Chapter 8: The Morning After

Ava woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing. She groggily reached over to turn it off, but as she sat up, she was hit with a wave of memories from the night before. She and Ethan had gotten closer, and things had gotten intense.

As she looked around the room, she realized that she was in Ethan's apartment. She had spent the night with him, and now she wasn't sure what to do.

Ava slowly got out of bed and started getting dressed. She needed to get out of there before Ethan woke up. She didn't know what to say to him, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to face him.

As she was putting on her shoes, Ethan stirred in the bed. "Good morning," he said, his voice husky.

Ava turned to him, feeling a mix of emotions. "Good morning," she replied, trying to sound casual.

Ethan sat up, rubbing his eyes. "How did you sleep?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Ava smiled, feeling a little more at ease. "I slept well," she said, trying to downplay the situation.

Ethan nodded, and they sat there in silence for a moment. Ava knew that she needed to get out of there, but she wasn't sure how to leave things with Ethan.

"Thanks for last night," Ethan said, breaking the silence. "I had a great time."

Ava smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "I had a great time too," she said, trying to sound casual.

As they talked, Ava realized that she wasn't sure what she wanted. She didn't know if she was ready for a relationship with Ethan, but she knew that she couldn't deny the chemistry between them.

"I should go," Ava said, standing up.

Ethan nodded, standing up with her. "I'll walk you out," he said, his voice low and husky.

As they walked to the door, Ava felt a sense of uncertainty. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew that she was drawn to Ethan.

"Thanks for walking me out," Ava said, smiling up at him.

Ethan smiled back, his eyes locked onto hers. "Anytime," he said, his voice filled with warmth.

As Ava left the apartment, she felt a sense of excitement and nervousness. She knew that she had to figure out what she wanted, but she was ready to take a chance.
