Liam, Jake, and Emily stood outside Allison's house, looking at each other nervously. They had planned on checking on Allison before they went on the planned mission at hand.
"I don't know if this is a good idea," Emily said. "She was pretty clear about not wanting to see us."
Liam shook his head. "We have to try," he said. "We can't just sit back and do nothing."
Jake nodded. "Besides, we might be able to convince her to let us help her."
The three of them walked up to the front door and knocked. But there was no answer.
Liam frowned. "That's weird," he said.
Emily's eyes narrowed. "Maybe she's just not answering the door," she said.
But Liam had a bad feeling. He walked around to the side of the house and peered through the window.
And then he saw it. A note on the kitchen counter, with a few scribbled lines.
"Please dont look for me, please don't follow me.. because by the time you're seeing this, it is already late.. I have to do this alone. I can't risk the lives of those I cherished most.. and I'm so heartbroken to leave you guys. Please understand, I have accepted this as my fate, and I have to face it alone. You have done so much already.. thanks, from your dear friend, Allison,"
"Allison's gone," Liam said, his voice tight with worry. "She's gone to the location."
Jake's eyes widened. "What? How did she...?"
Liam shook his head. "I don't know. But we have to go after her."
Emily's face was set. "We can't let her do this alone."
The three of them quickly came up with a plan, their minds racing with possibilities.
"We'll need to take my car," Liam said. "It's the fastest way to get there."
Jake nodded. "Let's go."
As they set off, Liam's anxiety grew. The location was hours away, and they had no idea what they would find when they got there.
But they had to try. They had to save Allison's father, no matter what.
The three of them drove in silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts except for Liam asking Emily of which direction to take
Finally, Emily spoke up. "Do you guys think we'll make it in time?"
Liam's eyes were fixed on the road ahead. "I don't know," he said. "But we have to try."
Jake nodded. "We'll do everything we can."
As the hours passed, the tension in the car grew. They were getting close, and they knew it.
But what would they find when they arrived? Would Allison be okay?
And what about Allison's father? Would they be able to save him?
Only time would tell...
As they drove, the scenery outside changed from bustling city streets to rolling hills and countryside. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape.
Liam's eyes were fixed on the road ahead, his mind racing with thoughts of Allison and her father. He couldn't shake the feeling that they were running out of time.
Jake and Emily were quiet, lost in their own thoughts. They knew that they had to be careful, that they didn't know what they were up against.
After a few hours of driving, Liam finally spoke up. "We're getting close," he said. "I can feel it."
Jake and Emily looked at each other, their eyes filled with a mix of excitement and fear.
"What's the plan when we get there?" Emily asked.
Liam's eyes were grim. "We'll play it by ear," he said. "We don't know what we're up against."
Jake nodded. "We'll be careful," he said.
As they rounded a bend in the road, Liam slammed on the brakes. "Look," he said, pointing to a small building in the distance.
It was an old warehouse, surrounded by a high fence. The building looked abandoned, but Liam could sense that something was off.
"That's it," he said. "That's where Allison's father is being held."
Jake and Emily looked at each other, their eyes filled with determination.
"Let's do this," Jake said.
The three of them got out of the car, their hearts racing with anticipation. They knew that they were taking a great risk, but they were determined to save Allison's father.
As they approached the warehouse nearer, Liam could feel a sense of unease. Something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
All of a sudden, a screeching sound was heard, like someone was being whipped with a horse whip, and the sound was the cry of the receiver. And maybe, that might be Allison's dad.
Suddenly, Emily grabbed his arm. "Wait," she said. "Do you hear that?"
Liam and Jake listened, and soon they could hear the sound of footsteps coming from inside the warehouse.
"It's Allison," Liam said, his heart racing with fear. "She's inside."
Without hesitation, the three of them crept towards the warehouse, their hearts pounding in their chests. Their movement was so discreet that, hardly their movement could be heard.
As they reached the entrance door, Liam slowly turned the handle and pushed it open. The three of them peeped inside, with their eyes scanning the dimly lit warehouse.
And then they saw her. Allison was standing in the centre of the room, her eyes fixed on something in front of her.
Liam's heart skipped a beat as he saw the look of fear on Allison's face. What was going on?
Without hesitation, the three of them crept towards Allison, their hearts pounding in their chests. They knew that they had to be careful, that they didn't know what they were up against.
As they reached the side, hiding beside one of the expired wares, near Allison's side, Liam saw what she was looking at. A figure was standing in front of her, a figure that Liam recognized.
It was Sophia, the girl who had been bullying Allison for weeks. But there was something different about her now, something that sent a chill down Liam's spine.
Sophia's eyes were black as coal, and her skin was deathly pale. She was standing perfectly still, her eyes fixed on Allison.
Liam's heart was racing with fear. What was going on? He whispered to others.
And then Sophia spoke, her voice low and menacing. "Welcome, Liam," she said. "I've been waiting for you."
Liam's eyes were suddenly fixed on Sophia, his heart pounding in his chest. How did she know we were here. Did she see us coming in.
But before he could ask, Sophia raised her hand and pointed at Allison. "You're just in time to see the show," she said.
And with that, the lights in the warehouse began to flicker, and a strange noise filled the air. Liam's heart was racing with fear, and he knew that they were in grave danger.
What was Sophia planning? And how were they going to get out of this alive?
Only time would tell...
