Daemon's smile turned razor-sharp. "I heard of your request to nullify my engagement to dear Rhea. Quite bold. You didn't even ask my opinion."
"Would it have changed the outcome?" Rodrik asked plainly.
Daemon snorted. "Not one bit. But if you convince Viserys to sever the match Everyone would be happier."
He stepped closer, eyes narrowing slightly. "About your help in stepstones. Who is that mysterious enemy you would require a dragon help to defeat?"
Rodrik gave him a measured smile. "Patience, Prince Daemon. Even the finest hunt must wait for the prey to come into view."
Daemon's eyes gleamed with dangerous curiosity. "Then let me know when it starts. I do so enjoy a good hunt" then Daemon came near him spoke in a slow & colder voice " but please do keep in mind Lord Arryn I am a dragon do not think that you could control me by helping in stepstones or speaking up for me infront of the King. It is dragons that rules seven kingdoms & you will be well to remember it"
Rodrik smile fell for one second then he again smiled & said " As you say my Prince"
Daemon gave him a smirk & left.
Rodrik knew that Daemon is a very unpredictable character who have talent no doubt & have lots of ambition & self worth but the one thing he doesn't have is direction. That's why he is very volatile because even he doesn't know what he wants other than to always prove the superiority of the Targeryen family. He can kill you with a laughing face of he feels the need to do so. Hardly anyone other than Viserys can control him. Engaging with such a person is very risky but for the plan he has Daemons help is required.
After Daemon left Rodrik also left the gardens from the corner his two hired swords from Bravos joined him. Nyra face stoic as always just said " You have missed your morning lessons you will need to sweat double tommow to make it up". Rodrik frozen & said " Are you kidding me I am barely keeping up as it is & His Grace summoned me what was I supposed to do not go?,"
On which Nyra said " Doesn't matter for a day of not training you need to do double the next day"
Rodrik brow was sweating but he knew he could do anything as he is the one asked both of them to teach him. Nyra has asked for full authority on training even Rodrik can't deny him otherwise she will not train him anymore.
Vaeron laughed " I have warned you multiple times then that please don't do this but you won't listen. Nyra is famous for her sparten trainings. Some of his students have tried run , some has even tried crying in front of her but the thing is she likes to train people maybe she likes to see rich nobel brats suffer but she always take their word & words from their parents that if she starts nobady would have the authority to stop her barbpermanent damage to the student. She is so infamous in Bravos that nobady comes near her anymore"
Rodrik got stunned " Why didn't you tell me earlier".
" I tried but you won't listen" Vaeron said.
" Well then you should have tried harder" Rodrik got depressed & when he say Nyra she looked like she was having fun & Rodrik didn't like that one bit.
In the next morning when Rodrik was getting carried to his room after his training because he was not able to walk. New came that his Grace has banished Prince Daemon again. The reasons were not known but Rodrik knew it.
He went to see the princess but she had denied any meetings.
After some time news came that Viserys has betrothed Rhaenerya to Laenor Velaryon
He thought that the king would after him Rhaenerya hand but maybe he gave more importance to Live dragons than the golden once on coins. He didn't knew whatbto think about that. So he took his leave from kings landing with Nyra, Vaeron & his guards towards Winterfell as he had something to discuss with Lord Stark.
