but a trembling shadow on the street.
Then—
A sleek, black luxury car slowed beside him.
The window rolled down.
"Hey…" A deep voice. Polished. Calm. Almost tender. "Are you alright?"
Noah turned his head.
The man inside the car looked nothing like the thugs who had tried to corner him earlier. He was well-dressed—black silk shirt, wristwatch gleaming under the light. Clean-cut hair. Jaw tight. Smile soft.
And his eyes…
Too calm.
"I saw those guys earlier. I scared them off," he said, voice silky. "They won't bother you anymore."
Noah hesitated.
"You don't have to trust me. But it's freezing. And you're… shaking."
He was.
"Come on," the man urged, opening the passenger door. "I'll drive you somewhere safe. A hotel maybe."
Noah's feet didn't move. Every instinct screamed don't.
But the wind cut through him like knives. He had no phone. No money. No one.
And maybe—maybe—it didn't matter anymore.
He got in.
---
The car was warm.
Leather seats. Expensive cologne.
The stranger didn't speak at first. Just hummed. A soft jazz tune played in the background as he drove slowly through empty streets.
Noah sat with his arms wrapped around his knees, curled like a child. Watching. Listening.
"You're pretty quiet," the man said finally. His eyes flicked over. "Want to tell me your name?"
No response.
"Alright. No pressure."
Silence again.
"Just wondering… why is someone like you walking barefoot in Milan at midnight? Did your master throw you out?"
Noah flinched.
"I don't have a master."
The man laughed lightly. "You smell like you belong to someone powerful."
That made Noah look up sharply.
"Your scent," the man continued. "It's laced. Marked. Recent too. But not fully claimed yet…"
Noah stiffened.
"Don't worry," he added. "I'm not judging. Just curious."
"I didn't ask you to be curious," Noah snapped.
The man chuckled. "Feisty. That's good. Makes it more fun."
A chill raced down Noah's spine.
He turned toward the window. But his reflection—pale skin, wide eyes, trembling lips—only made him angrier.
"Where are we going?"
"Just driving," the man said easily. "You looked lost. Thought I'd help."
"You can drop me off here," Noah said suddenly, voice tight.
The car didn't stop.
"Drop. Me. Off."
"Now, now…" The man's tone lowered. "Don't be rude."
He pressed a button.
The doors locked.
Noah's breath caught. "What the fuck?"
"Relax." A smile that no longer reached his eyes. "I just want to talk."
He reached over—hand grazing Noah's thigh.
Noah jerked away violently. "Don't touch me—!"
The man's smile widened. "You should've worn a leash if you didn't want to be picked up, kitten."
Noah slapped his hand away and reached for the handle—but the door didn't budge.
Panic surged. His pheromones flared—pure fear. Sharp. Vulnerable.
The man's pupils dilated. "Mm… I love that scent."
Before he could say more—
Screeeeeech.
A black SUV crashed into the side of the car, tires screaming.
Metal crumpled.
The stranger slammed on the brakes. "What the hell?!"
The door behind Noah was ripped open.
Noah turned—heart pounding—only to see a shadow step out from the SUV.
Cold. Deadly.
Alessio.
Dressed in a black suit, his dark hair pushed back, eyes blazing with something unholy.
The man in the driver's seat didn't move.
"Get. Your. Fucking. Hands. Off. Him."
The words came slow. Measured. Promised death.
"Is this your master?" the stranger smirked. "He looks… possessive."
Alessio walked to the passenger side. The stranger moved to block the door—but Alessio didn't wait.
BAM!
One punch.
The driver's nose shattered under Alessio's knuckles.
Blood sprayed.
Noah screamed. The man fell against the steering wheel, groaning, and Alessio yanked Noah out with one arm—crushing him against his chest.
Noah didn't resist.
He was shaking, stunned.
"Get in the SUV," Alessio ordered.
Noah's legs barely obeyed. Alessio slammed the passenger door and stalked back to the stranger's car. He grabbed the man by the collar, dragging him half-out.
"You touch what's mine—" Alessio hissed, punching him again. "—you bleed for it."
CRACK.
Another rib snapped.
The man spat blood, laughing faintly. "She said you would come. But Just like always. You never learn to protect."
Alessio froze.
His grip loosened.
"What did you say?" he asked, voice dangerously quiet.
But the man passed out. Winking at Noah secretly and Noah lips curved in a small smirk just a little...
Alessio stared, eyes wide for a moment—then he turned, storming back to Noah. to his SUV.
Inside, Noah sat curled again, silent. Alessio climbed in and started the engine.
Neither of them spoke.
---
Back at the penthouse—
Noah didn't even make it to the guest room. His legs gave out in the hallway. Alessio caught him, swore under his breath, and carried him inside like glass.
Set him down on the bed.
Noah still said nothing. Just stared at the ceiling.
"You okay?"
No answer.
"You're not hurt?"
Noah flinched.
"Talk to me."
"You threw me out."
Alessio shut his eyes.
"I didn't mean—"
"You threw me out," Noah repeated, eyes wide and wet. "You let me walk into that… monster's car. And now you want to ask if I'm okay?"
Alessio's fists clenched.
"I made a mistake."
"Is that what you call it?" Noah whispered. "I was nearly—" He broke off, voice cracking.
Alessio looked at him.
For a moment—just a moment—a flash of something haunted crossed his face.
"Noah…"
Noah looked away.
"You wouldn't understand," Alessio murmured. "I've lost someone before. Someone who I loved."
Noah blinked, startled. A unknown hate in his eye's.
Alessio stood there, framed by moonlight and memory. His expression blank. Almost hollow.
"She died because of me. Because of what I do. Who I am."
A long silence stretched.
"I won't let that happen again," he said finally.
Noah stared at him, unsure what to say.
Then, quietly, "So I'm your replacement?"
Alessio flinched.
"No. You're different."
"You don't even know me."
"I'm starting to," he whispered.
And he meant it.
Every stubborn breath. Every sulk. Every spitfire tantrum.
He was addicted.
But not sure, why...
---
As Alessio walked out of the room, he pulled out his phone.
"Track down that man. Discreetly," he said coldly. "And dig up everything. He mentioned her. That's not a coincidence."
He hung up.
The hallway was quiet.
He stood outside Noah's door, fingers brushing the wood.
Inside, Noah finally cried—for everything.
And Alessio whispered to himself, his voice dark and low.
"I will tame you, kitten. Not by force."
He smirked.
"But by making you forget there was ever a world without me."
---
Alessio thought he was the king of this game—
but he didn't know his queen was already ruling…
from darkness....
-------
Noah receives a mysterious letter left outside the door at midnight. A letter with only one sentence: "Dont forgot."
And he smirked... painful little smirk
