Chapter 22 - Wu Tianyu's Research

Wu Tianyu, Liang Chen's very efficient secretary, watched the crisis at Horizon Tech from just outside Liang Chen's war room and felt more and more scared as it went on. The air was full of suppressed panic, and the engineers' hearts raced as they typed quickly. He looked at Liang Chen, whose face was tired and whose usual calm was strained. He felt a strong urge to protect him. His job wasn't just to keep track of calls and schedules; it was also to anticipate needs, fix problems before they got worse, and, in this unusual situation, find a way out when all other options seemed to fail.

There was no denying the harsh truth: Horizon Tech's internal cybersecurity team was clearly outmatched, even though they were good at what they did. The outside consultants they had hired, who were well-known and had impressive credentials, had also hit dead ends. Their usual methods didn't work against the sneaky nature of the attack. Wu Tianyu, who had a very sharp mind, quickly saw that this was not a problem that could be solved by normal business methods. Liang Chen needed more than that. He needed an expert whose skills went beyond the usual limits of corporate cybersecurity.

This desperate realization pushed him to explore a world very different from his clean, tidy office: the digital underground. He started his research with great care, fueled by strong black coffee and late nights. He found his way through encrypted forums he didn't know existed, sorted through hidden whispers of reputation, and figured out the strange language of a world based on anonymity and raw, undeniable skill. He carefully chose each search term and methodically explored each rabbit hole in order to find people or groups who really worked at the highest level of digital security, where traditional recruitment methods couldn't reach them.

Hours turned into days as I quietly searched for something in the dark. As he was about to give up, a small glimmer of hope appeared in the digital shadows. He began to notice that some names, or aliases, were mentioned over and over again, subtly endorsed, and had an almost mythical quality about them. People were talking about people whose solutions didn't make sense and whose methods were new. Wu Tianyu felt a strong sense of determination. He was about to find something amazing, a possible answer that could save Horizon Tech and, more importantly, Liang Chen from going over the edge.
