Chapter 61 - THE DEMON LORD ARRIVING

Chapter 61

"A Line That Will Not Break"

---

The western front roared with explosions.

Massive Arcane Beasts crashed through stone barricades. Wings of obsidian demons sliced through the skies. The battlefield was chaos—fire, wind, and magic clashed endlessly.

In the center, three warriors stood like pillars of steel.

Shen Karguro.

Kenya Naro.

Eliz Betham.

Their uniforms were burned. Faces cut. Blood staining their gloves.

And still—they held the line.

Shen raised his hand, his Supreme Lord Eye glowing an eerie blue. With one breath, he unleashed a barrage of black and purple magic spheres. Dozens of demons turned to ash mid-air.

Kenya's fists were coated in roaring flame. He dashed through the horde like a firestorm, igniting every enemy in his path.

> "Stay in formation!" he barked. "They're swarming from the left!"

> "Got it!" Eliz called out.

She slammed her staff into the ground. From beneath, a black cyclone erupted—Death Spiral Seal—sucking in a wave of attackers and shredding them with dark magic wind.

A huge Arcane beast, taller than a house, roared and lunged forward.

Shen's eyes locked onto it.

> "Kenya!"

> "Already on it!"

Kenya leapt into the sky, flames twisting into a Fire Demon Lance. He pierced the monster through the skull midair and landed beside Shen with a grunt.

> "That's number 78," he muttered.

> "Keep counting. I'll break 100 before you," Shen smirked.

Eliz rolled her eyes. "Boys…"

Suddenly, their earpieces buzzed.

> "Ruke to Command. Western line is stable. Nolan arrived at the eastern front."

> "Nolan?" Kenya raised a brow.

> "That idiot's still alive?" Shen blinked.

> "Unfortunately," Ruke replied dryly. "He mistook me for Shen… then backhanded a demon into orbit. He's helping."

> "Sounds like Nolan," Shen chuckled.

Their moment of calm didn't last.

The ground trembled. The air darkened.

A massive shadow stretched over the battlefield—larger than any Arcane they had seen today.

From the black clouds descended a creature with six wings and glowing emerald eyes.

A High-Class Arcane General.

Its voice echoed across the sky like thunder.

> "Drifters… your resistance ends here."

Shen stepped forward, his blades forming in each hand.

Kenya's flame aura exploded.

Eliz's magic circle glowed under her feet.

None of them flinched.

> "We've beaten your kind before," Shen said coldly. "You're just another stepping stone."

> "You dare speak so arrogantly—"

> "Shut up and fight," Kenya growled, eyes glowing red.

The General unleashed a blast of dark green magic, cutting across the field. Shen met it with a barrier of purple, sparks flying as the forces clashed.

Eliz teleported behind the creature and fired a Black Thorn Barrage. Kenya leapt in with a Blazing Uppercut, and Shen followed up with a Dark Mage Wave that cracked the ground.

The General screamed.

But it wasn't dead.

Not yet.

It hovered, wounded—but smirking.

> "You three… are strong. But can you last… against all of us?"

Suddenly—six more generals emerged from the sky behind him.

The Drifters froze for just a second.

But Shen took one step forward.

> "Then we just won't lose."

His Supreme Lord Eye flared even brighter.

Kenya summoned his Fire Demon Form 2.

Eliz's eyes burned with dark energy.

> "Together," Shen said, "this line… will not break."

And with that—

The final battle for the western front began.
