Chapter 12 - 12- Had To Die

Aurora:

I was pacing around in the room, waiting for Delis and Kamila. I needed to know the details. They always stopped me from thinking about anything regarding escape because they thought it was not the ideal time.

Before getting out of here, I needed to get rid of that mark.

When there was a knock at the door, I rushed to the door but then stopped myself in time. I was a Luna and was supposed to wait for the person to come to me.

If there were any third person, they might be doubtful about my changed demeanor. Kamila came inside, carrying my dinner tray.

She signaled to me through her eye movements that now wasn't the time to say a word about it. I quietly sat down on the couch and nodded at her.

Different guards were assigned to my door in rotating shifts. Delis was off duty right now, and we couldn't take any risks. Lycans' hearing power was much higher than the werewolves.

While I slowly ate my food, I saw Kamila writing something on a piece of paper. I was waiting impatiently to read what she wanted to say.

At last, she extended the chit to me.

We just came to know that after the official dinner, Alpha Sebastian will leave the palace for a little while. He is planning to visit a neighboring werewolf pack. That will be an ideal time to execute the plan. I'll come back late at night and will explain to you everything later.

I didn't think I'd even blink an eye tonight.

But then a sudden surge of excitement rushed through me, and for the first time in so long, I felt truly happy.

Freedom.

At last, I would be away from all the werewolves and Lycans. Maybe having no wolf wasn't that bad.

I could always opt to live with humans. Though I didn't have any skills. But I could tend the garden, scrub the floors, or maybe become a nanny for a millionaire's kids.

There were endless options if I put my mind to it.

I wanted to think positively. Nothing and nobody could stop me from living my life.

I lay on the bed and waited for Kamila and Delis. I didn't even know if I should pack a bag or not. The most important thing that must be out of there was me.

I was waiting for my friends impatiently and couldn't wait to hear their plans. I looked around to have one last look at my prison.

I wish nobody else would come here and get the same fate as me. Running a hand through my short hair, I reminded myself of what this place had taken from me. Touching my fingers to my head, I tried feeling my newly grown hair in the middle.

Werewolves and Lycans were all the same. They didn't have any respect for women. It was our fault too.

We let them.

I must have slipped into a light slumber when I heard the slight creaking sound of the door. I quickly got up and found Kamila and Delis coming inside.

I gave them a big smile and jumped off the bed. I needed to hug them. They were the only people who made my stay a little bearable.

In my happiness, I didn't notice their white faces.

"Luna. You need to go," Kamila announced.

I pulled back and cupped her cheek, "I know," I then turned to look at Delis, "So… what's the plan?"

They both exchanged a look and then looked at me. That was when I realized something wasn't right.

"What happened?"

Delis gave me three small bottles, "You need to run away… now! We can't wait anymore, Luna."

Now? Didn't they say, they were here to explain the plan? I thought it was supposed to happen right before dawn. When I gave them a dumb look, they both nodded.

"Yes, Luna. Now," Kamila made me sit on the couch, "They are planning to kill you."

What?

I tried, standing up, but then was pushed down back to the couch, "You need to be brave, Luna. Now listen to Delis very carefully."

Delis crouched down near the couch and raised his hand in which he was holding three bottles.

"I got these three bottles from a witch. The first one is used for suppressing your smell. There is a vast forest out there, and rogues wouldn't let you survive. You need to apply it after every two hours, or you will be killed or rap*ed by them. Just one drop will be enough to apply. Now here is the green bottle," he showed me a mini bottle that had a green liquid in it, "This is the best one. It's one drop that will make you disappear for two hours."

"What?" I breathed in horror. Were they serious? "You mean to say I'll be invisible?"

Delis nodded at me, "Yup. That's right. Now… The last bottle," he showed it to me, and there was just one silver drop inside that bottle that resembled mercury and was wiggling in the base as if it had a life of its own.

"This bottle only has one drop. After we leave, just put this drop on the bed. Your room will be on fire within ten minutes."

"Fire?" I whispered to them.

"Yes, Luna. If you need to get out, you need to fake your death. Alpha Sebastian isn't in the mood to set you free. Luna Tamia and Tina think that you did it intentionally. They are planning to murder you right before dawn. We just received news that the Crimson Claw pack got burned in a fire. Their whole pack is wiped off. Alpha Sebastian left urgently to visit the pack. There are no survivors as everyone died. Go to the Blood Stone pack and tell them that you are a survivor of the Black Moon pack. They will take you in an instant without any verification."

This was getting too much for me.

Luna Tamia and Tina were after my life, and I needed to go to the Blood Stone pack for a roof over my head and my safety.

I couldn't get out alive, so I had to die before getting out of there.
