Chapter 2 - Seeing what Kharo got from his latest travels

We walk into my house and walk straight to the kitchen while Kharo is skipping next to me.

"So what exactly did you get from your travels this time, kiddo?" I asked Kharo as I put the meats that I got from the butcher into the refrigerator.

"I got a bunch of magic items and weapons—oh, and can you get the blueberries out for me?" Kharo asked me, and I got them out for him. Then I give them to him as I pour myself a cup of some sweet tea that I made from my old lady's recipe.

"Oh, I also got some herbs and fruits for you," Kharo said to me as he eats his blueberries. Then he asked me, "Are these the blueberries that you grow?"

"Yeah, they are," I answered him as I took a sip of my tea.

"They are pretty good."

"I know," I said. Then I say as I put my cup down on the counter, "Let's go check out those things that you got."

"Yes! Let's go!" he said as he got excited and ran to the library.

I chuckle as I walk after him to the library, and when I walk into it, I see Kharo holding a spatial storage bag that I gifted him a while ago. I think it was when I first met him.

I walk over to the table in the library, where he put the bag on. Then he digs into it and takes out a book, and I'm going to assume it's a grimoire by the design of it.

"This is a dwarf flame-type grimoire that I got from an old dwarf from around Texas, but he didn't take dollars, so I had to pay in common currency. So it was four gold and three silver coins," Kharo said to me as he handed me the grimoire and I start to read it.

"Did you use the Eyes of Arcanalysis on this to see if these are real spells?" I asked him, 'cause people like to sell fake grimoires with fake spells all the time.

"Always I do. I'm not that dumb."

"That is questionable," I said as I keep reading the grimoire. Then I say, "These are some really crazy spells in here that are just made to destroy things. Like this [Forgefire Surge] just sends a stream of molten flame from your hands, but the downside of this is that we are not dwarf-kin, so it would not be as good as it's supposed to be."

"Yeah... but knowing you and your magical ability, I believe that you would be able to get pretty close!"

"The only reason that my spells are so good is because of my control over mana and the potency of my mana. 'Cause I have a decent-size mana pool, so my control and potency made it where the spells that I cast don't need that much mana. Plus, if I want to get it strong, then I would have to train it for a while to know how to use the least amount of mana needed."

"Yeah yeah, I know I know, you have explained it multiple times since we met," Kharo dismissed me, but I know that he didn't. That is just how he is, 'cause he is brash and blunt about things, yet he is a good kid that just needs some guidance.

Then he pulled out a wand-looking thing that was gold with each end having a purple-colored crystal, and he said to me, "This is called the Duelist Wand!"

"Let me guess—it's used for dueling?" I asked him.

"Yes!" he said as I sense him pour some mana into it. Then it turned into a rapier, with the blade made of mana and the cup guard, cross guard, knuckle guard, and hilt as magic sigils made of mana, and it's all purple.

"Where did you get this from?" I asked him as he handed me the Duelist Wand after he deactivated it. I held it in my hands as I tested the weight of the wand itself. It was really light, and the wand was strong too—not bendable really.

"I got it from a witch shop up in the countryside of England, in some place I think was called Cotswolds. Also, the shop was kind of Harry Potter themed 'cause there were Harry Potter-themed items."

"Interesting..." I mutter as I pour a little bit of my mana into the wand. Then it comes to life as it did for Kharo.

It weighs the same as before, so it does not add any weight to it, which is good for some people who like light weapons—but I prefer heavier weapons. Anyways, more on the wand: I think the blade strength itself depends on the user's mana because the blade looked stronger than it did for Kharo.

"Do you know how to use a rapier?" I asked Kharo, and he shook his head at my question. Then I asked him, "Do you want this to be your main weapon?"

"OH! That sounds like a really cool idea, so yeah!" he answered my question. So I am going to need to make a training plan for him, 'cause I am not going to allow him to train with a weapon until I am sure that his body is—even if just a little bit—suited to fight, due to him being a little bit scrawny and a little bit underweight for someone his age and height.

"Oh, I also got some moonlight weed!" Kharo said to me as he took out about a 10-inch clear glass jar full of white and black weed.

