Chapter 58 - Tang San's Heart Flutter

Xiao Wu and Ao Tian entered Notting Elementary Soul Master Academy and went straight back to their dorm.

The opening ceremony would be held tomorrow, so they had the day off.

Two people were missing from the work-study student dorm. One was Wang Sheng, and the other was also in the sixth grade and had graduated with Wang Sheng.

According to the work-study students who had already arrived, Wang Sheng's soul power had increased by a small level during the holidays, and he was already preparing to take the exam for a secondary Soul Master Academy.

Ao Tian smiled without speaking. Wang Sheng, who had been infused with his spiritual energy, had his extremely poor talent subtly improved, which could be considered a rare opportunity.

Xiao Chenyu had also graduated from Notting Academy and had reportedly gone to the same secondary academy as Wang Sheng.

Ao Tian and Xiao Wu had arrived early. The returning work-study students would all come to Xiao Wu to greet her, respectfully calling her "Sister Xiao Wu."

Xiao Wu's big eyes curved into crescents as she stood there smiling, enjoying the feeling of being the big sister.

Ao Tian saw this and took out the mattress and blanket, saying, "Make the bed."

Xiao Wu immediately pouted, unconvinced. "Why should I make it?"

Ao Tian looked at her sideways. "Then you can sleep by yourself from now on. Oh, right, you don't have a blanket yet. You can go buy one now."

"Don't be like that." Xiao Wu nimbly jumped onto the bed and diligently spread out the mattress and bedding.

Ao Tian was quite satisfied. "You owe me so much money, you probably won't be able to pay it back for several years. Then you can be a maid and help me with chores first. The money you owe me will be deducted from your wages."

"Over five hundred Gold Soul Coins, won't that kill me?" Xiao Wu muttered softly.

"So, are you going to do it or not?" Ao Tian crossed his arms, watching her with a smile.

"Fine, I'll do it, okay?" Xiao Wu said, looking resentful.

She quickly made the bed and patted the edge, saying, "Please, sit down."

"You're adapting to being a little maid quite quickly, aren't you?" Ao Tian sat down with satisfaction.

Xiao Wu pouted towards the opposite side and said, "Do you remember the bet you made with Grandmaster? You're going to compete with Tang San today, but it's so unfair. I really feel sorry for Tang San."

"How could I forget?" Ao Tian replied.

This was something Grandmaster had brought up first. Ao Tian was a little annoyed by the other person's air of knowing everything and being the ultimate authority, which was why he'd agreed.

He was curious to see if Tang San's cultivation speed would improve dramatically under his pressure.

"Why isn't he here yet? I'm a little impatient," Xiao Wu said.

Ao Tian glanced at her and said, "You're bored and just want to watch the fun, aren't you?"

Xiao Wu stuck out her little pink tongue.

Just then, Tang San's voice came from outside, "Gu Yue Na, this is the Seventh Dorm."

Ao Tian and Xiao Wu turned their heads towards the door simultaneously, and the first thing they saw was Tang San's smiling face.

In the previous semester, Tang San had always been very composed and spoke very little. Ao Tian and his roommates had never seen him smile so brightly before.

Tang San entered the room and turned around, saying warmly, "Come in."

Outside the door, a little girl brimming with ethereal beauty walked in.

She had a pair of large, purple eyes and a head of smooth, silver hair cascading down her back. Her skin was delicate, and her temperament was as cold and aloof as a fairy, radiating an aura that kept people at a distance.

She was holding a set of work-study student clothes.

This was actually a miniature version of Gu Yue Na. Ao Tian couldn't help but widen his eyes. He had just heard Tang San call her "classmate," and he thought he'd misheard.

He hadn't expected it to actually be Gu Yue Na.

The other work-study students around him were just like Ao Tian, their eyes wide. Many of them couldn't help but swallow hard. When they first saw Xiao Wu, they were already stunned, but now seeing this even more beautiful girl, their feelings could only be described as electrifying. Their hearts were racing, their faces flushed, and they didn't know where to put their hands.

It was love at first sight, the feeling of a heart pounding.

"Thank you," Gu Yue Na said, her voice cold, no smile on her face.

Tang San scratched his head and chuckled, saying, "You're welcome. We're classmates now, so it's only natural to help each other."

He looked at Gu Yue Na, a look of amazement in his eyes. Even with his adult mentality, he couldn't help but be captivated by this little fairy.

He cautioned himself repeatedly, reminding himself that she was just a little girl, but he couldn't help but want to talk to her, couldn't help but want to care for her.

Having lived two lives, his heart, which had never experienced the emotions of love, suddenly fluttered. It was a very strange feeling.

Tang San had just finished speaking when he realized that Gu Yue Na wasn't paying attention to him. Instead, she was looking towards the inside of the dormitory.

Suddenly, he saw that the girl before him, with her cold and aloof demeanor, like a snow lotus on an icy mountain, suddenly bloomed with a heart-stopping smile.

Tang San was stunned.

As if a spring breeze had arrived overnight, with thousands and thousands of pear blossoms blooming, Tang San felt exactly that way right now, completely captivated.

Then he saw Gu Yue Na, holding her school uniform, quickly walking inside.

When he saw Gu Yue Na stop in front of Ao Tian's bed, Tang San's heart clenched, and a sadness he had never experienced before suddenly welled up.

"Ao… Tian." Gu Yue Na had originally wanted to call him Senior Ao, but on second thought, she realized it wasn't appropriate in this situation, so she directly addressed Ao Tian by name.

They actually knew each other? Tang San felt a little uncomfortable. He walked back to his own bed, casually making it while pricking up his ears, wanting to hear what Gu Yue Na and Ao Tian were talking about.

"Didn't I tell you to go home? Why are you here?" Ao Tian asked.

Facing Ao Tian's slightly scolding tone, Gu Yue Na pursed her lips and said, "It's the same to cultivate here as it is at home, and I can often ask you about cultivation problems."

Could they be family? No, their surnames are different. They might have known each other since childhood, but Gu Yue Na seems a little afraid of Ao Tian. Tang San quickly analyzed the relationship between Ao Tian and Gu Yue Na in his mind.

Ao Tian shook his head and said, "Suit yourself. Since you're here, find a bed and rest."

Tang San's heart skipped a beat, and his heartbeat gradually began to quicken.

The beds in the dormitory were arranged on both sides. On Ao Tian's side, Ao Tian and Xiao Wu's beds were pushed together, already at the very end.

As for Tang San, his bed was the second to last one. There was an empty bed directly to his right.

Tang San stopped what he was doing, stood up straight, and smiled faintly. "Classmate Gu Yue Na, there's a spot here."

Gu Yue Na glanced back, then scanned the other beds, finally settling her gaze on Xiao Wu's bed.

She held her school uniform and walked over to Xiao Wu's bed, placing the uniform at the head of the bed. She then smiled, saying, "Xiao Wu, we'll be sleeping together from now on."

The smile on Tang San's face froze. The gazes of the surrounding students occasionally fell on him, making him feel incredibly awkward.

Gu Yue Na didn't even respond to him, her gaze didn't even linger on him.

For the first time, Tang San felt how uncomfortable it was to be treated like air.

He didn't quite understand why Gu Yue Na felt so superior. Was it because of her beauty?

Watching Gu Yue Na take off her shoes, climb onto Xiao Wu's bed, and sit between Xiao Wu and Ao Tian, Tang San felt as if his heart had shattered.

The other male students in the dormitory also felt their hearts break.
