Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Abnormal! Nanashi was just as surprised.

"Wasn't it Imu who was supposed to bring about the end of Nami's world?"

An abnormal doomsday… What could that mean?

As for Suzuki Satoru, the situation was different.

In his world, the apocalypse had already come and gone. The land was in ruins, and stepping outside required gas masks and protective gear. If anything, that world was a certain doomsday rather than an uncertain one.

That left only one possibility—this "abnormal doomsday" referred to the moment when he had transitioned from the game world to another reality.

Meanwhile, in Cocoyasi Village, Nami cast a glance toward the location of Arlong Park.

The supposed "end of the world" wasn't her concern right now. She was already trapped in her own personal hell.

Clenching her fists, she opened the group chat and typed a question.

Nami:"Can humans really defeat fishmen?"

March 7th:"Fishmen? You mean mermaids?"

Nami:"No, not mermaids! They're demons!"

Saeko:"You seem to have a strong hatred for them. Did something happen?"

Nami:"Fishmen are monsters! Ruthless pirates who took over my home, Cocoyasi Village! They stole everything and killed my mother!"

Saeko:"…I'm sorry for bringing up something painful."

Nanashi:"Fishmen aren't invincible. In fact, in your world, humans are the truly powerful ones. That Fishmen Arlong is just a small-time thug."

Nami's eyes widened.

Nami:"A fishman's physical strength is ten times that of a human! And you're calling them weak? How is that possible?"

Nanashi:"Your perspective is too limited. In your world, there's a place called the New World, filled with pirates whose bounties exceed 100 million. The four strongest figures there are known as the Four Emperors—each of them human, some even stronger thanks to Devil Fruits."

Nanashi:"In reality, fishmen are just enslaved underlings."

Nami froze.

The New World… The Four Emperors… Fishmen are just slaves?

She had never heard of any of this.

Just as Nanashi had said—her world was too small.

Nami:"What about you? Can you defeat a fishman?"

Nanashi:"Me? Those weaklings? I could crush them with a single finger."

Nami:"That's amazing! Please, help me! I'll pay you—no, I'll give you everything I have! Just save Cocoyasi Village!"

Nanashi:"Sorry… I can't enter your world unless an 'abnormal doomsday' event takes place."

Nami felt like she had been punched in the gut.

She had seen hope—only for it to be ripped away in an instant.

Her eyes burned with frustration, but before she could say anything, a shadow fell over her.

A group of fishmen was approaching.

At the same time, a notification appeared in the Doomsday Chat.

[Doomsday Event Triggered: Group member Nami has encountered an 'Abnormal Doomsday Factor.' Doomsday Journey Initiated!]

[Companion Travel Mode]: Two-Person Travel[Travel Time]: 1 Hour[Participants]: Nami, Nanashi[Mission]: Eliminate the Arlong Pirates and the Reborn Fishman Arlong

Nanashi:"Whut???"

What the hell? A 'reborn' Arlong?

Did that mean Arlong had returned from the dead?

Nanashi felt uneasy—this abnormal doomsday was getting weirder by the second.

But now wasn't the time to overthink things.

Saeko:"Only Nanashi can go with her on this mission?"

Lemuel:"A 'companion mission'? And what does 'reborn' mean?"

Nanashi:"I think I have an idea. I'll explain later. I'm heading out."

Glancing around his classroom, he exhaled.

The moment he confirmed the mission, time around him froze.

Everything stopped—the students, the movement of the air, even the ticking of the clock.

A glowing portal appeared in front of him. Without hesitation, Nanashi stepped inside.

Cocoyasi Village

Nami stood her ground, facing the fishmen led by an aggressive Arlong.

Something about him was… off.

"Arlong? What do you think you're doing?" she asked cautiously.

The shark-like fishman grinned menacingly, baring his jagged teeth.

"Nami! Shahahaha!" His laughter was wild and unsettling. "I'm going to send you straight to hell!"

A wave of sheer malice radiated from him.

Rebirth.

Arlong had been reborn.

With all the memories of his past life intact, he had returned to this moment in history—before his defeat.

This was the time I lost everything…

I was supposed to create a paradise for fishmen!

Damn Nami… Damn Straw Hat Luffy…

Now that he had been given another chance, he would destroy his enemies with his own hands.

From this moment forward, he would be unstoppable!

And the first to die—was Nami!

Arlong lunged.

Nami barely had time to react.

"What—?!"

In a split second, he was right in front of her.

His webbed hand clamped around her throat, lifting her off the ground effortlessly.

"Shahahahaha! Die, Nami!"

His wild laughter echoed as he tightened his grip.

"Kh…!"

A suffocating force overwhelmed her.

Nami struggled, her nails digging into his arm, but it was useless. The difference in physical strength was too vast—she couldn't even make him budge.

The other fishmen looked on, momentarily stunned.

Then, as realization dawned, they erupted into cheers.

"Hahaha! Kill her, Arlong!"

"Stupid human! Crush her!"

To them, humans were nothing but worthless trash.

Even if Nami had worked under Arlong's rule, she was still just a human.

Her death was nothing to mourn. In fact, they were enjoying the show.

"Ah…"

Her breath grew weaker.

Her vision blurred.

She didn't understand.

Why was Arlong trying to kill her now? Didn't he still want her 100 million berries?

Her consciousness began to fade.

Her thoughts scattered.

Then—resignation.

"What a miserable life… I guess this is the end."

"Bell-mère… I'm coming to see you…"

Nami slowly closed her eyes and stopped struggling.
