Chapter 58 - girls feelings

Camila – POV

Julia went home, saying she'd spent too much time away and that she finally had an answer for the boys. She mentioned a little chat with Anthony had helped clear her mind.

After my shower and a quick snack, I noticed a message from Anthony. He'd responded to my voice note:

"Awch… guess you don't need a personal driver anymore 😔 but I do need a passenger princess. Just sayin'."

What was he getting at?

I didn't want to get ahead of myself like I did before. I couldn't let my heart run off and believe he still cared about me. Still, I had to respond.

"What about your little brunette friend?"

I knew I was being petty and childish. I shouldn't even be talking to him—he was the one who walked away. But I couldn't help it. I loved him. Deeply.

Of course, he had no idea. I never said anything. Not that I thought it would've changed anything... but still, I wished I had.

I wasn't expecting a response after that last message, but one came anyway:

"Kara? She's cool. Smart. Kinda reminds me of you. I think we're just classmates."

He thinks she's just a classmate?

My heart dropped. What did he mean? Did he have feelings for her or not? I couldn't bring myself to reply—not yet, anyway. I just wanted to sit, play games, and lose myself in a bag of chips.

Julia – POV

I left Camila's house with two things: a secret and a resolution. I took Anthony's words to heart, and I hoped he took mine the same way.

When I got home, I hugged my dad, smacked my brothers on the back of the head, and ran down the hall. They laughed and threw paper at me. I laughed, too, then pulled out my phone.

I took a deep breath, hesitated for a moment, then texted Tyler.

"Meet me at the hill behind the old mining pit."

I sent the same message to Antwan. After dinner, I waited until my family was asleep, then slipped through the door and headed to the hill.

When I got there, Tyler was already waiting—made sense, since he lived closer. I sat beside him.

"You look like a woman on a mission," he teased.

I smiled. "I wanted to talk to you separately before Antwan gets here."

His expression changed. He looked nervous—scared, even. I didn't know what he was expecting, but I wanted to apologize.

Especially since things had gone much further with him than they had with Antwan.

"I'm sorry for how things happened," I told him. "Things went further between us than with Antwan... we slept together, you went down on me twice, we kissed more times... I just felt like you deserved to hear it from me."

He nodded. "There's no need to apologize. We weren't official. I can't really ask for more than honesty."

As we spoke, Antwan's car pulled up at the base of the hill. He hopped out, waved, and jogged up to us.

"Perfect timing," Tyler muttered.

Antwan reached the top and greeted us. I sat between the two of them.

This was it.

I looked up. The Milky Way stretched across the sky—stars spilled out like milk. It was beautiful.

I stood.

"If you'll both have me," I said quietly, "and if you're both willing to stay... I won't run away or shut down again. This isn't an ultimatum. I'm saying yes—to your proposal."

My hands trembled. I was scared. Shitless. (Okay, not literally. But it felt that way.)

They just stared at me in silence.

"Never mind," I mumbled, trying to move away awkwardly.

Tyler grabbed my arm gently. "Hey, calm down."

Antwan hugged me from behind.

They both smiled. "We're just happy you gave the idea a chance."

So… they weren't angry. They were serious.

I sat down, still unsure. "Okay. But... how would it work?"

Tyler lay his head in my lap, his jacket draped over my knees. Antwan placed his jacket over my shoulders, his hand resting lightly on it.

"We'll figure it out," Tyler whispered, tracing lazy circles on my hand. "Just as we are."

Would I date them separately? Together? What about dates? What about... everything?

I had so many questions. But in this moment, I decided to stay quiet—and watch the stars with Tyler and Antwan.
