'Shit, off course. I run into bad guys when I leave a dungeon. Classical cliché.' Tim cursed out in his mind.
Frustrated was what he was. Who would have thought that he would run into slave traders. It was not his business anyway, so he thought he might just excuse himself from their premises.
"I apologize for delaying your journey. You must really want to get to your destination and all I am doing is delaying you.
I will take my leave now" Tim said, as he tried to avoid conflict.
He truly had no read on the strength of the group, so he figured out that the best thing for him now was to excuse himself from their presence.
As he started to walk in the opposite direction from where the group was coming from. A voice resounded from his back.
"Where do you think you are going to." One of the leaders asked Tim.
Tim immediately paused in his movements.
'Damn it. System thingy, can't you appraise this group of people? I really don't like being passive because of the unknown.
It would be better if I could tell their level or just tell if they were stronger than me with a single glance.' Tim asked his system from his mind.
[General Appraisal would be unlocked at level 10 for all participants.]
'I see.'
Tim turned and faced the group of slave traders.
"I did not want to bother you. I just wanted to leave." Tim said, as he raised his hands up in surrender.
The leader that stated that they were slave traders laughed really hard and said "Kid, you must have he shittiest luck in the whole of Fantasiaa.
You ran away from a group of slave traders only to run into another group of slave trader. Hahaha."
Tim smiled awkwardly. He knew now for sure that the group did not have any intention for him to leave.
Knowing his current fate, he decided to at least find a way to negotiate his way out of the situation that he was stuck in.
"My father is very powerful and rich. If you let me go, I promise that your group would be rewarded handsomely." Tim said, as he tried to appeal to the money loving side of the group.
Everybody loved money, including the group that he met. He just needed to appease to their money loving side.
"Still trying to promise us money huh. It seems like you don't get it. We do not sell people for the money. We sell people for the fun of it. Just take a look at the amount and quality of merchandise that we have presently. * The leader said, as he went to remove the cloth that covered the cage.*
Do you see the quality of the people. We do have fun with the females sometimes.
You know the blood rush one gets when a young or old sexy elf tries to scream for help, but she knows that help is not coming for her."
Tim was shocked by what he saw.
In the cage there were a lot of female elves that were in chains and they had obvious bruises on their body.
He understood what the leader meant, when he said quality because the elves that he was seeing currently where mostly matured elves.
They had beautiful faces and well curved bodies.
Tim searched the cave and found a little elf shivering at the corner of the cage. From the looks of it, the elf was at most 8 years old, yet she had bruises on her body.
Rage swelled within Tim because of what he was seeing. 'They even take young and innocent elves. I did not expect the occupants of this world to be so trashy.
First, they banish me because of my weakness, now the first set of humans that I have communications with are of no good.
What sort of predicament is this.' Tim thought as he tried to contain himself.
He was not at his 100, so he could not afford to start a battle with the group of slave traders, his hand was just halfway healed at that point.
He was truly angry, but Tim in the presence of all the wrongness kept his cool externally.
It was a façade, but he just had to do it. He needed to play his role properly.
"I see that you have a lot of merchandise." Tim said.
The other leader came forward "I see that your initial stutter has long been gone since we stated that we are slave traders.
Normally when my colleague shows the cage of elves to an elf, they breakdown in tears or they have intense anger on their face, but you.
You did not give a tell at all, when you were showed all this.
It is one of two things.
It is either that you do not care at all about the safety of the elves especially the little one that I had fun with recently * The other leader said with a creepy smile. * Or you are angry, and you are just good at hiding your emotions.
I think it is the latter. You hide your emotions so well that I want to cut up that elven body of yours and see if that your emotionless face will remain emotionless." The other leader said with a grin.
'These guys deserve death. I don't even want to add scum like them into my list of undead. He definitely defiled that innocent elf.
I am no hero, but it doesn't just sit right with me to let this people continue to breathe in the same air that I breathe.
Even back on earth, children were a line that was never supposed to be crossed.' Tim thought, as he looked at the other leader in disgust but he hid it.
He remained silent and he quickly did a head count of the number of people in the group. He needed to know what he would be faced with, if he strongly resisted them.
