Episode 75: Heaven Falls, Hell Rises

The sky cracked open.

Michael, Archangel of War, descended like a comet—his eyes burning with divine fury, wings outstretched across the sky, and his flaming blade, Valiance, humming with ancient rage. The ground beneath him sizzled as he landed, dust and power rippling through the battlefield.

"Lucian," he thundered, "your sins end today."

Lucian stepped forward, calm yet alert. His voice, rich and menacing, answered, "And yours are just beginning."

Seraphina stood between them, her blade trembling slightly in her grasp—not with fear, but with anticipation. This was no ordinary battle. This was history rewriting itself in blood and prophecy.

"Stand down, mortal," Michael snapped. "This is between brothers."

"No," Seraphina said, raising her chin. "This is between gods and truth. And I choose truth."

A silence fell—a moment of suspended fate.

Then it broke.

Michael struck first. His blade came down like lightning. Lucian blocked, fire meeting light, the shockwave leveling trees and throwing soldiers off their feet.

Around them, chaos exploded.

Demons and angels clashed again, spells igniting the sky, the Seraph Blade pulsing in Seraphina's hand as she deflected attackers. She weaved through the fray, eyes fixed on the titanic duel before her.

Every strike from Michael split the ground. Every parry from Lucian rippled the air.

But Michael was gaining ground.

"I trained you," Michael growled. "You were Heaven's might. Now you crawl in the dirt like a beast."

"I evolved," Lucian snarled. "You stayed a slave to the throne."

As Michael prepared the killing blow, Seraphina leapt between them, her blade deflecting his in a blast of sparks.

"You dare—"

"I dare," she said. "You fight for pride. I fight for people."

Michael's eyes narrowed. "Then you'll die with him."

He raised Valiance—

—but from behind, a whisper of wings. A dagger. Blood.

Gabriel.

The archangel's dagger slid into Michael's side.

"Forgive me, brother," Gabriel whispered. "But the heavens are wrong."

Michael staggered back, stunned. Lucian seized the moment, his blade cutting across Michael's chest. The Archangel of War fell, not dead, but defeated.

A silence fell across the battlefield. Heaven's champion had fallen.

Lucian helped Seraphina to her feet, his eyes soft for once. "He'll return," he said. "They all do."

Seraphina nodded. "So will we."

She turned to the watching armies. "Let this day be remembered. The day Heaven fell, and we chose our own fate!"

Cheers erupted. The tide had turned.

Far away, in the shadows of the Celestial Throne, a pair of eyes opened. Watching. Waiting.

Because the war was not over.

It had just begun.
