Chapter 9 - Chapter 2129: Crushing and Trampling

"Pan Buwang! How dare you speak to the Divine God like that?! Are you tired of living?"

The entire Owl Butterfly Divine Kingdom erupted in outrage, their voices filled with fury.

Pan Buzhuo stepped forward with a sneer. "Pan Buwang, don't think that just because your godhood now surpasses mine, you can act as you please. The sky above the Owl Butterfly Kingdom has always belonged to the Father God!"

He pointed coldly. "My cultivation improves day by day, each step solid and steady. You've been wasting your life in obscurity for three years—how can you even dream of defeating me?"

After Lord Qiheng had spoken in his favor, Pan Buzhuo had been relieved. With his position as Son of God secure, all he needed to do was perform well in the upcoming Pure Land ranking. After that, the title would be his beyond question.

Even if Pan Buwang had perfect godhood… it would be meaningless.

"It's exactly because this ranking is so important," Pan Buwang said coldly, his eyes fixed on Buzhuo, "that only the strongest should represent our kingdom. And in front of me, you're nothing."

His voice brimmed with sarcasm and contempt.

Pan Yusheng frowned. "Originally, I intended to let you two compete for the title, but with only three days left before the Fog Sea Competition, any injuries could jeopardize our kingdom's placement. If that happens, you'll bear the sin of our failure. So, I'll have to disappoint you this time."

In truth, Pan Yusheng didn't believe Pan Buwang had the strength he claimed. He still remembered his son from three years ago—broken, begging like a dog, all for the sake of two women.

A man like that… how could he ever be entrusted with something so important?

Pan Buwang let out a bitter, half-crazed laugh. "Lord Qiheng! When you stripped me of my position as Son of God, did you hesitate for even a moment? I remember your words clearly."

"'Zhuo'er is more talented. His godhood far surpasses Buwang's. The Son of God title should belong to the most capable.'"

"Just like that, you sentenced me to death. You tossed me from heaven into the abyss. My mother died because of it."

"And now you speak of caution? Of disappointment?!"

"I once looked up to you, respected you, admired you as a father and a role model. But what did I receive in return? Coldness. Rejection. Betrayal."

He raised his voice, declaring boldly:

"Today, I will reveal my true self—and trample the Son of God you raised with your own hands!"

"Worried I'll get injured and ruin the ranking? Fine. Then give me three moves. In just three moves, I'll have Pan Buzhuo crawling beneath my feet!"

His words were neither arrogant nor humble—just full of unshakable confidence, shining once more with the brilliance he had as the former Son of God.

Pan Yusheng didn't rebuke him.

For once, he had no words.

For the first time in years, he felt the weight of guilt—towards his son, and towards the woman he had wronged.

After a long silence, he said, "Very well. We'll settle this in three moves. Zhuo'er, this is your chance to prove your worth. If you win, no one will ever doubt your place as the Son of God again."

"Yes, Father God. I will obey your will."

Pan Buzhuo bowed respectfully, but inside, he cursed Pan Buwang a hundred times over. Still, he wasn't afraid. He was confident. There was no way he would lose.

Lord Qi Heng personally raised a barrier around the combatants.

"Why didn't you just stay dead like a dog?" Buzhuo taunted. "Why crawl back here just to bark in front of me?"

He unleashed his full aura from the start, pouring all his power into the first move. He had no intention of holding back.

Pan Buwang stood still, eyes calm. "You trampled me. You humiliated me. You cast me into darkness. You're the reason my mother died."

"But because of that darkness… my profound energy mutated and evolved. I became stronger than you can imagine."

Dark energy radiated from Pan Buwang's body, not wild or chaotic like normal darkness—but gentle, refined, perfectly controlled.

Both combatants were at the fifth level of the Divine Destruction Realm.

But as they clashed, Pan Yusheng's face changed.

He was the greatest expert in dark profound energy in the entire kingdom, yet what he witnessed from Pan Buwang stunned him: a level of control that was unprecedented. The dark energy flowed like silk, docile as a lamb—something that should have been impossible.

Even he had never wielded such flawless power.

Pan Buzhuo, facing it head-on, felt it most clearly. His own dark energy wavered—unsteady, almost frightened—as if it were being suppressed by Pan Buwang's aura alone.

"This is nothing but a trick!" Buzhuo roared, trying to rally his courage. "Black Magic Fist!"

Dark energy surged to his right hand. He launched a full-force punch at Pan Buwang.

Pan Buwang mirrored the motion.

Same stance. Same punch. But the energy behind it was on a different level—dense, focused, overwhelmingly oppressive.

The fists collided.

Buzhuo's arm went instantly numb. His dark energy collapsed. His mind reeled.

Before he could react, Pan Buwang closed in.

"Second move—Forbidden Darkness!"

A massive hand of dark energy exploded forth, wrapping around Buzhuo's body like an iron vice. He couldn't move an inch.

"Final move—Obsidian Phantom Light!"

From the sky above, a dark light burst down like a storm of black arrows. Each beam pierced with terrifying precision and force, raining judgment.

"AAARRRGHHHH!!"

Buzhuo's agonized screams echoed within the barrier.

It had all happened in seconds. From their first clash to the final blow, only a few breaths had passed.

Yet the gap between them was as vast as heaven and earth.

Pan Buzhuo, covered in blood, lay crumpled on the ground—gasping like a dying animal. Pan Buwang stepped forward, raised his foot, and stomped hard on his brother's face—just as Buzhuo had done to him years ago.

Outside the barrier, Pan Yusheng remained motionless. He didn't stop him.

He simply closed his eyes.

The battle had shattered his soul.

The son he thought broken and disgraced… now stood reborn, possessing perfect godhood and flawless mastery over dark profound energy. He was no longer a fantasy—he was real.

"From this moment forward," Pan Yusheng declared, "Pan Buwang is the one and only Son of God of the Owl Butterfly Divine Kingdom! His words are my will. None shall disobey!"

Everyone in the kingdom was stunned.

Then, one by one, they knelt before Pan Buwang, pledging loyalty to their new Son of God. Many had mocked and humiliated him over the years—now, they feared retaliation.

No one spared even a glance for Pan Buzhuo.

His fate no longer mattered.

All that remained in their eyes was reverence for Pan Buwang.

Pan Buwang looked skyward, eyes burning with silent grief.

"Mother… I've finally reclaimed a small piece of justice for you."
