Chapter 5 - This Willow Tree Has Become a Spirit

One day passed.

"Didn't the True Blood Baptism finish long ago? Is Yi'er still in meditation?"

"Yi'er probably comprehended some Precious Technique. Don't disturb him."

Three days passed.

"This Precious Technique is very strong. With Yi'er's talent and the assistance of the Double Pupil, he hasn't finished comprehending it even after three days."

"I remember the Pure-Blooded Ferocious Beast true blood left by the Old Ancestor was Qilin True Blood. Could Yi'er have comprehended the Qilin Treasure Technique?"

Seven days passed.

"Yi'er truly is a Sage Reincarnation. At only six years old, he can meditate for such a long time. It seems Yi'er has at least comprehended a fragmented Qilin Treasure Technique."

"Ninth Brother, you and Thirteenth Brother should take Yi'er to the First Ancestral Land now. If he wakes up, he probably won't want to go through hardship, and that will be troublesome."

These Old Ancestors of the Martial King Manor are all Venerable Realm experts, human supremes. Unless the Human Emperor uses the Stone Country's Imperial Dragon Qi, they are basically invincible in the human world.

Especially Shi Hao's grandfather, Shi Zhongtian, known as the Great Demon King. At his peak, he could even fight the Human Emperor with Imperial Dragon Qi to a standstill.

It was also for this reason that Shi Zhongtian dared to step into the extremely bloody Battlefield of Hundred Clans to fight for a portion of Pure-Blooded Ferocious Beast true blood for his grandson, Shi Hao.

Otherwise, he would just be entering the Battlefield of Hundred Clans to provide blood and food for the Ancient Descendants and Pure-Blooded Lifeforms, filling their bellies.

The Battlefield of Hundred Clans is a dangerous forbidden area that only human supremes, meaning those in the Venerable Realm, dare to enter.

Without some skill or reliance, Shi Zhongtian wouldn't have dared to rashly step into the bloody Battlefield of Hundred Clans.

Half a month later.

Great Wilderness, Stone Clan's First Ancestral Land, Stone Village.

Stone Village is located in the Vast Mountain Range. Surrounded by vast, towering mountains, between the peaks and valleys, Prehistoric Ferocious Beasts roam freely and Ancient Descendants appear. It is the most primitive and vast forbidden area for lifeforms.

It is now the middle of the night, the darkness is deep and pitch black. But in this vast mountain range, it is not quiet. Ferocious beasts roar, shaking the mountains and rivers, trees tremble, and leaves rustle down.

Countless figures with grotesque and strange appearances dart around in the dark mountains. Almost every moment, killing is happening in this vast mountain range.

If someone stood at the highest point of the Vast Mountain Range and looked towards a slightly flat area to the east, they would find a soft light faintly visible.

This faintly visible light, hidden beneath the endless dark night and among the myriad mountains, is like a weak candle flame flickering, ready to be extinguished at any moment.

This is the light emitted by the Offering Spirit. Living in this dangerous Great Wilderness, it is impossible to survive without an Offering Spirit.

Humans need the protection of the Offering Spirit, and the Offering Spirit also needs human offerings. Both sides have their own interests.

An Offering Spirit can be a plant, an animal, or even a stone, as long as it possesses powerful strength and can protect a group of lifeforms, it can become an Offering Spirit.

But this is the Great Wilderness after all, where countless Prehistoric Ferocious Beasts run rampant and Ancient Descendants frequently appear. Those truly qualified to become Offering Spirits are ultimately few.

But in Stone Village, there is such an Offering Spirit. It has protected Stone Village for many years.

Stone Village has faced the crisis of being wiped out many times, and it was this Offering Spirit that resolved them.

Following the faintly visible light and gradually approaching Stone Village, one can clearly see a half-section of a huge withered tree in the center of Stone Village. The trunk is five or six meters in diameter.

The withered wood was completely charred black. Aside from half of its main trunk, it only had one slender branch left, yet it was radiating vitality. Its leaves were crystalline, like they were carved from green jade.

These emerald green leaves emitted a soft glow, continuously spreading outwards, directly enveloping the entire Stone Village, like an inverted large bowl.

