CHAPTER 47: THE QUEST OF A NAMELESS VILLAGE
Inside the Heavenly Paradise Base, the early morning sunlight poured in lazily. Shen lounged on a desk, legs up, while Ruke and he stared at the mission board.
A massive list of quests floated mid-air, glowing with enchanted ink.
Ruke: "We should go for this one—'Protect Noble Transport.' Easy and done."
Shen: "Nah, too boring. What about 'Capture Giant Forest Rat, Rank B'?"
Ruke: (frowning) "That's worse!"
From the side, Kenya leaned against the wall, quiet as usual. Eliz was absent—out training solo.
Their argument grew louder.
Ruke: "Why do you always want stupid quests?"
Shen: "Because stupid ones become legendary ones."
Suddenly, Shen turned.
Shen: "Alright. Kenya, you choose."
Kenya raised an eyebrow, closed his eyes, and flicked his fingers across the floating quest list. His finger stopped on the second-last quest.
The room went silent.
Ruke: "Wait… that one?"
The glowing quest title slowly expanded in front of them.
> "Demon Activity Detected – Village Name Unknown. Threat Level: MM. Urgency: Low (Reported Yesterday)."
Shen scratched his head. "Hmm. Sounds fishy. I like fishy."
At that exact moment, the base door slammed open—Commander Ryulga marched in, serious-faced.
Ryulga: "That quest? I marked it yesterday. No response from that village since."
Shen (grinning): "Then it's ours."

Moments Later – Inside the Revilsor
The black armored vehicle roared across dusty roads, its magical engine humming with wild energy.
Shen drove.
Ruke: "Are you even following a map?"
Shen: "No need. My Supreme Lord Eye can see the road destiny makes."
Ruke: "That's not how maps work!"
Suddenly, the landscape twisted—the trees thinned, and the ground darkened. Burnt ash coated everything.
Ruke's lightning aura crackled. His eyes widened.
Ruke: "Hey, hey… Shen—is that—?"
Ahead, a field of shattered huts, black smoke rising from crumbled homes.
Shen (calmly): "Ah yes, boy. That's the one."
Suddenly, Ruke surged with power.
"Forget this—I'm flying in!"
His feet sparked, launching himself into the sky like a thunderbolt.
Shen: "He just left the wheel—!"
The Revilsor shook violently, skidding sideways without a driver. Kenya sighed and calmly placed his foot on the wheel, steering with no hands.
---
In the Village – Moments Later
Ruke landed hard, lightning flashing across the broken village square.
Ruke: "HELLO!? VILLAGERS?!"
No answer.
Not a scream. Not a cry. Nothing but the crackling of ruined wood.
He ran, eyes wide. Blood stains… claw marks on walls… the scent of rot.
His voice echoed:
"Anyone here!?"
But silence was the only reply.
He turned a corner—
And froze.
A massive blood rune carved into the ground pulsed faintly. Demonic energy still lingered. Whatever happened here—it wasn't over.
