"Where am I? What happened? Did I just get isekaid?" said Ryoichi, as he looked around to nothing, where was Tokio? "Did he die?" Ryoichi asked himself before sitting on the ground and thinking about it.
"I have to find a way to get back home. I don't know the time difference between here and there. The existence of another world implies gods, being powerful enough to willingly transport an individual from one world to another, that is what likely happened. If I am transported here, Tokio should be as well, nothing makes him different from me to not be transported here. Maybe he got teleported somewhere else in the forest. If I find him, we can find a way out of this place since two people would be better than one. I have yet to find any evidence alluding to the fact that this world has magic aside from being transported here."
He got up and started walking around, ripping off a branch from a tree to work as a walking stick to test traps and weapon. Deciding that screaming wouldn't be a good idea, since that would just bring unnecessary attention to him, as he would continue walking until he found a mark on a tree, he didn't know if it was from a smart animal or Tokio.
"I should really get going, one of us should have super op stuff we can use to get back, I clearly don't feel op or like I am better. Maybe it is reflexive, eh?"
He finds a goblin camp, hides behind a tree, and thinks, "What should I do?".
He tries to leave by moving through the bushes, but the goblin's bigger pinna allows them to catch more vibrations as they figure out Ryoichi's location and flock towards him with their wooden bats, as Ryoichi looks at the rushing horde. He swings at the first one, trying to kick the other one, but is overwhelmed by bat hits as he can't help but curl up, covering his head and looking at the wooden bats from the corner of his eyes to find an opening, a sudden inner intuition occurs. He saw their frail legs as adrenaline kicked in, and the bats slowly became ineffective. He used his strength to hit their legs, knocking them down as he stood up and grabbed one of their bats and started rapidly hitting eat one on the skull. Breaking it with all his strength as he puked some blood.
"Weird, my organs couldn't be hurt. I had curled up to minimize damage. But I guess that would happen after taking that many shots."
He walks to the goblin camp and sits down on the rock that the goblin was sitting on, and the adrenaline rush subsides as it becomes harder to stay awake. As he slowly drifts off to sleep, he is tired. He wakes up to find the corpses gone, as he looks around to find the camp empty with goblin blood, an eerie feeling rises inside him, he looks around to find nothing.
"Where are the corpses? If something came here, took the corpses and left."
What does it say about him? Was it something that mainly fed on dead things, did he want only corpses or was it worried about fighting him if he attacked him? Whatever it was, it might come back, and he can't stay here. He looted the base, obtaining a spear that was likely stolen.
"Funny, the goblins were smart enough to utilise weapons, they could evolve into a smarter race, but for now, it is no smarter than a carnivorous monkey, though they are smart enough to not be tamed and dumb enough to not be communicated to."
He looks around, wondering if something is there. He continued walking, running would be too big of a risk. He had a weapon, so he had a sense of safety. The grass rustled in front, and he got into a stance to throw his spear. He waited, hoping for a human to come out, but a wolf jumped out of the grass before being stabbed through the head by a spear thrown at it. He felt a shred of happiness before more wolves came out of the grass. Ryoichi took a step back, making sure not to look back since that would show the wolves his weakness. He stood there in a standoff, slowly moving back towards a tree.
Before he could move there, a falcon-headed griffin rushed in with its call roaring through the forest. Ryoichi quickly backs down so do the wolves. The Griffin came down in front of the wolves as Tokio and a black-haired woman came down.
"Don't tell me you saved her." asked Ryoichi.
"Nah, it is quite the opposite. I got saved by Heles, she will leave after we get back. She does jobs from the job board of the town. She was here to get better. I told her about you and found you early while you were walking before getting attacked," said Tokio
"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE ME EARLIER." asked Ryoichi grabbing him by the collar.
"I really wanted to have a cool entry. I know the exit. I saw it from above and since The Griffin can only carry two people at a time, there are multiple types of griffins. Some only move on the ground, and we are here for a while. It is not that far. " Tokio said.
"Stop with the reunion and tell me, why are you 2 children in the forest?" inquired Heles after interrupting the conversation.
