Jungkook
The stranger's words echoed in his ears:
"I'm the one who breaks the toys V forgets."
And then, just like that—he was gone.
Minho, he said his name was. The man didn't buy anything. Didn't even glance at the snacks or gum racks like normal people. Just stared at Jungkook like he was a target. A prize.
Jungkook locked the door the moment he left, heart slamming against his ribs like a trapped bird. His phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number.
Did he touch you?
– V
Hands trembling, Jungkook didn't reply. But something inside him… twisted. He wasn't sure if it was panic or heat.
He reached for his keys and ran out of the store—needed air, needed to breathe, needed out.
But the second he turned the corner—A black car screeched to a stop.
Before he could scream, a door opened and—
"Get in."
The voice was low. Dangerous.
Taehyung.
Jungkook froze. He didn't move. He couldn't. Not until Taehyung stepped out himself. No longer the calm professor. No longer the ghost in the shadows.
This was V.
Black coat flaring in the wind. Cold eyes. Jaw clenched. A gun holstered at his side like it belonged there. And his voice—oh god—his voice was lethal.
"I said get in, sweetheart."
And Jungkook… obeyed.
Inside the car. Silence. Tension.
"Why did you let him get close to you?" Taehyung asked finally, voice a razor.
"I didn't let anything happen!" Jungkook snapped, panic giving him courage. "He just—he just showed up!"
"You should've told me."
"You shouldn't be stalking me!"
Taehyung turned to him slowly, eyes dangerous.
"I warned you. I told you you're mine now. And he crossed the line."
"Why do you care?" Jungkook whispered.
Taehyung didn't answer right away.
Then he leaned in, so close Jungkook could smell leather and smoke and something darker.
"Because I don't share my favorite toys."
Taehyung's POV
He could still see the outline of Minho's face from the security footage. That bastard thought he could touch Jungkook? Could threaten what belonged to Taehyung?
Not a chance.
He'd buried men for less.
As the car sped off, Taehyung reached over, fingers brushing Jungkook's wrist. The boy flinched—but didn't pull away.
"I'll keep you safe," Taehyung said lowly. "Even from yourself."
Jungkook turned to him. Eyes wide. Vulnerable. Burning.
"Then keep me," he whispered.
Taehyung's heart stopped.
That was the moment he knew…
This wasn't just a game anymore.
Final Scene
Later that night, as Jungkook sat alone in his apartment—safe but shaken—another note slid under the door.
In elegant, inky script:
Sleep tight, little lamb. The wolves are watching.– M
He dropped it.
The shadows outside his window didn't move.
But he felt it.
Someone was watching.
And this time… it wasn't V.