It was obvious.

This half-withered wood was a Willow Tree.

And it was a Willow Tree that had been struck by lightning.

Many years ago, this Willow Tree had encountered a sky-reaching lightning strike, and its massive canopy and vigorous vitality were destroyed. Now, only a section of the trunk, eight or nine meters high and astonishingly thick, remained on the surface.

And that single willow branch, like a divine chain of green mist, diffused a halo, enveloping and protecting the entire village, making this dwelling place hazy, like a land of immortals, appearing very mysterious in this Great Wilderness.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..."

A gust of wind blew, and a massive dark cloud crossed the sky, covering the entire night sky and blocking the only bit of starlight. The Vast Mountain Range appeared even darker.

"Screech!"

An extremely ferocious bird cry came from the sky, piercing metal and cracking stone, enough to rupture eardrums. Upon closer inspection, it was an incredibly massive giant bird, covering the sky and moon, its body length unknown.

As it passed over Stone Village, it looked down. Its two eyes were like two blood moons, radiating monstrous ferocity. It stared at the Willow Tree for a moment, a human-like hint of fear flashing in its eyes, and finally flew towards the deepest part of the mountain range.

After this massive ferocious bird passed by.

Stone Village was peaceful for a long time.

It wasn't until the latter half of the night that the ground began to tremble. A blurry figure walked from afar, as tall as the mountains.

A terrifying aura emanated, and the mountains and valleys were deathly silent. Ferocious birds and beasts all lay dormant, not daring to make a sound.

Closer, it was a terrifying creature with a human form, walking upright, its size astonishingly large, its height comparable to mountains. It had no hair all over its body, which was covered in golden scales, shining like gold.

This terrifying creature with a human form had no facial features. Between its eyebrows, there was only a blood-red vertical eye. When it opened and closed, it was like a golden lightning flash, captivating the soul. Its blood energy was like a sea, like a divine demon.

As it passed by, like the massive ferocious bird, it lowered its head and glanced at the Willow Tree in the center of Stone Village. At this moment, it unexpectedly discovered two auras that made its heart feel apprehensive.

It subtly glanced at the two Venerable Realm elders hidden around Stone Village, lingered for a moment, then quickly departed. The towering mountains were shaken by its footsteps, and the peaks trembled violently.

This entire night was restless.

Fortunately, the villagers of Stone Village were already used to it. At night, whatever happened outside Stone Village had nothing to do with them; as long as they didn't leave Stone Village, they were safe.

At dawn, the morning sun rose.

The pale golden sunlight shone on people, making them feel warm all over. The old and young of Stone Village also came out of their homes one by one, preparing to welcome a new day.

At this time.

In the center of Stone Village, beside the Willow Tree, Shi Yi, who had been sitting cross-legged in the Great Bronze Cauldron, gradually woke up. He had completely engraved the incomplete Qilin Treasure Technique, which was the Kirin Steps, into his soul, allowing him to initially control this Precious Technique.

Looking up, Shi Yi saw a slender willow branch emitting a faint green glow gently swaying in the wind. He ignored this and jumped directly out of the Great Bronze Cauldron. In a daze, he untied his pants and relieved himself under the trunk of a charred black Willow Tree.

The water in the reservoir hadn't even been fully released yet when an emerald green willow branch descended from the sky and directly tied up the audacious and shameless Shi Yi.

"Has this Willow Tree become a spirit?"

Shi Yi rubbed his eyes and subconsciously activated the Qilin Treasure Technique he had just learned, which was the Kirin Steps, and kicked towards the Willow Tree that had tied him up.

Before the Kirin Steps could unleash its earth-shattering power, the thin willow branches binding Shi Yi tightened with force. Almost instantly, Shi Yi's activated Kirin Steps lost its effect.

"Do you believe I'll call someone?" Shi Yi was about to speak.

The next second.

Several more willow branches descended from the sky and whipped Shi Yi's buttocks.

"Slap, slap, slap," several crisp sounds rang out.

Shi Yi finally quieted down.

"Senior, I was wrong!"