I took it from his hands, then I opened it to smell it, and it smelled really good. Then I asked him, "Where did you get this? 'Cause from what I know, this kind of weed is rare to get—plus, it costs a lot of money."

"I got it for only seven gold coins and eight silver coins, somewhere in Washington in the Cascade Range!" he said to me, and that was really cheap for this, 'cause not a lot of people know about it being a thing due to the effects that it has—like, it basically doubles everything that relates to your mana for a few hours. So for a few hours, spells are two times stronger, last two times longer, the user's mana is two times more potent, and other things.

"There are some seeds in here..." I mutter as I point out what I saw in the jar.

"Yeah, I know. The lady I got it from, she let me pick out the pieces that I wanted, and I made sure to get some with seeds on it so we can maybe grow some for ourselves only and we wouldn't have to ever spend money on it!" he said to me, all excited.

"I'm not saying yes or no, but we don't have the tools and equipment to grow it," I said to him.

"Oh, well, I got all the things in this bag from the lady for only three gold coins."

"Who was this lady, and did she sell all these things to you out of everyone?"

"Oh, she was this druid that was a half-elf and half-orc. She was really nice to me and gave me some notes in a little pocket notebook on how to grow these bad boys," Kharo said as he took out a little pocket notebook, and I take it from his hands, then I start to read it.

"Well, I think that your charm worked on her, kiddo," I said to him teasingly as I read the notebook, and it was pretty well detailed on how to grow this stuff.

"A-ahh, well I don't think that I charm anyone," he said as I can see him start to blush a little bit, which was a little bit funny.

"Anyway, kiddo, let's go back to the kitchen so you can tell me about your travels this time around and I can prepare the bison for tonight's stew," I said to him as I walk out of the library and I walk to the kitchen, not really looking back to see if Kharo is following me, 'cause I can hear him following me.

When we got into the kitchen, Kharo sat down at the table that I got in here in the kitchen for things. Anyway, I go to the refrigerator and I take out the bison and I set it down on the counter.

"Oh, I have been needing to ask you a question," Kharo said to me as I take out a cutting board and a knife.

"Shot," I said as I take the bison out of the butcher wrapping paper.

"Well, I want to know why won't you let me practice [Mana Boost] at all until I get my mana control better?"

"Because I am going to teach you the proper and real [Mana Boost], not the one that most people use. 'Cause the real one is you sending mana to muscles, bones, and nerves, and that takes a lot of control. Because overuse or poor mana circulation will lead to overstrain on your body or injuries. So that is the reason for that—plus your body is not strong enough to handle that much mana in [Mana Boost]," I gave him the reason as I start to cut the bison into cubes.

"I guess I understand," Kharo said to me, sounding a little bit defeated by that. It doesn't affect me, because I will stand by what I said. Then he said, "Anyways, let me talk about what happened on my travels."

[AN: Hello goblins, it is your favorite Hispanic Daddy here with a new chapter for this Fanfic.

Spells here in this world have classes and type like Kitsune flame-type magic or Kitsune ice-type magic, this how the world class magic by putting the race the magic come from then the type of magic it is. Also a person can use magic outside their race magic but it would be kind of weak compare to someone from the magic type race to it like if a Orc used a Fairy wind-type spell than it would be weak than a Fairy using it but you can make it strong it just take a lot of training. There are spells that would not really made by anyway because they just only need mana.

Where what the Duelist Wand look like:

I want to say this now cause I don't want to hear people complaining about it later, the MC is a bisexual man or better said pansexual man that will have both sexual and romantic relationship with any gender as long that he love them and have feeling for them, also he will never go for anyone under 30 years old because to him they are still kids.

The average soldier in this world is supersoldier level if you just talking the ones in the non-magic combat groups and does one that do use magic are stronger because they need a very strong body to use some spells.

Also here is a example of the different is strength of worlds, a regular human that only know basic self-defense from our world vs a regular human that only know basic self-defense from this Fanfic world then the human from the fanfic world will win cause the mana in his body make him 1.5 times stronger than a human from our world.]
