"The job for today is both simple and short. So simple, in fact, I don't think anyone here will have a problem remembering its details," Theo continued once the crowd settled down after his last remark.
Those people lived in the shade cast by the cultivators above them for their entire lives. And now Theo claimed those very same cultivators would soon come begging to their doors, valuing what they were going to earn with just a week's worth of work over any reasonable amount?
That was sure to stir up quite the emotion within the crowd. And, just like Theo wanted, it also ensured those simple men would go to great lengths to satisfy his requests… Even if those requests turned out to be really simple.
"For today, all I want is two hundred cups that can each hold the same amount of water. Then, a box full of the threads from the dismantled ropes and ten buckets of cold water," Theo listed out everything that he needed.
