There's a difference between seeing Anthony's vulnerable side—the part where he kissed me like I was the only being in his world—and this side. The side where he let his walls truly fall.
"I meant it when I said you were my wall," he whispered, his hand brushing softly along my cheek. "I meant every word when I said you ruined me… when I couldn't get enough of just our kiss."
I closed my eyes, letting his scent wrap around me.
"I want to protect you. And this… this is the only way I know how." His breath caressed my ear, and I shivered as his lips barely brushed my skin.
"You don't have to be scared. Nothing will happen to me," I murmured, trying to soothe the storm in his eyes.
Gently, he took my hand, his lips finding the hollow of my neck in a kiss so tender it stole my breath. "I'm afraid… it's the only way I know."
When he leaned back, and his scent drifted from me, my eyes opened at once, searching for him.
