The lady sleeping slowly stirred as Lucien stared at her. She raised her head and stretched, her long, sharp ears flickering slightly. Then slowly, she opened her golden amber eyes.
Lucien was staring at her when she opened her eyes. She blinked. Lucien was still staring, unblinking. She blinked again—Lucien was still staring.
Immediately, she staggered back, belatedly realizing that he was awake. The scare made her tumble backward and fall, rolling back until she hit the wall. The entire structure shook slightly; a wooden cup from the table tumbled down and landed on her butt which were unfortunately facing up.
Lucien looked away... they were slightly transparent.
The young lady quickly stood up and dusted herself off with shameless dignity.
She exhaled and looked at Lucien again. He turned his head and met her gaze.
